Blurry

by Elizabeth E.

Disclaimer: *Looks in the mirror* Nope, still not Joss. Guess that means I don't own any of the characters then huh? Oh and the song belongs to Puddle of Mudd.
Spoilers: Um, I'd defiantly say a big whopping spoiler for season 6, except in my world everything takes place right after Buffy rose from her grave… oh and Angel he's in L.A., kay? Good.
Distribution: Want. Take. Have. Just lemme know where it's going please.
Rating: Um, I'd say R-ish.
Author's Note: Um, well I wrote this kind of a long time ago, like in the beginning of S6 but I never got the chance to send it out, so here I am. I also need to give a BIG HUGE thanks to Chikki cause well she beta'd this (if she even still remembers) *G* and well basically made it worth reading (in my mind at least…) So thanks!
Feedback: Yes please! Feedback makes the world go 'round!

Part 1

//Everything's so blurry, and everyone's so fake
And everybody's empty, and everything is so messed up
Pre-occupied without you, I cannot live at all
My whole world surrounds you, I stumble then I crawl//

The sun was too bright having an unnatural glow to it, her skin crawled- literally or metaphorically she wasn't sure. So there she was, her newly risen body, which sat in the too cramped car, adjusting positions every few seconds trying to get comfortable; an impossible feat she finally managed to accept.

Looking at the speedometer she realized that she had now surpassed seventy and was pushing eighty on the deserted highway- but didn't slow down, if anything she hit the gas peddle harder, she had to get away, get away from this hell; this hell on earth.

She had been at peace. Her soul was finally at peace, a warm soft glow had surrounded her and she knew that it was over. The pain, the heartache, the death; it was over, and she had accepted it, hell, she had even liked it. And her friends had taken it all away. They dumped her in this cruel and ugly world to suffer once again. To face death night after night, to have the pain surface once again in her heart, her friends had betrayed her.

But her love. Her soul mate. Te one man in her entire life and after life she had loved stayed faithful. He had kept going for her. So here she was again, and only minutes away from the hotel. Not sure why she was here, she didn't want to talk, at this moment in time it was just too hard. She knew that he could not provide the comfort or the completion that she wanted, if they, well she knew what would happen if they got too 'close.'

// You could be my someone, you could be my sea
You know that I'll protect you, from all of the obscene
I wonder what you're doing, imagine where you are
There's oceans in between us, but that's not very far//

Yet, here she had been driving that some hundred or so miles to the big city of L.A. to see the one man she treasured most in her life. She pulled up to the curb and slowly emerged from the car. She took a long intake of breath as she shut the door; the movement echoing through the dank empty alley.

The small bell jingled showing that customers, hopefully paying customers, well at least for Cordelia's point of view, were entering. The brunette and two men all looked up, not bothering to hide their surprised gasps. But Buffy paid no attention, she had a mission so to speak, and if she had to stop and talk she knew that all her strength, her courage, and her will would disappear.

Walking up the stairs, for what seemed to be unending distance to Angel's room, Buffy kept a slow and determined pace. Finally, moments later, she was there. She was at the mahogany door to his room, his haven. Opening the door she was assaulted by the scent that was solely Angel. Having to squint, since the unforgiving sun was still high up in the clear afternoon sky, she was not accustomed to the darkness, almost forgetting what it had looked like, the peacefulness it possessed.

// Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face? Explain again to me.
Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face?//

A smile formed on her face. There he was, sleeping so peaceful or at least as peaceful as you could get in this dimension, she thought bitterly to herself. Walking over she closed the too wide of a gap between the lovers. She studied his sleeping form before slowly climbing onto the bed.

Nestling her head in the crook of his neck, she entwined her body with his, waking him up in the process. The two just stayed there, unmoving. Finally Angel turned his head, opening his mouth to speak.

Buffy not wanting to ruin the moment, captured his mouth in a sweet and passionate kiss, their tongues dueling, nipping on mouths, scrapping teeth, as hands wandered; exploring old territory that was still so familiar.

As Buffy's hand wandered down, she began to fumble with his belt, turning out to be an unsuccessful attempt she practically growled as she tore at the leather. Through their kisses, Angel managed to laugh at his petite lovers frustration. Finally managing to get the belt undone, with some help from Angel, the two then proceeded to do away with both their pants and undergarments.

Buffy needed this - she needed the completeness. She needed something to tie her down to this world, or else she was certain that she would leave it, she would end her own life - if there wasn't something here worth living for.

Him.

Her hand impatiently roamed his bare chest, her nails scraping over his hardened nipples.

// Everyone is changing, there's no one left that's real
So make up your own ending, and let me know just how you feel
'Cause I am lost without you, I cannot live at all
My whole world surrounds you, I stumble then I crawl //

His touch on the other hand, was gentle and caressing - this was his Buffy. His love. His angel. So he would always want to treat her with care and adoration.

He gripped her tiny hands in his and made her slow her pace. He caressed her palms and kissed them before rolling them over so that he was on top and in control of this situation.

Their lips met in fiery but passionate kisses. His tongue darted out to smooth over her lips, swollen from their intense kissing.

He placed butterfly kisses all over her tear stricken face. Bending his head down he tenderly kissed the tears away. Taking away some of her emptiness, her hallowness.

She looked adoringly into his soulful eyes and smiled at him sweetly. She was now content to simply let herself feel and not be so hung up and having him hard and fast.

// You could be my someone, you could be my sea
You know that I will save you, from all of the unclean
I wonder what you're doing, I wonder where you are
There's oceans in between us, but that's not very far

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face? Explain again to me.
Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face? This pain you gave to me //

As though they knew they could prolong this lovemaking session for some time - they also knew that they wanted to waste no time in becoming one.

Lips met lips as bodies molded bodies in the age-old rhythm of lovemaking. United as one in their mind, body and soul.

The passion, the lust, the love was all that steered on this act, neither one having a sane or coherent thought in their head at the moment. Just living for the moment, a beautiful memory filled moment; the two lovers disentangled and fell asleep in the inviting arms of their soul mate.

// Oh, Nobody told me what you thought, nobody told me what to say
Everyone showed you where to turn, told you where to run away
Nobody told you where to hide, nobody told you what to say
Everyone showed you where to turn, showed you where to run away

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face? Explain again to me.
Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?
When ya shoved it in my face? This pain you gave to me //

Waking up, Buffy's mind felt refreshed, her body at long last felt complete, like she was finally meant to be in it. She finally felt alive.

With a smile on her face she looked over at the man who made her what she was. And that's when it hit her, what she had just done, what they had just done. What was to come? With great trepidation she looked over at what was her lover.

"Angel." She managed to choke out, her head pounding, her body suddenly very sweaty and shaky.

Turning his head to face her, he gave her that lopsided grin that used to make her turn to mush. Mouthing those three little words that made her knees wobble, her resolve crumble, and the butterflies rise in her chest. "I love you."

It was Angel, and not the demon that wore his beautiful face. A million questions whizzed through her mind: how, was she not good enough, did she mean nothing to him; but one look into his deep soul filled eyes and she knew all her worries were for naught. She didn't know how this happened, or rather how it this didn't happen and why, but for the moment she was content just to feel. To feel loved and safe, wrapped tightly in the arms of her lover.

// No, this pain you gave to me, take it all away
Take it all away, explain again to me.
Take it all away, this pain you gave to me
Take it all away, explain again. //

The End
