"Come on G-man, you can't tell me you don't like Christmas, it's America's number one holiday." Xander stated.

"Yeah when else can you watch Xander do the snoopy dance?" Willow said imitating Xander's dance.

"There are just some things in life that you are better off not knowing," Giles began, "And that is one of them. Now if you don't mind I am going to go into the kitchen and pretending that none of that happened and patiently wait for Buffy and Angel to get here." Giles said moving into the kitchen preparing a pot of tea.

"Speaking of, weren't they supposed to be here like 20 minutes ago?" Willow asked moving to sit next to Oz.

"Yeah we still have lots to talk about, there's cross referencing to be done and then you know more cross referencing." Xander said pretending to be looking in a book.

"Xander, this is no time for that." Giles said annoyed, "Now would any one like some tea?" He asked from the kitchen.

"So what's the what?" Oz asked from his spot on the couch.

"I wanted to wait for Buffy and Angel to get here, but a prophecy." Giles said moving to look in his book.

"New evil to kill?" Xander asked.

"No, this is uh, a different prophecy." Giles said, "But Buffy and Angel should be here to hear this."

"It's that bad, huh?" Xander asked, "So are we going to get to blow something else up? I mean that was pretty cool." He said excited.

"No, no nothing like that I am afraid." Giles said cleaning his glasses and then placing them back on.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Mmm, that feels nice." Buffy purred as Angel rained kisses up and down her face and neck, "Real nice."

"Giles." Angel said stopping his kisses.

"No, Buffy, see I am Buffy." Buffy said trying to kiss him.

"No we are supposed to be at Giles's." Angel said looking at his watch.

"How did I forget?" Buffy asked, knowing it was because she was with Angel, he tended to do that to her.

"Come on." Angel said running out of the mausoleum they had been "patrolling" in.

Buffy ran after Angel, as they ran to Giles's house.

Arriving moments later Buffy opened the door and began to fix her mused hair. "Hi." She began meekly, "We had some unscheduled uh, slayage." She finished meekly.

Willow just gave her an incredulous look as Buffy shrugged and then gave a little smile as she followed Angel to the empty spot on the couch and sat on his lap. "So what's the what?"

"Prophecy." Oz said calmly.

"I'm not going to drown again am I?" Buffy asked,

"Cause that sucks."

"As I was beginning earlier," Giles said and walked over to his book.

"De ja vu." Xander said, "Cool."

"As I was beginning earlier," Giles repeated louder this time. "This is a different kind of prophecy, it has to do with the slayer and her lover, which I am presuming is you Angel." Giles said.

Buffy just groaned, "For once can someone pick on someone else, I mean this whole let's torment the slayer is getting old." Buffy said to no one in particular.

"I am not finished yet," Giles started but was cut off at the knock of the door. Everyone looked around, seeing everyone there, Giles walked towards the door grabbing a stake, "Coming," he said as he opened the door aiming the stake.

"Watch it with those things," Anya said walking in the house, "I am here to talk to Xander, we have unfinished business to discuss." She said pulling his hand and walked to the upstairs. Xander who just looked on helpless shrugged and followed her upstairs.

Giles just sighed and put his book down, "I am never going to finish am I?" He asked looking up at the ceiling.

Buffy who had gotten up and began to read the book which Giles had previously been holding, "Uh, Giles's what does this mean?" Buffy asked curiously.

Walking over towards her, "This is what I have been trying to say, this prophecy has something to do with the slayer and her lover, Angel in which he will evolve." Giles said looking over towards Angel.

"Evolve, how?" Willow asked, "He's not going to turn evil or something, right, cause I was thinking of buying more fish, but if he is going to turn 'grr' then I am not." Willow said acting like a vampire.

"No he is-" Giles said but was once again cut off.

"Angel man, congrats." Whistler said walking through Giles's front door, "Heard 'bout this whole becoming human thing."

"Human?" Buffy asked shocked, "that's what's going to happen?" She ran over to Angel and jumped on him almost knocking the couch over, smothering him with kisses.

Angel just sat in shock; he would be human, human.

"Wow." Oz said, summoning up everyone's feelings.

"What did I miss?" Xander said walking down the stairs after hearing the commotion, turning and seeing Buffy crying, Angel just staring off into space, Willow beaming, and Oz well he was Oz. Giles stood face flushed and Whistler stood with a smirk. "I am guessing a lot, huh."

"Xander." Anya said tugging on his jacket, "What are we going to do, you didn't answer me."

"Anya, I don't think Giles would like it if we did certain things, in certain places." He said trying to be inconspicuous.

"But I don't know how much longer I have, I need to pro-create before I can't. We must get started." Anya said.

"Anya, this is not the time." Xander said and walked down the rest of the steps to join the gang.

"When does this all happen?" Angel asked coming out of his state of shock.

"The first new moon of the 12th month, which if my calculations are right Christmas Eve." Giles said.

"What happens?" Xander asked still confused.

"Now it will take some time albeit, I think they mentioned 2 to 3 months for the complete transition." Giles said looking in his books

"Transition? Months? Huh?" Xander asked.

"Can someone please tell him what is going on so we can leave," Anya demanded.

"It seems as if Angel will evolve, evolve to a human throughout these next few months." Giles said searching through the book as to be sure.

"Dead boy, won't be dead?" Xander said making sure it was true.

"Yeah," Willow said since Buffy and Angel weren't paying too much attention to anyone but themselves.

"So what do I call him then?" Xander asked, "I mean dead boy has a nice ring to it."

"Angel works nicely." Angel said putting his two cents in.

"Nah, that won't work." Xander said, as he began to think.

"Now we know, let's go and have sex." Anya said and began to walk towards the door when she noticed Xander wasn't following. "Xander I thought we discussed this, you-me sex; right."

"I didn't need to hear that." Buffy said at the mention of Xander having sex.

"I do agree," Giles said blushing slightly at Anya's statement, "But, I've think we've had a long night and I think the best thing would be everyone to go home and sleep, we will have a long couple of months ahead were sleep will be rare." Giles then walked everyone to the door saying his good-byes.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"So, well this is my stop." Buffy said pointing to the door to her house.

"Yeah," Angel said.

"Just think soon you'll be human, we can have a future together, a real future, growing old and all." Buffy said; leaning against her door. "Soon I can feel your heart beat, hear it go thump-thump, thump-thump." As she placed her hands on his dead chest. For some strange reason not expecting it to be still.

"Yeah, soon." Angel said leaning down to kiss her. "Soon." He stated once more and walked off into the night.
