~~~~~~~Part 1~~~~~~~
Stepping into the small store he surveyed the chaos that surrounded them. Children and their respective parents running around, grabbing items and shoving them into carts. Small fights broke out every now and then, each side claiming the school supply was rightfully theirs, because they found it first.
Angel looked over at his wife horrified; yes he had seen some very gruesome and scary things in his time, but never this. Squeezing her hand for support the family made their way into the store, Angel asking himself how he was dragged into this again.
"Final Fantasy!" Cried a small boy, running towards the aisle where the games were located.
"Brently Nicholas Summers." Buffy called out to the blonde haired boy.
Slowly he stopped his mad dash to the video games, turning around he gave his mother an innocent smile. "Mom, Final Fantasy is out, can't we get it?"
"Yeah, mom that's the good one. With the gods and all." A boy slightly older piped up from besides his mother.
Buffy sighed; she looked over to Angel for support only to see him being dragged away to the Barbie section by their youngest.
"Brent, here now. We came for school supplies, and school supplies only." Buffy replied, "Now let's go see what Jesmaine and daddy are up to."
Sighing the two boys gave up and followed their mother and older sister over towards the Barbie section.
"Daddy, look." The small child cooed, holding what he guessed was the latest Barbie. "Isn't she pretty?" She gave him her biggest smile as she met her deep brown eyes to his.
"Princess, we came her for school supplies, remember in a few weeks you are going to be in kindergarten!" Angel said with great emphasis on the kindergarten part. "You're going to go to school with all the big kids. And you'll be with Rheann." Angel said, referring to Anya and Xander's only child who happened to be the same age as Jesmaine.
"Rheann!" The small girl squealed, clapping her hands together, forgetting about the Barbie. "I a big girl daddy, I go to school with Rheann." Jesmaine said proudly, puffing her shoulders for more height.
"Yuck, Barbie's." Brent exclaimed as the trio began to make their way to Angel and Jesmaine. Brent continued on making gagging noises as he stuck his finger in his mouth hunched over, emphasizing his point.
"Ew, grow up." Ashleen said; she was going into 9th grade, high school. High school, with Donovan, Willow and Oz's oldest child; he was so dreamy, auburn hair, nice build, and brown eyes. He was also going to be a sophomore; he was so cool, she though silently to herself, letting a small sigh grace her lips. Yet her she was shopping with her annoying family in Target.
"Ew, grow up." Brent mimicked in a baby voice, tossing his head to one side, as Ashleen had just done, then made puckered his lips and made kissing sounds. "Ashleen loves a boy. Ashleen loves a boy." He taunted.
"Stop that. Mom, make him stop." Ashleen whined pulling on her mothers arm.
"Stop that. Mom, make him stop." Brent copied, doing his best not to laugh.
"That's enough you two. Ashleen you and Corin go to the school section, Brent you stay with me, we will go get daddy and meet the two of you over there." Exasperated, Buffy rubbed her temple, trying to remember why she had waited last minute for school shopping, and why she had decided it a good idea to take the family.
"You okay?" A male voice asked from behind, wrapping his strong arms around her waist, he gave feather kisses to her neck.
"Much better," Buffy answered leaning into his embrace, "Where's Jesmaine?" She asked, looking around for the brunette.
Angel tilted his head to the side, indicating to Barbie aisle. "I made her put pretty Barbie back, she's saying goodbye."
"Can we go yet?" Brent asked bored. Tugging on the soccer jersey, he rolled his head around in circles. "When's my game?"
"We can go as soon as Jesmaine comes and your games at three sweets." Buffy said, with a smile. Even with all the aggravation and stress she had to put up, she wouldn't change a minute of it, besides Angel gave killer massages.
"Mommy, I go to kindergarten." Jesmaine said proudly as she made her way over to her older brother and parents.
"Yes you are, now what do you say we go get you some big girl supplies?" Buffy suggested. Taking Angel's hand in one hand and Jesmaine's in another.
~~~~~~~Part 2~~~~~~~
"What? It's cute don't you think." Angel asked innocently, holding up a bright backpack.
Ashleen looked on at the thing, disgust clearly written on her face. The two bright pink big panda's hugged each other as they sat in a shoe. Multiple florescent colors swirled about. "Dad, it's Lisa Frank." She replied, as if that was enough.
"It's name brand then?" Angel asked clueless.
"It's so passé. Dad I can't be caught dead with that, it's like for five years old or something." Ashleen replied, moving further away from the hideous thing, and over towards the ever dependable Five Star.
"Look dad!" Brent exclaimed, running through the aisle, waving a notebook through the air.
"What? Let me see." Angel exclaimed, bending down.
"Isn't this so cool!" the eight-year old replied. He handed the notebook over to his dad, millions of soccer players adorned it. "And it's got a folder to match!" He said, hazel eyes dancing with joy.
"Well why don't you get it?" Angel asked, rubbing his hands through his son's hair.
"Cool." Brently replied, running off just as fast as he came.
"Corin, what've you find?" Buffy asked, walking over to her middle child. He was like his father in every sense of the word. His deep brown eyes, his dark hair, and his face that always seemed deep in thought.
"Just the regular stuff: pens, paper, spirals, the usual." Corin replied off handily, his nose stuck in a strategy guide for some new video game.
"Are you done? Did you get everything you need? What about a binder, white out, hole puncher?" Buffy prodded, reaching over to take the magazine out of his hands.
"Yes, got it, it's with dad. Can I have back?" Corin pleaded holding out his hand. He had just found out a very helpful secret to the Zelda game in which he greatly needed in order to pass the one level.
"If you're done, then come on over. Brent's soccer game is in a few and we need to finish with Jesmaine's things." Buffy said, handing the guide back.
~~~~~~Part 3~~~~~~
"That will be 48 dollars and 25 cents." The cashier replied, looking appreciably over at Angel.
Giving the cashier a menacing stare, Buffy pulled closer towards Angel, snaking her arm around him.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his wallet handing the women his card.
After ringing everything up the lady put the supplies into bags, all except for the bright colored Lisa Frank backpack, which Jesmaine insisted on carrying, and the new Final Fantasy game Corin and Brent had wanted, saying that they needed to read the back of the game box, for clues and things of the sorts.
All in all everything was great.
Lame ending, I know. But I am really tired and wanted to get this sent out. So yea, feedback please...I want to know just how bad this was. *g*
