The greek goddess of love weaved her magic to one heartbroken pair, town through town, each year. This year she chose Sunnydale. Her mystical beauty flowed up above and searched for it's calling, she was floating towards the ground when two souls had shaken her, their pain eminating her way. She looked to the cause of the pain, at last she saw them, fighting a-top a hill that overlooked the town, the familiarity of it all swelled through her, she had witnessed these two before.

"I'm leaving. And I'm not coming back." Angel told her quietly as he looked to the ground.

"What? No, your not I wont let you." Buffy said still in shock as a hammer drilled away at her already severely beaten heart.

"You have no say in this, it's for the best, you need a normal life, with light, I can never give you that." Angel said quietly, as he too felt his heart die.

Who needs the light, with the darkness in your eyes

"I will never have a normal life, I'm going to die soon, let me spend my time with you." Buffy strangled out.

"I'm sorry." Angel added.

"Tell me you don't love me." Buffy cried.

"I don-" Angel was about to say..

The greek goddess of love had heard enough, she could see into their souls, they were madly in love with each other, but knew they could never be. The greek goddess waved her arms over them, sparkling dust slowly fell over them. No longer would he be a vampire, life would surge through him, as he drew a breath, no longer she be a slayer, the next one would take the battle from her hands, they would have their chance. One last thing to unify this gift, to set it off, a kiss..She made the instincts take over. A pleased smile crossed her face as she disappeared slowly fading out to nothing.....

They both stopped, staring at one another, Angel walked briskly up to her and pulled her violently to her, his mouth found hers, they met in a passionate kiss, she ran her finger through his hair as he did the same to her, they both pulled back and fell to the ground. They both gasped and looked to each other.

Then they both knew, knew what they were and what they were to be, they found eachother again and embraced, never letting go...

A voice could be heard in the distance..

"Love is forever." The voice faded..

You are my sanctuary.../
