"Let the healing power begin. Let my will be safe again. As these words of peace are spoken, let this harmful spell be broken." Willow chanted quickly.

A crash of thunder sounded, and the demons disappeared. And through it all, Buffy and Spike continued to kiss.

The gang looked down at Buffy and Spike, dumbfounded.

"I thought that would fix it!" Willow shouted anxiously.

"I so cannot handle this. Willow, do something! This is worse then seeing her with Deadbody," Xander commented.

"Let's take them back to Giles," Willow replied.

After a few minutes of pleading, Anya, Xander and Willow managed to get Spike and Buffy to go with them to Giles.

Moments later, they arrived.

"Whatever you did, thank you. I-I can see again." Giles said as they entered his house single file.

Willow nodded, but had a frown on her face. "Giles, when I broke the spell, it didn't work on Buffy and Spike."

"Oh dear. Well...w-we must do something to remedy the situation quickly. But what could we do? If you couldn't break the spell..."

The group silently looked at each other's confused faces.

Finally, one of them lit up, it was Willow's.

"Angel! He might be able to help!" Willow shouted triumphantly.

"Deadboy? Great..." Xander replied unenthusiastically.

The telephone rang loudly at Angel Investigations until Cordelia finally picked it up.

"Angel Investigations, we help the hopeless." she said with a dull tone as she filed her nails.

"I sure hope you can help us," a female voice said at the other end.

"Willow???"

"Yes, Cordy, it's me. We have a major problem here, and we need Angel's help."

"Well? What's the problem?" Cordelia was suddenly very interested in this. She wanted her boss to finally see the light and go back to Buffy. She was tired of his constant brooding and staring at Buffy's picture.

"I messed up a spell....and Spike and Buffy are en-engaged." Willow finally let it out.

"ENGAGED?!?!? You messed up big time Willow!"

"I know. Can-can you get him here? Please? I think he's her only hope..." Willow trailed off. She wanted Buffy to be happy with someone else, like that nice Riley guy. But she'd rather see Buffy with Angel then with Spike.

"Yeah okay, we'll be there. I can't wait to see this," Cordelia muttered.

After the call ended, Cordelia sauntered into Angel's office.

"Angel, you'll never believe who's getting married back in Sunnydale!" she said excitedly.

Angel nodded for her to continue as he kept drinking his nightly cup of blood.

"Buffy and Spike!!!"

If it was possible, Angel would have had a heart attack right then and there. Instead, he spewed blood all over the office as he choked

"SPIKE???!?!?" Angel threw his mug at the wall and watched it shatter.

"Jealous much?" Cordelia sighed. "Anyway, we're going to Sunnydale, now. Seems they think you're the only one who can save Buffy."

Angel nodded and looked down at his shirt. "I better go change."

**

About two hours and several cokes later, Angel and Cordelia arrived at Giles' house. Angel got out, then froze in place. He knew what would happen if he even looked at Buffy. He wouldn't be able to stop himself from taking her in his arms. Cordelia nudged him.

"Come on Angel. Let's go."

Angel nodded, then marched up to the door, with Cordelia right on his heels. He knocked on the door as hard as he could without breaking it.

Giles opened the door slightly. "Angel! Thank heavens! Please, please, come in."

Angel entered, and sized up the situation.

Buffy was sitting on Spike's lap, rambling on about invitations to their wedding.

Angel growled at the sight of his former love in the arms of another.

Cordelia took a seat next to Willow, already excited for what was going to happen.

"It's the poof! Bloody hell slayer, why did ya invite him?"

"I didn't do it! I know how much you hate him sweetie. I would never do anything to upset you," Buffy replied.

Angel felt the sudden desire to throw up, then beat the living daylights out of Spike.

Buffy turned her attention to Angel. "Would you like to come to the wedding Angel? Maybe you could be Spike's best man! You two do go back a waaaay long time ago!"

"Not bloody likely! I'd rather have that Xander fellow be my best man then that nancy boy over there!"

Angel couldn't stand this anymore. True, he did want his love to find someone else but Spike was not the solution. He couldn't take her in the sun, or give her kids. And those were the reasons Angel had left Buffy in the first place.

So Angel did the most sensible thing he could think of. He walked right towards Buffy, grabbed her arm, and kissed her hard. He wrapped his arms around her tightly, and continued to kiss. Everyone but Spike felt their jaws drop to the ground.

Several moments later, he broke off the kiss when he realized she needed oxygen, unlike him.

Buffy felt like she was flying. She collapsed at Angel's feet, and wrapped her arms around his legs. "Angel...Angel Angel....Angel...." she moaned over and over.

Spike just sat in his chair, grinning from ear to ear. The plan had worked.

Angel looked around hoping someone would tear Buffy away from him. If no one did, he'd have to kiss her again. Then he'd never be able to let go again. Buffy rose, and planted her lips firmly on his.

Moments later, she pulled away to speak. "Thanks Spike. The plan worked well," Buffy said as a smile grew on her face from ear to ear.

"Plan?? What plan??" Xander asked. He was still completely shocked by the kisses that had happened right in front of him.

"Slayer, why don't you fill them in?"

Buffy nodded. "Willow, when you broke the spell, it worked on Spike and me. But before you guys came over to us, I told Spike to keep pretending the spell was working, and that I had a plan. Thankfully he went along with it" she flashed a secret smile at Spike. "It was the best way to get Angel back here, where he belongs."

Angel had a dumbfounded look on his face. Buffy sure was clever. Without speaking words, he took her hand, and led her outside.

"Buffy...I don't know what to say."

"Then don't say anything Angel. Let me talk. I did this so you would see that neither of us can live without the other. Jealously just happened to be a useful ally. I want you to stay here, with me. I can't go on without you. You mean so much to me. I know you want me to have a normal life, but I don't want one! I like the life I had before you left. This is the life I want Angel. And I know you do too. Let me make this decision okay? Afterall, you gave up your humanity for me."

"What did you say?!"

"I said you gave up your humanity for me. The Oracles were wrong, well, they were right for awhile. I did forget, but then I remembered right after I got back to Sunnydale."

"Oh Buffy...I'm so sorry. I..." Angel whispered.

"Shh...Angel. Stop it. No more of this sadness and regret. We deserve to be together. Don't take this bit of happiness away from me...away from us." Buffy stared deeply into Angel's dark brown eyes. She was completely lost in his gaze.

"You're right Buffy. I-I want to be with you. Forever. I love you Buffy, more then anything. I won't leave you again, I promise this time."

Buffy smiled. "I love you too Angel."

Angel sealed his promise with a loving and deep kiss.
