I saw a shooting star my love,
and all I thought about was you,
the pain and agony, I went through
when I heard I lost you,
Those big greens eyes I surely do miss,
and the way your hand fit into mine,
all I could do when I saw that star,
was wishing you were still alive.
I thought I saw you on that night,
when and angel came into my view
and saw that golden hair again,
I knew it had to be you.
I go out night to find that star,
as all the nights that have gone by,
I sit and wonder why I wasn't there,
to watch you fade from this life.
