"Would you just relax?" Cordelia shouted. "You're making me *and* Wesley *AND* the babies nervous."
"What happened to their names?" Wesley asked, looking up.
"I decided I don't like Loralei and Coren, so I'm searching again." Cordy made a face at her reflection. "It's a good thing we're having a boy and a girl, 'cause this is the *last* time I'm getting pregnant. I'm big as a house."
"You," Wesley came up and stood behind her, touching her shoulder, "Look beautiful."
"I do not. I'm a lilac whale."
Wesley continued to comfort his wife as Angel paced, reading his lyric sheet over and over.
"You learned the song by heart, mate," Spike said in between drinks from his flask. "You'll do fine."
"But what if I don't?"
Spike took another drink and sighed. "You will."

"What if I trip?" Buffy asked. "These are really high heels."
Willow smoothed out a wrinkle in the skirt of Buffy's gown. "You won't trip."
"But what if I do?"
"You won't."
"But what if I--"
"You. Won't. God." Anya put another piece of gum in her mouth and chewed on it harshly. "I cannot stop chewing. Which is messing up my not-smoking thing. It's like one bad habit after another."
"Oh I'm gonna be sick," Buffy mumbled.
"No." Faith stood in front of her. "You're not. Look me in the eye."
"Do I have to?" Buffy asked sarcastically.
"B," she said in a warning tone.
The Slayers met eyes and Faith smile. "You love Angel, and after you marry him, you can screw all you want to. Do you *know* how lucky you are?"
"Thank you Faith, for bringing the romance back into marriage," Joyce said dryly.
"Anytime."
"Why do I have to wear a dress with straps?" Dawn whined. "Faith and Anya don't have to wear dresses with straps."
"Faith and Anya aren't sixteen," Joyce said automatically.
"Willow and Cordelia and Tara are all wearing straps," Buffy pointed out.
"Yeah, but Tara and Willow are wearing straps 'cause they don't like to be sexy and Cordelia's wearing straps because she's pregnant. I'm wearing them because--"
Faith walked over and cut the straps off of Dawn's gown.
"Faith!" Buffy and Joyce shouted in unison.
"Let her have some fun," Faith smiled. "She's only young once."
"Thanks," Dawn hugged her. "You're the coolest big sister ever."
"Hey!" Buffy feigned hurt.
"You're too much like Mom," Dawn told her.
"Buffy, everyone's waiting," Willow said as she entered the room. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks."
"Can we go?" Anya asked. "I'm starving."
"All right," Buffy stepped down and sighed. "Let's do this before I vomit."
"Lovely way to start a wedding," Giles remarked as he offered Buffy his arm.

"And now, it gives me great pleasure to announce to you, for the very first time, Mr. And Mrs. Angel Matthews!"
The happy couple entered the small hall they'd rented full of friends and family and demons, Buffy beaming excitedly. Angel, on the other hand, looked a little green.
"Ready for our first dance?" Buffy asked.
"No," Angel said slowly.
"No?" she instantly looked hurt.
"No, because you have to sit here," he pointed to the chair Willow and Dawn brought over.
"Why?"
"Just sit."
Buffy sat, in the center of the dance floor, watching Angel and waiting.
"Uh, hi everyone," Angel said as he took the microphone. "Those of you who know me from work prolly have an idea of what's about to happen here. As for the rest of you.....I should've put ear plugs at each place setting with the candles and matchboxes."
A few people laughed. Some looked worried. Buffy just beamed.
Angel got down on bended knee before her and began to sing.
//It's hard for me to say the things
I want to say sometimes
There's no one here but you and me
And that broken old street light
Lock the doors
We'll leave the world outside
All I've got to give to you
Are these five words when I
Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for loving me
I never knew I had a dream
Until that dream was you
When I look into your eyes
The sky's a different blue
Cross my heart I wear no disguise
If I tried, you'd make believe
That you believed my lies
Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me
You pick me up when I fall down
You ring the bell before they count me out
If I was drowning you would part the sea
And risk your own life to rescue me
Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me\\
Tears coated Buffy's cheeks when Angel finished. She leaned down and kissed him until neither could breathe any longer, so then they held each other.
"I love you," Buffy whispered. "I love you so much."
"I love you, too. I always have. I always will."

"And *that's* why your father and I have those lyrics framed in the living room," Buffy finished.
"Could Daddy sing back then?" Melody asked.
"No, baby, not really," Buffy smiled.
"Then why did he try?" Joey asked
"It wasn't about talent," Buffy pointed out. "It was about the emotions in what he was doing."
"Well, if a guy has to sing to me for me to get married, I'll be single forever." Melody announced.
"You say that now," Joey said. "But when you get older, you'll feel differently ."
"Our children scare me," Angel smirked.
"Not me," Buffy leaned over the couch to kiss him. "I think they're perfect."
"That's 'cause we *are*!" Melody shouted.
"Except for when they're loud," Angel remarked, rubbing his ears.
"Daddy, would you sing the song you sung to Mommy?" Melody asked.
"I don't think I--"
"Do it," Buffy said, laying across his chest. "It *is* our ninth anniversary today, it'll be like a commemoration."
Angel took a deep breath and began to sing. A few lines into the song, Joey nudged his sister and whispered, "I think Mommy must've laid down so she could plug her ears."
"I heard that," Angel said in between lyrics.
"You sing beautifully," Buffy mumbled, closing her eyes. A moment later, she was asleep, a blissful smile on her face. She had everything she'd ever wanted, and she couldn't be happier
