"The ceremony was beautiful," Buffy said when she and Cordelia were alone in the dressing room at the hotel. She was helping her tie up the train of her gown and Cordelia was staring at herself in the mirror, still in awe.

"I'm in a wedding dress," Cordelia said. "I'm married."

"Congratulations," Buffy said half-seriously.

"Angel looks good," Cordy said as she stepped off the stool and walked over to her makeup bag. "You know that you two have to dance together."

"So I've been told," she busied herself with changing her nylons. She'd gotten a run in the first pair when one of the caterers ran into her with their cart.

"It's tradition, Buffy."

"I know."

"Buffy?" Cordelia asked quietly.

"Yes?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"I'm your Maid of Honour, Cordelia. I'll do whatever you ask me."

The brunette walked over to her friend and smiled at her. "Open your heart up again," she told her. "It's been four years, and you have to move on."

Buffy nodded to appease her, but she had no intention of ever loving anyone ever again.

"Kareoke?" Buffy asked when she realized what the DJ was setting up. "They do Kareoke at weddings now?"

"It's very popular down here," Wesley said, shrugging. "I'm not sure I understand the phenomenon myself, but I suppose, when in Rome..."

"I am *not* getting up there." Buffy said, folding her arms.

"You have to," Harmony said. "It's like, required or something."

"She's right," Giles added. "Cordelia went over this at the rehearsal dinner. If you'd been there--"

"I've heard enough about missing the rehearsal dinner." Buffy said flatly. "Some of us had a slime demon to vanquish."

"Okay!" the DJ said brightly. "Let's get this party started!! I'd like to announce to all of you, the bride and groom, Cordelia and Wesley Wyndam-Pryce!"

Cordy gathered up her skirt and stepped up onto the stage. He didn't look happy about it, but Wesley followed. They sang a very bad version of Tha nk God I Found You and then Cordy pushed Buffy and Angel up there.

"I can't sing," Angel complained.

"The words are right there on the screen," Cordy said. "Do this for me, all right?"

They nodded but wouldn't look at each other. Even when Angel had escorted Buffy down the aisle, she'd never dared look at him. If she met his eyes, it would all be over, and she couldn't let herself go through all the hurt and pain of a relationship again.

She'd been dreaming of him since the day she kicked Riley out. She felt it was only right to send Fish Boy to the Gay Pride Parade where he belonged, but she still felt empty without someone in her life, and the realization that she never attracted the right man made her feel even worse.

"Buffy," Angel forced her to look at him. "It's not that bad."

"Easy for you to say," she muttered as the song started. It was an unfamiliar tune, and as soon as the words appeared on the screen, she wanted to kill Cordelia. She glanced at the bride, but she was already on the floor, dancing and waving at her friend. One of these days, Buffy would get her back good for this.

"Do I sing first?" Angel asked her.

"You sing blue, I sing pink," she said quietly. She wondered if he'd really looked at the lyrics yet, or if he got what they meant.

You're riding in my car
I turn on the radio
I'm holding you closer
But you keep telling me no
You say you don't like that
But I know that your a liar
'Cause when we kiss oooh fire\\

Angel glanced at Buffy, but she willed herself not to look at him. Instead, she turned away and stared at the screen for her part.

Late at night
You're taking me home
You say you want to stay
But I want you to go
I say I don't love you
But you know I'm a liar
'Cause when we kiss oooh fire\\

Angel almost smiled when he heard Buffy sing those words. Her cheeks were burning and he could tell she was pissed off. Good, he thought. Maybe now she'll come to her senses.

He'd decided a long time ago that he and Buffy were meant to be together, curse or no curse, but he couldn't bring himself to admit it to anyone. He knew that when the time was right, she would return to him, but now, seeing her again, all he wanted to do was grab her and--

"It's your turn," she muttered, smacking his arm a bit harder than Angel thought she should've. He smirked, figuring she was trying to punish him for leaving her years ago. He knew he deserved it, but still.

You've had a hold on me right from the start
A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart
My nerves are jumping acting like a fool
Your kisses might burn but my heart stays cool\\

Buffy glared at him and continued.

Well Romeo and Juliet
Samson and Delilah
Baby you can bet
They were burning with desire

If I say split
Then you know that I be lying
'Cause when we kiss oooh fire\\

Angel looked into her eyes and knew he had her. He'd be lucky if they could make it upstairs to a room before ripping her dress off.

"When we kiss," Angel sang. "I'm on fire."

"Your tenderness gives me desire," Buffy added.

"I can't resist our tender lips," they finished together. "When we kiss oooh fire."

He kissed her then, and everyone clapped. Buffy blushed and Angel picked her up, carrying her out to his car. She kissed him all throughout the drive back to his apartment and they narrowly missed several accidents before finally arriving at his place. He carried her inside and to bed, where they stayed for two glorious days until their own wedding, held at the pier where they first kissed when Angel became human back in November. Buffy remembered everything, including their unborn daughter, already named Cassidy Nicole.
