Hello. Can you hear me?
Am I gettin' through to you?

Hello
Is it late there?
There's a laughter on the line
Are you sure you're there alone?

Cause I'm
Tryin' to explain
Somethin's wrong
Ya just don't sound the same
Why don't you
Why don't you
Go outside
Go outside

Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone too long
If your lips
Feel lonely and thirsty
Kiss the rain
And wait for the dawn
Keep in mind
We're under the same sky
And the night's
As empty for me as for you
If ya feel
You can't wait till morinin'
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain

Hello
Do you miss me?
I hear you say you do
But not the way I'm missin' you

What's new?
How's the weather?
Is it stormy where you are?
Cause you sound so close
But it feels like you're so far
Oh would it mean anything
If you knew
What I'm left imagining
In my mind
In my mind
Would you go
Would you go

Kiss the rain
And you'd fall over me
Think of me
Think of me
Think of me
Only me

Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone too long
If your lips
Feel hungry and tempted
Kiss the rain
and wait for the dawn
Keep in mind
We're under the same skies
And the night's
As empty for me as for you
If you feel
You can't wait till morning
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Oooooohhhhh
Kiss the rain
Oooooohhhhh
Kiss the rain
Hello
Can ya hear me?\\

"Uck."

Angel smiled at his twins. "Eric, Eliza, you guys are crazy. The rain is--"

"Ucky," they said in unison.

Buffy came out of the kitchen laughing and drying her hands on a towel. "Give it up, Angel. They're six year old and they've got their father home on a Saturday afternoon. They wanna play outside."

"Yeah!" Eric reaffirmed his mother's words.

"We always play inside," Eliza reminded them.

Angel sighed. It was a rare day that he *could* play outside and the kids wanted to pass on it 'cause of a little rain.

"What if," he began, trying to make it exciting. "We put our boots on and--"

"Noooo!" little voices vetoed his suggestion.

"I have an idea," Buffy said. "We haven't had a picnic lunch in ages. Let's do that."

"It's *raining*," Eliza said.

Buffy smiled. "Who said we going to have the picnic outside? Why don't you guys go downstairs and pick out a blanket and get me the picnic dishes."

"Okay!" they disappeared and Buffy smiled at Angel. "See how easy that was?"

"I saw you convince our twins to waste a perfectly good rainy--"

"And muddy," Buffy put in.

"Saturday afternoon in our home instead of outside exploring."

"Angel, I love you." Buffy kissed his cheek. "But let it go!"

"But, just look at this," he pulled her to the large picture window and smiled. "See the steam? The way the rain seems to almost make music? I could get lost out there."

"Could you now?" Buffy asked, smirking.

"Yes! I could get forever caught up in the magic and romance of it all. The smell, the feel, you know?"

"I know you're crazy," she smirked again.

Angel rolled his eyes. "You just don't get it."

Buffy went back into the kitchen to finish lunch and ten minutes later when she had everything together and the kids had brought everything back up, Angel was *still* at the window.

"Daddy, what are you doing?" Eliza asked.

"Shhh, don't disturb Daddy," Buffy tried to keep serious but giggled. "He's watching the rain."

"Ha ha ha." Angel left the rain behind and scooped up his unexpecting children into his arms. They squealed happily begging to be let down when they wanted the very opposite.

"Come on guys, settle down." Buffy said. "The food's ready."

Buffy led them onto the porch and Angel grinned. The kids had put down a green blanket with a plaid one on top to create a grassy look. Then they'd moved the living room lamps in there to use as the sun and of course, the basket was there, full of fried chicken, cole slaw, garlic bread, salad and brownies for dessert.

"Let's eat!" Eric said enthusiastically.

They ate, then they played Hide & Seek and tag, both interestingly fun with only four people. Willow picked the kids up to take them roller skating with her daughter Winter and Buffy cleaned up from their picnic. If you figured that Angel spent that time watching the rain, you're right.

Around eight p.m., Buffy tapped on his shoulder. "Hungry?" she asked. "We've got picnic leftovers."

He looked at her. "Will you do something with me?"

"Will I have to be naked?" her eyes glowed with anticipation.

"That's debatable," he told her.

She checked her watch. "I guess I'm free, the kids won't be back 'till ten."

He took her hand and led her outside.

"Take a deep breath," he instructed.

They were getting soaked on the front porch and breathing was his big worry?

Still, Buffy did it and afterwards, she felt...calm.

"Isn't it magical?" he asked. "Doesn't it make you--"

"Horny." she grabbed him and kissed him passionately. "Is the playhouse locked?"

"That's gross," he mumbled as she kissed his neck.

"Is it?" she pressed.

"The deck's unlocked." he offered.

She grabbed his hand this time and practically drug him back there. She threw the door to the deck back and pulled Angel down onto the wooden slats with her. She kissed him and pulled at his clothes, anxious to have him *now*.

He didn't hesitate in giving her what she wanted.

"Hi, guys." Buffy said when the kids came home nearly two hours later holding prizes won at the rink and bags of cotton candy. "Did you have fun?"

"Yes!" they both answered.

"I'm faster than both Eliza and Winter!" Eric said proudly.

"And I did a jump!" Eliza was beaming.

"That's great." Buffy said. "Next week I'll take you kids so I can watch."

"Can Daddy come?" Eric asked.

"Oh yeah," Buffy smoothed her wet hair behind her ears and grinned devilishly at her husband. "Daddy can come."
