DISCLAIMER: I don't own these characters, Joss Whedon does. If he ever decides to give them to me, that would be nice. =)
AUTHOR'S NOTES: I love parts of The Prom, but I also hate it, especially Angel's dream sequence. I didn't think the end of the scene meshed with the rest of it. And this eppy has strangeness all around. Angel has no clock? He dreams of marrying her without her friends and family present? And the sun didn't burn him, but it burned Buffy? Weirdness squared. Why wouldn't it burn Joyce? That wouldn't be a loss. Joss is cruel.

It's the perfect wedding. Angel in a tux, waiting proudly at the alter for his bride and looking hotter than ever. Buffy is gorgeous in her Vera Wang gown as she walks down the aisle on Giles' arm. The biggest church in all of Sunnydale seems small and secluded, as though the few people inside its walls were the only people in the world.

Giles takes his stand as Angel's Best Man and Buffy hands her bouquet over to her Maid of Honor, Willow so that she can hold hands with her almost-husband.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today....." Buffy and Angel both unintentionally tune out Father Michael and get caught up in each other.

Their eyes are staring into each other's souls, their hearts beating as one. She can feel the electricity of her love warming his skin and she smiles at him.

If he truly thought it was possible, he would think her heart was penetrating into his. As they repeated their vows, they met as one.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Buffy gave Angel the biggest smile as he lifted up her veil and kissed his wife. Everything was perfect and then--

"Um, Buffy!" Willow said in a panicked voice. "Earthquake! Now!"

She and Angel kept on kissing. Xander grabbed Willow and Cordelia and drug them to a doorway. Oz and the priest hid under the alter and Giles ducked under a pew. Joyce, ever the stubborn one, refused to seek shelter. She watched as her only daughter made out with her new husband and didn't even notice when a rafter from the ceiling fell on her head, killing her instantly.

Angel shook awake and tried to steady his non-breathing, thinking for a moment about what the dream might mean. He smiled and ran out to grab a ring for Buffy so he could propose and marry her instantly. After all, their dreams were prophetic, right?

The End
