"Angel, what have you gotten into this time?" Buffy asked skeptically looking at the group of people in front of her in the sewer. They all looked tired, and hungry, and one of them looked a bit green-. Flicking her hair back, she squinted at Wesley before breaking out into a smile.
"It's good to see you Wesley," she smiled giving him a hug, and shaking hands with Fred, Gunn and Lorne. "Hi, I'm Buffy, and I'll be saving you today. I'm the 'other' slayer and I use the term loosely because I could so kick Faith's ass,"
"Oh, it's nothing Buffy, Evil Goddess who has control over all of L.A. Just normal apocalypse stuff- you?" Angel said casually hugging her for a second and letting him smile for a second.
"The First Evil's back in time, has an invincible lackey and the Harbingers took some major steroids- it's also into killing the Potential Slayers and their Watchers, " she smiled at him before giving a high kick to someone behind him.
"It's good to see you Buffy, we do seem to meet in dire consequences I'm afraid, I'm sure Willow told you about Fred and Gunn,"
" 'Love Triangle worse than the 'Buffy and Angel Show' direct quote. The Gang says Hi, and Xander made me bring a tape recorder so he could hear your girly scream."
"Wesley? Girly scream?" Fred asked skeptically.
"Faith didn't tell you? Wes here wasn't exactly the cream of the crop back in Sunnydale, tweed suit and glasses? I'll save the stories for another day, let's get out of this hole okay? DAWN! Lower the rope!"
"You brought Dawn to LA?" Angel said ridiculously looking up the hole and seeing thebrunette smile and wave. Seeing his friends' confused looks, he started to explain what exactly Dawn was to Fred and Gunn.

Sunnydale:
"Let me get this straight, we're making out in a cemetery why?" Faith asked leaning against Spike and smiling. He simply smiled at her and put his arm behind her shoulders.
"Because I don't think the church likes us very much,"
*
LA:
"And Dad doesn't send Child Support, why?" Dawn asked looking around the condominium. The AI team gladly slumped down on the couch and felt relieved just to be able to sit.
"If Xander has to fix the Coffee Table one more time, I'll come and take Dad's okay?" Buffy smiled slumping down in the large white chair. "Willow's got a spell on this place, so we should be safe. We'll still take watch, every four hours, full perimeter sweep. Dawn you're with Wes, Fred your with me, and Gunn your with Angel,"
"All Slayer's got the doe-eyed leader thing or is it just you two?" Gunn joked making the group smile for once. Dawn said her goodnight and went to take a nap before her shift, and was suddenly stopped by a large beam of light. Whipping against the wall, Dawn winced before a light exploded from her diminishing the other light.
"Jasmine. Buffy she was trying to- but she couldn't- Glory blocked her out. Or something,but- I think I can fight this," Dawn said smiling brightly.
*
"She did a spell you know," Dawn said quietly sipping her hot chocolate, "Buffy, so she wouldn't break down in front of Angel with the whole Cordelia thing. When Faith said that she had to face her demon, she freaked, so she's acting all over him and everything, but when it comes to Angel everything cuts deep,"
"You've grown up Dawn," Wes sighed sipping his own hot cocoa.
"And you've moved on to a mousy brunette who's in love with a certain African American friend of yours. She loves both of you,"
"I think I've known that all along," he said wistfully, "Wait who told you that Fred and I?" he said getting defensive and prepared to attack. Dawn ran a hand through her hair and sighed.
"Jasmine's attacks have been giving me some information. Anyone who looks at the three of you knows there's something going on- come on I've been silent observer girl in my memories for years,"
*
"You're a lot different from what I expected," Fred said honestly walking down the hall with the blonde slayer. Buffy looked at her for a moment and nodded for her to continue. "I mean Faith is- well she's not exactly one of my favorite people, she's a bit too extreme I guess is what I'm trying to say,"
"Prison changes people- Faith's always been in Prison, her own personal one anyway. She had it tough you know, she had to test people, and they always failed. Her whole attitude is a façade for who she really is and none of us know who that person really is. Look, only two people have never given up on her, and both of them have been evil- no one can understand Faith without knowing the darkness,"
"Don't we all have a façade that we hide behind? Faith's just better at hiding hers and we envy her for that. The brutally honest, that she knows who she is and she's okay with herself now- I kinda wish I could be more like that,"
"Wes and Gunn again?" Buffy joked, and the brunette nodded, "Here's my ten cents in this situation; they're both alike, they like the same things, they're both crazy about you. That's the easy part. But you need to ask yourself, at this second in time, not five years from know, which one would you die for? Not the sappy fall off a cliff version, the I would go to hell and back- jump into a portal of energy for, don't base it on what you should do, base it on what you need to do. I've done a lot of things I've regretted doing- don't let that happen to you."
"You mean with Angel? You may want to start listening to your heart and not your head,"
"If I listened to my heart, the world would have ended by now,"
*
"Jasmine! JASMINE!!" Dawn screamed running into the Hyperion. Checking her surroundings she felt sorry for all of the people under her twisted spell, and for the hottie that was Angel's' son. "I feel so unworthy to be here! But my sister, she's the vampire slayer and she's refusing your love! Your wonderful love! She's harboring the infected ones! I know you love me, so I hoped that you'd take care of me," Dawn said applying the extra emotion.
"Faith has a sister?" Connor asked questionably
"No, little one, there are two vampire Slayers, thank you Dawn. Her sister rejected my love, because of her love for someone other than me. She loves the infected One, Angel. Yes your father was once loved by a woman Connor." Jasmine said in her eerie voice and Connor felt the love overwhelm him again.
"Dawn would you please help Connor. He hasn't had a woman yet, and I think you would be perfect virgin for virgin," she said joining their hands and they both raced off excitedly.
*
"You what!?"
"Wesley!"
"You sent my sixteen year old sister off as a gift to Jasmine Queen Bitch of the world? You figure that once she's in, if Connor were inside of her he'd convert with the magically dosed blood in her system? You sent my sister to go in a fuck his son. What kind of logic is that?" Buffy demanded about to hit Wesley before began held back by Angel.
He growled slightly, not able to form words and sat her down on the couch, his arms around her, and she sitting in his lap. "It was Dawn's idea Buffy, she left right before your shift was over," he said trying to reassure her. Wesley had told him of the spell she had cast, but her overload of emotions was finally hitting her.
"This is all your fault you know? If you could have kept your dick in your pants while Uber Bitch was around, then hellspawn boy wouldn't have been spawned so we wouldn't have this problem!"
Lorne glanced at the others and gestured that they should leave, and they all walked out of the den.
"Oh yes Buffy this is all my fault. I'm just so damn horrible. God forbid that Angel screws up a few more times after being evil. Screw making amends, screw turning human, he should have a lifetime of suffering and being alone. No siree! Angel can pretend that he's a man but at the end of the day he's not, because he has nothing a man has! He can't have children, a girlfriend, let alone friends and people he can call a family, because that's right- his Seed is dead, the love of his unlife is back in Sunnydale with a blonde freak named Riley FINN, he's a vampire so he can't do anything remotely normal, and the people he considered a family are too scared that he's crazy for seeing the only other woman who actually gave a damn about him," Angel ranted walking closer to Buffy and cornering her between him and the desk.
"And he's not allowed one moment of weakness, and of self-pity where the rest of the world doesn't matter, and he can rest for a moment. And he can pretend like he's a man, and he's loved, and his heart is in a warm bed, with a warm body, and that it wasn't some delusional dream. At least Darla cared that little," he said softly. "But if the other half of his soul know all the pain and confusion he went through, he'd know that Darla didn't matter and all he wanted was to be forgiven and," Angel gave up talking and kissed Buffy passionately, the way he used to, when things were freer and his biggest worry was if she accepted him or not. When Witty Banter with Xander was to be expected, and Cordelia was someone, he despised. When Willow had been his only ally and he hadn't lost the trust of Rupert Giles- a simpler time.
And she kissed him in return of a simpler time, when she didn't have Potential Slayers, serious boyfriends, or even a sister. When her mother was alive and Willow hadn't been evil or Xander so depressing. When Spike was evil. A simpler time.
They never saw the mist coming.
