AUTHOR'S NOTE: Okay for some reason after watching the new Angel episode, I felt like I had to write this. It's really small but pure fluff, but i needed something to fuel my denial so...

She loved the way the warm water felt on her hands after being out in the cold for so long. It seemed like she was out there forever, but in reality it was only for an hour. She loved the way the heat felt like it was burning your skin after it felt like she had frostbite. But most of all she loved the way the hot cocoa smelled right after you stick a mint candy cane in it.

She took the mugs to the table, almost slipping on a wet puddle next to the back door. She gracefully stopped herself from falling without slipping a drop. After placing the mugs on the butcher block tabletop she grabbed the hand towel from the counter and cleaned the puddle.

Buffy opened the back door, shivering a bit from the chilled breeze. She grinned as her husband tackled their eldest son into the soft snow. She could hear the giggles from their girls from inside the house.

"Do you need help?" Connor asked as he entered the home.

"Oh, thank you, could you grab the candy canes from that jar?" she pointed to the jar in the dining room.

"Sure, be right back," he left quickly coming back with a handful of mint candies.

When Connor came back he noticed Buffy staring outside.

"Why does he love the snow so much?" he asked.

"Because it reminds him of his childhood in Ireland," she stated simply.

"Oh," Connor said quietly. Listen, I'm going to go upstairs, I'll be back down later, okay?"

"Connor," Buffy grabbed his forearm, "please stay, it'd mean a lot."

"To you, or him? Or them?"

"To All."

Connor smiled at her, sinking into a chair, "Hand me that towel, you left a puddle."

His grin widened when she threw the towel upon his head.

Angel ducked as his daughter threw a snowball at him. His breathe made big puffs of air in between snowflakes. He grinned as his son began to form a snowball, intending to hit his attacker. The girl didn't even see it coming. Angel quickly made his way to her, trying to comfort her as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

After clearing the snow away from her eyes with one gloved hand he pulled the penguin fleece hat further down her head to kept warm. As soon as he saw the mitten with the snowball he began moving out of the way, but was too late. He received a snowball right in the side. He pretended to be hurt, but couldn't help the laughter as he head her giggling.

After a few more minutes of play he gathered all the children up and led them into the house. He opened the door to find Buffy and Connor sitting at the kitchen table talking over hot cocoa. He sighed. It was rare to find a moment when Connor didn't seem troubled. The sight warmed his beating heart. He could almost see the alarm in Buffy's eyes when she saw the dripping children in their snowsuits on the Pergo floors.

"Hey, no water on my floors! All of you, downstairs. Take off the snowsuits, and hang them on the line! William, help your sisters, please," she walked over as she gave out orders.

"And you," she pointed a finger in Angel's direction, "Make sure I don't get a huge heap of wet clothes on my basement floors."

"Yes ma'am," he saluted and followed his children downstairs.

After each child had removed their wet clothes (meaning all but two were naked namely Angel and William) they marched up the stairs to the kitchen.

Connor turned to the giggling girls as they opened the basement door. It was usual in this house for them to remove their clothes, he wasn't sure how this got started, but somehow it happened. Buffy shrugged it off saying they were just kids. He laughed as Angel and William walked up the stairs just wearing pants.

Connor stood up from his seat and walked over to the two little girls. He was happy to have little sisters, they were positively adorable. Each a perfect blend of their parents. He put Bridget on one hip and Carolyn on the other. He turned to see Buffy's grateful gaze and then to see her lusty one as Angel walked over to her. He turned and walked to the stairs, intent on dressing his two half sisters.

William sighed at the sight of his mother and father, and dragged himself upstairs, hoping to change into comfy clothes.

"How is our life so perfect?" Buffy asked as she caught a drop of wet snow from falling onto the hardwood floors.

"I don't know," Angel replied.

"Here," she handed him her hot cocoa mug, walked into the kitchen to prepare four more.

She turned back with the other mugs and her breathe caught in her throat as it tended to do sometimes, he was perfect in her mind. The way the cold and activity turned his cheeks and nose red, made his breathing a bit harder. She loved it. Angel in turn could not help but stare at his goddess.

Both turned their heads to hear sounds of giggles from the stairs, they could make out each child's from even miles away. Even Connor was laughing. They shared a smile and sat back at the table.

Buffy woke up. She smiled, of all her dreams lately that was possibly the best. She sat up, scratching her head. Then after a quick glance to the clock she laid back down. He mind still streaming with the dream she grinned even further, her mind could only wrap around the fact that one day that's what their life would be like.

At the same time in L.A. Angel also awoke. He smiled, he knew he and Buffy had shared the dream. Whenever it had to do with their future life, they always shared it. He burrowed himself further into the pillows. They weren't together now, but someday, after all the obstacles had been conquered, they would be. And it would be they happiest day in his life.

The End
