"Hey," Buffy came in.

"Hi, how was your day?" Angel asked her.

"Fine, cept Riley keeps on annoying me. I say that you and me go and make out in the middle of campus for Riley to see that I'm a little taken," Buffy suggested.

"Well," Angel started, not wanting to dismiss her plan as soon as possible, "not only would Riley see us, but so would every other college student."

Buffy pouted, "Spoil my fun."

"Sorry," he walked over to her and slipped his arm around her waist. He kissed her neck while she flipped through the mail.

"That's okay," she said as she revealed more of her neck for him.

"Well, what should we do? It's only Tuesday, we could go out? Movies?" Angel suggested, taking out a can of Pepsi out of the fridge.

"Okay, I guess, what's playing?" Buffy asked as she grabbed the can out of his hand and took a swig.

"We'll find something when we get there," he said as he took the can back.

"Okay, well, I'm going to go shower."

"Need, company? For those hard to reach spots?" Angel asked her, grinning.

"Well, I do want to be clean, and well, those sopts *are* hard to get, so sure," she laughed as she walked into the bathroom of her and Angel's apartment.

About twenty minutes later the two walked out of the bathroom, their hair dripping wet and giggling. Buffy put on a tank top and shorts and angel put on a tee-shirt and khakis, his now usual outfits. They walked to the Sunnydale Cinema.

In the theater there were about twenty people total. Not exactly overpopulated. Angel and Buffy chose a spot in the back, knowing that some kissing might happen, so they shouldn't disturb the rest of the audience. The movie choice was Here On Earth. There were a lot of teenage girls making up those twenty people.

Buffy had convinced Angel to go with the girlie movie, he had relunctly agreed. She and Angel were making out about half way into the movie. They stopped when a loud giggle was heard from behind them. The girls seemed about fourteen, which was a little immature for their age, Angel thought. Buffy and Angel watched the movie after that.

Just before the movie was over, Buffy looked around her. Almost every person in the theater was crying, except her and Angel. She looked up at him, noticing that he was also looking around them. They started laughing at this and the now crying girls behind them shhh-ed them inbetween sobs.

When the movie let out, Buffy and Angel were still laughing. The looked around at all the red puffy eyes that were coming out of the theater. But Buffy saw one puffy eyed person that caught her eye. Riley.

She poked Angel pointing to Riley, "Angel, look!"

Angel turned his head and saw the boy who was trying to steal his girlfriend. Riley was still crying. He saw Buffy and walked over to her.

"Wasn't that the saddest thing you ever saw?!" he bawled.

"Um, well, it's not the *saddest* thing I ever saw, but it came a little close," Angel snickered.

"What?" Riley asked lifting his head up a little, not understanding, being the braintrust he is.

"Nothing," Buffy said giving Angel a glance that said 'stop it'. He got the message and sobered up.

"Well, Riley, we'd love to stay and chat, but Angel and I want to go back to *our* house," Buffy emphisized the word 'our' hoping that the pathetic excuse for a person in front of her would get the hint, she did not want to be seen with him for more that five seconds.

"Oh, I would love to go back to your house with you, can we play cards?" Riley asked, chosing to hear only what he wanted.

"Um, actually, you know what, it's kinda late, and tomorrow is a school day, so I think *I* am just going to head home," Buffy said.

"Oh, well, I can walk you home, you too," he added for Angel, acting like the big strong man he is. (he he he, Riley strong, HA!)

"Well, I think Angel can handle it," Buffy said, running out of excuses to get rid of this fish/pony in front of her. (Okay, Kasiya's note: My friends and I have noticed that Riley looks like a pony as well as a fish. So there is the orgin of fish/pony. Don't spend too much time looking at him trying to find the similarities, though. Not good for the soul.)

"Oh, well, that's okay!" he said as he grabbed Buffy and Angel's hand and skipping down main street.

"Fine," Buffy grumbled, mouthing an 'I'm sorry' to Angel.

"Yeah!" Riley said and he walked her home.

The whole walk/skip home Riley was singing the song 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me' by the Jayhawks. He kept on looking at Buffy when he sang the chorus. Angel didn't like this boy for more than enough reasons, but this thing was trying to lure Buffy to him with that song and his "great" voice.

When the three of them reached the apartments, Riley stood at the door, his eyes closed and lips puckered. Buffy looked at him strangly. What does he want, she thought.

Riley opened his eyes and said, "Don't I get a good night kiss?"

"Uh, no, sorry Riley," she told him, he looked disappointed, but mustered his non-exsistent dignity and said, "Okay."

Buffy had not even opened the door before Riley turned to Angel, "I guess I'll walk you home too. Where do you live?"

"Um, I live here," Angel told the stupid boy.

"Oh, Wow, you live in the same building as Buffy, do you want to sell me your place?" Riley asked excited.

"Uhhhh, no. Riley, Buffy and I live in the same apartment."

"Oh, like roomates?" Riley asked. They thought that they love each other never entered his head.

"Sure, Riley sure."

Riley walked away from the apartments thinking that Angel was the luckiest person in the whole wide world. He got to share an apartment with Buffy.

When he left he heard Buffy shriek. He turned quickly around to see what was wrong, and saw Angel tickiling Buffy. She was trying to get her key in the door, but Angel kept stoping her with tickles.

Wow, that's got be distracting, I bet she hates it when he does that, he said, his vision still focused on the two people. He saw them get in the building and walk up the stairs. Riley could see them kissing in the upstairs window. But he just told himself that Angel was probably practing his mouth to mouth, nothing to worry about.

And he hummed 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me' once more. Knowing that one day Buffy Summers would become Buffy Finn. Or maybe, because she was strong willed, she would want Buffy Summers-Finn. Which was fine with him. (Okay another note: Buffy Finn?!?! Ewwwwwwww! Even Buffy Summers-Finn sound disgusting!)

Meanwhile, Angel and Buffy sat on the couch, Angel reading Buffy some of his favorite poems.

"I love you," she said to him.

"I love you too," he said and kissed her forehead.

And for the rest of the night the lovers read and slept, dreaming of each other, and what the future held for them. All thoughts of Riley left their heads. Well except for that one part of the night when they laughed their heads off, mocking him and thinking up names to call him. Hey, they deserved some fun too!

The End
