"Well, that was nice of her," Angel said taking a seat on his couch.

"Finally," Buffy grumbled.

He gave her a look, "Don't give me a look!"

She took a seat next to him, and put her feet up on the table.

"At least we got a night," Angel pulled her into his lap.

"Yeah, because she can't do anything about it. But who says that we will only have a night? All we need to do is stay at my place, I love LA," Buffy smiled.

Angel chuckled and kissed her neck. "Me too," he whispered into her ear.

She shivered, and cuddled into his chest."I'm tired."

"You wanna go to bed?" he asked, still kissing her neck.

She looked into his eyes, "Well, not *yet*."

And together they moved to the bedroom.

*~*

"Buffy, wake up."

She groaned, "Can I sleep instead?"

"I guess, I was just wondering if you wanted breakfast at, say 12:30?"

"Hmmm?" she shook her head, "okay, I'm up. I'm up. Breakfast it is."

"What do you like for breakfast, I'll custom make something for you."

She thought for a while, "Toast."

He sighed with his un-breath.

"Come on."

"Okay, how about... eggs?"

He kissed her softly, "I can do eggs."

She moaned and whispered, "Or we can just skip breakfast."

"We could," he picked her up.

"But we won't," Buffy broke the mood, "I'm hungry."

He looked at her smiled and continued starting making her breakfast.

The ate in somewhat silence, enjoying each other's company. After breakfast was over Angel got up to wash the dishes.

"Where are you going, mister?" Buffy asked when Angel started walking up the stairs.

"To get a shirt on, if that's alright with you?"

She looked up, as if to think of an answer, "I guess, as long as you hurry back down, no wait, I'll come with you."

Buffy ran to him and walked upstairs with her arms around his waist.

"Love you," she said from her spot on the bed.

"You too," he grabbed a silk shirt and slipped it over his head.

"So what do you wanna do today?" Buffy asked, now flipping through a magazine that she has brought over earlier.

"Let's go downstairs, I'm sure I have something."

They exited the bedroom and Buffy had just finished the first step when she tripped. She rolled down the stairs and landed with a thud. Angel hurried down the stairs and rushed to her side.

"Are you alright?" he asked, visually checking for injuries.

"Okay, ow, big ow," she said as she got up.

"Awww, come here," Angel sat her down on the couch.

She knotted her brow, "That hurt."

"Where does it hurt?"

"It hurts where you see the lovely little cuts and scrapes. Where else?" she spat at him.

Angel looked hurt.

"I'm sorry, baby, but I'm angry at myself for making the stupid mistake of tripping over my own feet," she looked in his eyes.

He smiled and kissed her forehead, "That's okay."

She raised an elbow to examine her scrapes and winced. Angel noticed this and got up, wandering into the bathroom.

"You stay there," he said when she made a move to get up. "I am sure I have some bandages and stuff."

"Angel, sweetie, I'm fine," she protested.

"I know, but you don't have your healing back yet, and I want to make sure nothing gets infected."

"Whatever," she leaned back into the couch.

When he came back he got to work, bandaging her. She laughed at him, trying to fix her up. He took every precaution. He ignored her laughter and after every bandage he put on he would give her a kiss. When she was done, they watched some TV.

It was about two when the phone rang. Buffy looked at Angel with wide eyes. Who was calling? Usually it was Giles calling about something end of the worldy.

Angel picked up the phone, "Hello?"

Buffy saw Angel wince and then say something into the phone and handed it over to Buffy.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Buffy, why aren't you at home?" her mother asked her.

"Well, Mom," she was thinking of an excuse. "You see, silly me, I tripped, and Angel was fixing me up."

That hit a soft spot, "Oh honey, are you okay?"

"Yeah Mom, I'm fine, but after Angel fixes me up, I'm going to go home, okay?"

"Sure, be careful."

"I will, Mom, bye bye," Buffy handed the phone back to Angel.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Buffy," Angel stared at her.

"What?" she asked, innocently. "I tripped, and I think that that's a good excuse."

"But you lied," he pointed out.

"Only a little," she pouted.

"But--"

"But nothing, walk me home?"

"Sure," he got up, and helped her up.

"Oh, and Angel pack a small bag."

He turned off the light in the hall, "Why?"

She shrugged, "Because you might have to stay over."

He laughed, "Oh, I might? And why is that?"

"Who knows?" she laughed as she walked upstairs.

Buffy helped Angel pack a bag, and walked down the stairs, very carefully. They walked to her house, her watching out with every step she took. It was bad enough she didn't have her slayer strength, but even worse if vamps attacked.

Luckily they got home without a hitch. After Buffy unlocked the door, she walked into family room and turned on the TV. Angel followed her in.

"Goodnight," he kissed her before turning to go home.

"Wait!" she called to him.

"What?"

"My body hurts from when I fell," she patted the couch, motioning for him to join her.

He just rolled his eyes.

The End

-B/A together, he's still all vampy, prefer no clause but doesn't really matter
-Buffy is normal...she's last her slayer power again - you choose the reason, it can even be set post-Helpless before she gets them back
-She hurts herself by tripping (you know, like we all do sometimes?) and scraping hands, arms, legs... he takes care of her which leads to sweet fluff...
