DISCLAIMER: I don't own them, never have and probably never will.
But I do like playing with their world!
TIMELINE: probably after season 4.
SPOLIERS: None that I can think of.
SYNOPSIS: The gang plays a friendly game of truth or dare.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Okey dokey, another story from Kasiya. Angel could be
human, or not. It really doesn't say, so you can decide if he's a
bloodsucker or not.
FEEDBACK: I would love you forever and ever, oh and thanks to Kate
for all the great feedback she sends.
RATING: PG-13
SECOND AUTHOR'S NOTE: I kinda sorta make fun of Riley in here, so if
you like him... don't read. Enjoy!
"So, Spike, truth or dare?" Willow asked.
"Tough question, Red, dare," Spike took out a carton of smokes.
"Put those away. When you're in my house, you don't smoke," Buffy said grabbing them away.
"Hey! Gimme those back," he said as he snatched them back.
"Spike," Angel growled from behind Buffy. He had gone to get snacks and came back to find Spike dis-obeying his girl.
"So, Spike needs to be dared, what should we do to him?" Will said to herself and the rest of the gang. She looked around her. Tara, Xander, Anya, Cordelia, Doyle, Riley, Kate, Buffy, and Angel all grinned, wickedly. They were going to enjoy Will's dare almost as much as she did.
"I dare you to... say one nice thing about each person here," Willow smiled to herself.
Everybody looked at her. They had wanted something that would humilate him, make him look bad, something like that, but she made him do something easy. Or so they thought.
"Fine you witch," he grumbled. He didn't know if he could think of anything nice about these bloaks, let alone *say* something nice about them.
He looked at each person in turn, took a deep breathe and say everything in all one sentence, "Nice, funny, demon, caring, open, normal, kind, hate you, okay for an ex-demon."
"Hey!" Buffy hit him. "That's not a good thing!"
"Well, I think that 'hate you' is better than 'go to hell', don't you?"
"And Spike, just saying demon shouldn't be counted as a good thing about me," Doyle said.
Spike was about to say something when Anya spoke up, "Whatever, your turn."
Buffy leaned into Angel's arms. This would be the perfect night if Riley and Kate weren't here. The gang had seen Riley at the theaters when they saw the movie, and he kinda attached himself onto the group. Kate was waiting for Angel in the mansion, where Buffy and Angel now lived.
Xander offered up the game of truth and dare, Angel was somewhat against it, but caved in to Buffy's pleading eyes. They had been playing for about ten minutes, well actually only five minutes, the first five were meant for deciding on snacks and stuff. The only thing that had happened was that Willow said that her first kiss happened when she was fifteen.
Spike looked around. They had made a rule that everybody had to go once before being picked again. Spike looked around him. His eyes settled on Riley.
"Finn, truth or dare?" he grinned.
Riley's eyes widened. He didn't think he'd be picked at the begining of the game. He somehow picked both before he even thought about it.
"Hmmmm, both. Well I could work something out for Fish Boy," Spike pondered.
Riley had gotten used to the nickname Fish Boy. After all Xander said that Angel was Dead Boy, and Buffy loved him. So if he got used to his nickname, maybe Buffy would fall in love with him. (Kas's note: you must realize that Riley is one of little thinking, and his reasoning does not make sense.)
"Tell me Riley, for the truth section you could tell me if you still love Buffy or not. *But* for the dare section, if the answer to my question is yes, you must sing your ABC's. If the answer is no then you must sing Rubber Ducky. Now, Fish Boy, answer in the form of a song," Spike couldn't wait for this.
Riley thought (he he he) to himself for a moment. He was thinking (he he he, sorry just the thought of Riley thinking makes me laugh) about his choices. On one hand, he wanted to win Buffy back through flowers and candy and stuff. But on the other hand, the group had decided that they had to do all dare and speak truthfully for truths.
He began, "Abcdefg, hijklmnop, qrst- t- t..."
"U," Willow reminded him in between giggles.
"Oh yeah, tuv, wxyz!" he smiled.
The whole gang was laughing. If it was possible they were laughing more at Riley's loss of letter order towards the end of his song. Buffy was mortified. She couldn't believe that he admitted it. All while Angel's arms were tightening around her. Angel didn't want this... creature near his love, let alone sing his love for her.
Riley sat down, looking very pleased with himself. He sat down with a bob to his head and spoke up, rather loudly so everyone could hear him over the laughter, "My turn!"
"Buffy, truth or dare?"
"Uhhhh," Buffy looked at Angel. She knew that a dare from Riley could be scary, but a truth might hurt his feelings, oh well, a dare it was.
"Dare," she said.
Fish Boy had to think for a while. He couldn't dare her to kiss him or anything, cause Mama wouldn't be proud. She says that your first kiss should happen after the seventh date. One time he asked her how she got that number and she said it was because she had seven kids. He thought long and hard. Finally the light bulb went off in his head.
"I dare you to kiss Angel," he paused, he needed to make this good, "on the *lips*."
Buffy supressed a laugh and then faked a gasp. "Are you sure?"
"Okay, okay, if you think it's a little harsh, you only have to do the check," Riley gave her another option.
"No, I should be daring," she nodded to herself and turned around to face Angel.
As she got ready for the kiss, Riley puckered his lips, he could pretend she was kissing him. Right? Buffy placed her lips firmly on Angel's and Angel returned the kiss for about a minute. Riley un- puckered his lips after a second, thinking that Buffy wanted to end the kiss as soon as possible.
When he saw what was really going on he said to himself, "This wasn't how it was re-hearsed in my head!"
Spike laughed at this comment and the laugh brought Buffy and Angel back into reality. They secretly smiled and Buffy looked up, flushed.
"So, my turn huh?"
She got a nod from a few people.
"Cordy, truth or dare?"
"Dare," she shrugged.
"I dare you to... put on some makeup."
Cordy looked suprised. "That's it?"
"Not done yet, I dare you to put on bright pink lipstick, dark blue eye shadow, put your hair in a ponytail on top of you head, and pencil in some eyebrows," Buffy laughed.
"What?" Cordy's looked fraught. "I meant to say truth, it just came out wrong."
"Fine," Buffy laughed, "tell me, when did you first start liking hanging out with us?"
Cordelia looked uncomfortable. "I don't know, you all kinda grew on me, but I guess during junior year," she confided. "Though I didn't like all of you at once," she glared at Xander. "Let's see, who to pick? Okay, Xander, truth or dare?"
"I can do any dare!" Xander exclaimed.
"So is that a dare?" Cordelia asked annoyed.
"Yeah," Xand looked down at the ground.
"I dare you to strip down and run around in the mansion," Corsy smiled to hersellf, obviously pleased.
Xander looked doubtful.
"Is it because of your problem?" Anya asked him, quite loud.
"What problem?" Cordy asked, amused.
"Oh he has this thing wher--" she was interrupted by Xander shh- ing her.
"I'll do it," he grumbled.
So he stripped down and ran through every room in mansion, except for the rooms that Buffy and Angel shouted not to go in. When he finished he looked around for some reaction. Willow and Tara were bright red, and every body else was laughing, well, except for Anya.
"Nothing I haven't seen before," she told him when he sat down next to her.
"Okay, somebody will pay, hey Kate, truth or dare?"
"Uhhh, dare," she told him, then quietly added, "this is so childish."
"Well, Kate, how about you get up and sing Red Hot Chili Peppers for us?"
"Okay," she said as she got up.
"In your underwear," he added.
She looked at him. He was serious? Looked like it.
"I don't know," she shook her head.
"Come on, Kate, it's a dare. I dared you so you have to do the dare," Xander told the blond in front of him.
"Fine," she got up and sang, in her underwear. She picked the song 'I Like Dirt'. She was singing, and she actually looked happy and giddy. Half way through the song she looked around and suddenly stopped. She looked at Xander.
"I hate you! You are stupid to force me to do this! I'm going home!" and with that she picked up her clothes and left the mansion, crying.
"She's a little mood swing-y," Buffy explained.
A bunch of "ohhh's" came from the group. They needed somebody to go. Tara offered to ask somebody, she said that she didn't really want to be picked anyway, so this could be her turn. Everybody agreed.
"Anya, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Okay, uhhh," Willow wispered something into her ear.
"Hey!" Anya complained.
"Just let it slide," Xander told his girlfriend, silently begging her not to make that into a big deal.
"Fine," she said as she crossed her arms.
"Okay, when you say that you changed forms, as a demon, did you ever change into a guy? And if so how many times?"
"I was a guy about three hundred or so many times," she said openly.
Xander just looked at her funny.
"You were a guy?" he asked.
"Well, sometimes, yeah, why?"
"No reason," Xander shaking his head. "I have the weirdest life," he muttered to himself. Anya focused her attention to Angel.
"Angel, truth or dare?"
"Dare," he told the ex-demon.
"I want you to put on a pair of those leather pants."
Angel looked at her oddly, but went up to go change. He came back a few minutes later, wearing the pants. Anya wistled and Buffy glared at her, well inbetween stares.
"Turn around," Buffy said, making a turning motion with her finger. He turned around for her and she sat there looking at him with affection. She turned her head to follow him as he turned. Riley sat there, looking jealous. He thought, I could look that good in leather. (Another Kasiya's note: The mere thought of Riley in leather scares me to the point of no return, which is why we will skip the part in my story when Riley tells the group he look that good in leather, and proves it with another pair of Angels' pants. So we will come back to the part where Riley takes off the pants, puts on regular pants, and Angel keeps wearing his. k? :) )
"So, Doyle, is it truth or is it dare?"
"Well, man, I'd say dare, but I'm afraid, so truth."
"I want you to tell the group just how often you go for drinks."
"Ah, man, that's mean, oh well, I admit it, about everyday, but come on, I'm Irish!"
"Don't worry, you little Irish man, we'll get you help yet," Cordy assured him.
Buffy yawned. As did Willow and Tara.
"You know what? It's late, what do you say, call it a night?" Buffy asked the group.
"Sounds good," Doyle said as he got up.
Riley looked outside, "It's dark outside, can I stay with you?"
Buffy and Angel were in bed that night. They were talking about the day's events as they cuddled.
"So, you liked the movie" Angel asked.
"Yeah, a good date movie, I would say," she nodded her head.
"So what the best thing about tonight?"
"You in leather pants, I wouldn't mind if you wore those more often," she said as she kissed him. After Angel turned off the light he continued to kiss his love, the kiss grew more and more passionate. When suddenly a bright light filled the room.
"I had a bad dream," Riley said from his position in the doorway.
