The doorbell rang.
"Angel, would you get that?" Buffy called from the bathroom.
"Yeah, sure," Angel got up off the couch, turning off the TV.
He opened the door, "Hello."
"Hey!" Xander said after noticing that he and Angel were wearing the same outfit, khakis and a blue polo.
They looked at each other for a moment before stating the cause of this, "Buffy."
"Buffy what?" Buffy asked as she walked into the foyer where Angel and Xander were standing.
"Buffy is probably the cause of us and our same outfits," Xander explained.
"Well, Xander, I liked that shirt on you and I thought it would look good on Angel and so shopping it was..." she trailed off.
"Okay, whatever, Angel, go change," Xander pointed to the bedroom.
"Why me?" Angel protested.
Xander gave a small sigh and said, "Because you have more shirts here, and I don't. Now, go."
Buffy just watched, amused.
"Fine," Angel grumbled. He turned and walked through the family room to the hall and then into the bedroom. He changed into a blue checkered like tee shirt. He looked in the mirror once before leaving. He liked having a reflection.
"Better?" he asked as he turned around to show his new outfit.
"Much, makes you look all the more sexy," Buffy whispered to him after pulling him closer to her.
"Wait! This doesn't make me look sexy?" Xander asked.
"To me? Not really. But maybe to Anya..." Buffy smiled.
"Sure," Xander said before turning around, "let's go."
Buffy grabbed the wrapped package off the table, and the three walked out of Buffy and Angel's house. It wasn't very big, but it wasn't really small, the perfect size for a young couple.
"Now be careful, if my uncle finds even a scratch outside or inside this car, he'll kill me, and he might possibly go after you," Xander told the two before climbing into the driver's seat.
"Then why are you driving it?" Angel asked.
"Honestly? I don't know," he shrugged as he started up the car.
"Oh, and thanks for the ride," Buffy said after the pulled out of the driveway.
"No problem, but for the record, when is your car gonna be ready?"
"In a couple days," Angel smiled.
"Oh."
"So who's all gonna be here?" Buffy asked from her back seat position.
"Well, you guys, me, Anya, Will and Oz of course, Cordy, Doyle, Spike, Giles, your mom, Wesley, Tara, and Riley," Xander said with a slight shudder at that name.
"He's not *that* bad," Angel said to Buffy's disgusted face.
"Yes, he is *that* bad. And so much worse."
"Buffy, be nice," Angel kissed her lightly.
"I won't make any promises, but I *can* try," she pouted.
"That's all I ask."
"Good," she crossed her arms over her chest and sunk back into the seat.
"And here we are," Xander announced as he pulled up into the driveway.
"Do I have to?" Buffy whined.
"Yes," Angel said firmly.
Xander, who was already out of the car, stuck his head in the car window and said, "Come on!"
Buffy got herself out of the car, and walked up to the front door. Angel grabbed the present and ran after her. She rang the doorbell. The house was big. It was painted a creamy white color, had a lot of windows and a huge porch. On the porch there were a few wicker chairs and a table. A swing hung from the ceiling. Angel noted that it looked like a plantation house from the outside.
There was some shuffle behind the door and then it was opened to reveal Willow. A smile lit her whole face.
"Hey guys!" she hugged them.
"Hey Will!" Buffy hugged her.
"Hello Willow," Angel greeted.
"Come in, come in!"
Buffy took a step in. The house looked big from the outside and a simple glance from the inside told Buffy that this home was huge. The was a foyer with a closet and then stairs to the left. A family room to the right and a kitchen all the way back, or at least it sounded like the kitchen all the way back. A clatter of pots and pans could be heard from the foyer. Buffy couldn't wait to get upstairs to take a look at things.
"Voila!" Willow showed off her home.
"It's beautiful Will!" Buffy gushed as she stepped further into the not so little hallway.
"Well, what do you say of coming in and taking a look around?" Willow asked the three.
"Great, and a tour?" Buffy eyebrows raised.
"Of course, but first there's that pesky thing called socializing," the red head reminded them.
"Oh, yeah, that."
Buffy stomped into the family room, and sat down on the couch and began talking with Anya.
Willow and Angel followed her.
"Beautiful house," Angel said more to himself as he looked up, admiring the high ceiling.
The gang talked for a while and after everyone had gotten there a tour was in order.
The main floor contained a bathroom, a kitchen, a family room, a parlor, and the foyer. Upstairs the hallway stretched to the right and the left. There were four bedrooms, and two bathrooms, on off the hallway and one off the master bedroom.
Throughout the showing Giles made comments about its size and decorations, and eventually he and Wesley got into a heated discussion about the decorations of the early 1900's. Angel joined in, with the great argue that he lived in those times, and he knew best. Buffy brought Angel out, Mrs. Summers touched Giles arm, and led him away from Wesley and Tara just cleared her throat.
When the tour was over Will and Oz looked at everybody, "So?"
"I think I speak for everyone when I say, We love it!" Xander stepped up.
"Yeah, Red, this house reminds me of one I used to have," Spike said, still turning his head around.
"Oh?" Oz asked.
"Yeah, couple years before I was turned, my grand mum had a house like this, had a lot of good times in that house," Spike put his hand on the stair rail.
He received a few amused from the rest of the group.
"What?" Spike asked looking around.
Nobody said anything.
"Bloody wankers," Spike muttered before going into the kitchen.
"Wow, this house is really nice," Riley said to Willow.
"Yeah, but you need to visit a good furniture store," Cordelia spoke, indicating the couches that were in the family room.
"Okay, but Cordy, we didn't have time to shop for new furniture, so right now we are keeping the furniture from the apartment," Willow reasoned.
"Still," Cordy huffed.
Doyle smiled and put his arm around Cordelia, "That's my girl."
She just smiled sweetly and kissed him on his nose, "Uh huh."
"Willow and Oz, congratulations on this house, I am very happy for you both, but I'm afraid I must leave, thank you for having me," Mrs. Summers hugged Will and Oz and then grabbed her coat and made an exit.
"What do you all say to dinner?" Oz asked the group.
Everybody agreed that dinner would be nice, and then went to the kitchen where spaghetti had been made.
"You would have had something nicer, but spaghetti is easier, so pasta is was," Willow said.
"Thank you Will," Giles smiled.
After dinner was done everybody sat in the family room, talking about any future plans.
"So, how are the newly-weds doing?" Doyle asked, already knowing the answer.
"Good," Angel said taking a sip of his root beer.
"Do you have any house plans?" Cordelia asked.
"Actually, yes, sometime within the year," Buffy beamed.
"Good luck," Wesley quipped.
Angel looked at him strangely but said thanked him anyway.
"Open your presents," Anya said.
"Presents?" Will asked.
"Yes, the gifts we got you."
"Okay," Oz said.
Spike gave them chains, "A good addition to any house," he said.
They received a quilt from Cordy and Doyle, some books from Giles and Wesley, and some art from Mrs. Summers (she left her present there). Buffy and Angel gave them some bookends and candles, Xander and Anya gave them a calendar, and a cow picture frame from Riley. Tara's gift had already been done, she gave the house a big protection spell. Oz and Willow thanked everybody for their wonderful gifts.
It wasn't long before Tara noticed Anya tapping Xander on the knee. Xander would look at her and shake his head. Anya would turn her attention back to the conversation and five seconds later, the cycle would repeat.
Tara wondered what was going on, but said nothing. She didn't know these people really well, and didn't want to step on any toes.
Finally Xander sighed and got up, "Great little party, Will, Oz, but Anya and I need to get going."
"We are going to have sex," Anya announced.
Everybody groaned, and Xander ushered Anya out of the house within seconds.
After they left Cordy noticed Riley had turned a couple shades of red. Cordy, not really liking Riley that much decided to bring this up.
"What's wrong Riley?" she asked in a sympathetic voice.
"Nothing," he said quickly. "I have to go to the bathroom."
After he left Cordelia let out a small chuckle, "I think Fishboy is uncomfortable with the whole topic of sex."
This caused Buffy to laugh, immediately the gears in her head began turning. When Riley came back, his face had a lesser red shade covering it.
Buffy shared a quick glance with Cordelia and said, "So, Will, I hear you and Oz are trying for kids?"
Will smiled, "Yeah, how bout you and Angel?"
Buffy shared a smiled with Angel before turning back to Willow. "Yep, nothing yet, obviously, but I can't say that trying isn't fun."
Riley turned a couple more shades of red, Buffy laughed on the inside. Angel pulled her tighter into his lap, and whispered into her ear, "That's not very nice."
She pouted, "Spoil my fun."
"Fun later, civil now."
"Promise?"
"Yeah," Angel kissed her neck.
Cordy just enjoyed Riley's discomfort. She turned to Angel.
"You know, Angel, I never asked you, when you turned back to human, what qualities did you keep?"
He looked at her, not sure where she was going. He also knew Cordy didn't like Riley, but wasn't sure what the hell Cordy was accomplishing.
"Uhh, strength, healing abilities, sometimes blood, and ummm..."
"Stamina?" Cordy supplied.
"Oh yeah," Buffy grinned.
Angel poked her, but Buffy didn't notice, she just tried to stifle her giggles with Cordelia.
Riley turned a deep crimson, "I gotta go," and he ran out the door, muttering about how Bessie would never use that language, and she was better for him.
The entire room burst out laughing, well, except Giles and Wesley, they missed the conversation because they were reading a book that Angel had given to Giles that evening.
Gile's looked up, confused. He looked at his watch and excused himself, thanked Oz and Willow, and then thanked Angel for the book, and because Giles was Wesley's ride he had to leave.
The now smaller group of eight, talked for a small while more before Willow and Oz hinted that they still had some unpacking to do. Cordy and Doyle offered a ride for Buffy and Angel since Xander and Anya left. Tara offered a ride to Spike, pretty confident that he wouldn't kill her.
Buffy and Angel dragged themselves into the bedroom where they changed.
"Well, that was fun," Buffy yawned.
"Uh huh," Angel yawned. "Ready for bed?"
Buffy used her puppy eyes, "Well you did promise some 'fun' for me."
Angel smiled, "If I promised..."
"Which you did," Buffy reminded him.
"Then I should keep my promise."
"I love you," Buffy whispered in his ear.
"I love you too."
