Summary: Riley comes back and causes trouble for the O'Connors.
Author's Notes: Yes, I realize there are major discrepincies in my last two stories. The flashback I wrote in The Wedding-Angel's POV was for another story. What really happened: Angel found Buffy crying on a park bench. Also the use of McFladgery was for the same other story. In this series, Angel's last name is O'Connor.

Riley missed Buffy. He had lost track of her over the five years since he had broken up with her. He knew she wasn't in Sunnydale anymore. That much was made clear by Willow. What was weird was the silence that she had, as if she didn't want to tell me where Buffy was. It was entirely possible that Buffy had moved on. Had someone else in her life now. But Riley didn't want to believe that nagging little thought.

He had gone to see Angel, to see if he knew where Buffy had gone to, but the office and apartment were empty. Then he saw her name in the society section of the paper:

Fashion Designer Seen With Medical Intern Cousin.

The rest of the article had gone on to say how the world famous fashion designer, Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald Crane, had been spotted at her cousin's wedding and reception in Chicago with husband, Ethan Crane. Riley read on that her cousin's name was Buffy Summers O'Connor.

It was true. Buffy had moved on with her life and got married. It didn't matter to him, he traveled to Chicago to meetup with his former girlfriend. He had a plan to steal her away from her husband. If she loved him once, she could love him again.

Buffy could feel someone following her. She was glad that she still trained. Her senses had never dulled since she had been retired as the slayer. She was thankful for that now. She dodged into a side allay on her way to the EL platform from work.

"Okay, whoever is there come out. NOW!"

Who emerged from the shadows was not who she expected.

"Riley Finn."

"Hello, Buffy."

"That's Mrs. O'Connor to you, jerkwad."

With that, Buffy left the alley and headed home. Even after six months of being married to Angel, Buffy still got a low down tingly feeling whenever she looked at her left hand. On her middle finger was the Claddagh Angel gave her. On the finger next to it, a huge diamond sat atop a solid gold wedding band.

She opened the door to the apartment, excited to tell her husband what she had learned today. But that thought was halted when she saw the scene in the living room. Liam was reading an I-can-read book while he sat in Angel's lap. Even though their son was only two, he had the mental capacity of a five year old. He could add and subtract and even read better than most kids twice his age.

Buffy snuggled up next to her husband. "My doctor gave me some really great news today."

Angel settled Liam on a seat next to him. "What's that, Love?"

Buffy was about to speak when the phone rang.

It was Riley. He wanted to meet for coffee the next day and she agreed. While she was on the phone, Angel had gotten a page from Dawn, she needed him at Angel Investigations. He kissed his wife on the forehead and headed out.

Angel accompanied Buffy to the coffee shop to meet Riley. He trusted Buffy completely. He just didn't trust Riley at all.

Riley didn't seem at all fazed when Angel showed up. He basically ignored the ex-vampire.

Over the next couple of weeks, Riley showed up everywhere they went and Buffy couldn't get a chance to share her great news with Angel. Finally, Angel had Riley arrested for stalking and disturbing their peace. Buffy was glad she was finally able to share the results of her doctor's visit with her husband.
