Dear Angel,

This letter is just in case. Just in case something happens to me. Just in case I die. I know, I know, I shouldn't talk like that, but tonight I had a run in with death. I would have died if Spike hadn't shown up. It made me realize that I don't want to leave this world without saying some things I should have said a long time ago.

I'm writing this letter to tell you I love you. I always have and I always will. I loved you when I found out you were a vampire, I loved you even when you were Angelus, I loved you through Faith, I loved you as you walked away, into that cloud of fog. I'll love you forever, that's the whole point.

If you are reading this I probably have died, or I'm missing, or something. But Angel, don't give up. Don't ever give up. Don't do anything stupid. Go on with your unlife. Save people. We'll be together at some point. Don't guilt yourself. Me dying was inevitable. If you try and do anything dumb, Angel… if you do nothing in this letter that I ask you, don't give up. Please Angel.

I ask that you take my Claddagh ring off the chain around my neck and put it on my hand, heart pointing inwards. Because I belong to someone. I belong to you. Also, put my leather jacket on me. Make the funeral at night so you and Spike can attend. Help the others. It's going to be hard for them.

Just remember I love you. And please Angel, don't do anything stupid. Your time will come.
