AUTHOR'S NOTES: Sanctuary and The Yoko Factor happened, but Buffy and Angel didn't fight, and Riley didn't meet Angel. Buffy also didn't tell Riley about Angel. I was in a really wacky mood when I wrote this, so… who knows what it will turn out like. Yea! A fluffy fic from Kelley.

I had been training Kate for two months now. She had asked me to, and reluctantly I had given in. I was trying to pay attention, but my mind kept slipping back to times when I had trained with Buffy. She was in Sunnydale though, and I am in LA.

"Angel what's wrong?"

"Nothing, you ready to train?"

"Angel, do you remember when you told me that there were some things in this world I wasn't ready to face?"

"I remember"

"Well now I feel like I'm ready for anything."

Trying to choke back my laughter I replied, "anything?" Kate then nodded reassuringly, "Anything." My mind starting racing with ideas and I said,

"Then pack your bags Kate, because we are going to test you. Kate looked at me strangely, "We?"

A couple of hours later we were arriving in Sunnydale. Upon arriving I found my way back to the University of Sunnydale with amazing ease. I made my way up the steps to Buffy's dorm with Kate on my heels. I reached the door and was about to knock when it came spiraling open and Buffy came strolling out. Without looking she ran right into Kate.

"Oh I'm sorry I wasn't… Angel?"

"Hey"

"Hey, what are you doing here, not I'm not glad to see you."

"Oh, this is Kate… a friend. You might have met her at the station in LA."

"Yeah, I remember you. Anyway, I was on my way to the gym, but if you want to…"

"No, actually that's what we came here for. I've been kind of training Kate, and while we were talking today she said she thought she was ready for anything. And I was thinking…"

"You were thinking that I could possible test her."

"Yeah, along those lines."

"I'd be glad to."

Buffy face turned into a wicked grin and she turned to go to the gym. I walked beside her with Kate behind us. On the way Kate sneered, "She's gonna beat me?"

At the gym Buffy greeted a few people and made her way to the open floor. Kate was getting impatient. I didn't know why though. Kate made her way to the floor with Buffy and I sat down ready to enjoy the show I was about to get.

"Buffy", a voice called from across the gym. Buffy rolled her eyes when she saw who it was coming towards her. She shot me a glance that said, talk later. I simply nodded. I could now she who the voice was coming from.

"Buffy, hey."

"Riley"

"What are you doing?"

"I'm sparring with Kate here."

"Fun, hey I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to…"

"Riley, I thought we talked about his, we broke up remember?"

"Yeah but still…"

"No Riley"

"Well, can I spar with you?"

"Look, if you want to stay, I'll possibly let you spar with me, ok?"

"Ok", he said while taking a seat next to me.

After getting pinned more than five times in less than fifteen minutes, Kate eagerly quit. I in the meantime was trying very hard to suppress my laughter. Buffy deciding to have some fun of her own turned to Riley and said, "Riley, how would you like to spar with Angel here?" "Him, I can beat him." Before turning to sit down Buffy whispered to me, "Have fun."

After getting pinned more than five times in less than fifteen minutes, Riley eagerly quit. Buffy can over to me and said quietly, "Why don't we let them fight it out for a while?" Buffy than sweetly called to Riley.

"Riley, why don't you and Kate try sparring for a while?"

Both agreed, so we sat and watched for about five minutes before we got extremely bored.

"Why don't we go for a coffee?" suggested Buffy.

"That'd be nice."

"Okay, then lets go, we have serious catching up to do."

"Oh yeah, there's this prophecy I've got to tell you about…"
