BUFFY AND ANGEL'S APARTMENT - DAY AFTER BUFFY MOVES IN
When Angel awoke that evening, he was surprised and pleased to find Buffy asleep on the bed with him. He leaned over and kissed her softly, with this Buffy started to wake up, the first thing she saw when opening her eyes was Angel staring intently at her.
"Good evening, Ms. Sleepyhead" Angel said.
"I'll have you know the only reason I went to sleep then is because, if I don't sleep when you do, I'd never get to" Buffy told him.
"And why would that be?" Angel asked innocently.
"Because you're a sex maniac" Buffy explained cautiously, unsure how Angel would take to the label.
With a look of pride on his face he told her "Only with you".
"Good answer" she told him, as he once again leaned over her and started to kiss her, and as he slowly started to trail kisses down her face and neck, all of her thoughts went out of her head as she gave into the sensations Angel was causing.
A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER
Angel was sitting on his couch staring at his once nice, clean and tastefully decorated apartment. He couldn't believe what had happened to it in a few short hours, all courtesy of Buffy, he didn't even have a word in his wide vocabulary to describe what it looked like now. When Buffy finally came out of the bathroom she noticed Angel sitting on the couch all alone, looking as if his very world had come to an end.
As she walked over to him, she said "Angel, what's wrong? Is everyone ok?", thinking his funk 0002000008A800000904 8A2,might have something to do with Cordy and the others.
He looked straight at her and said, "Not that I'm complaining or anything, Buffy. But what did you do to the apartment?"
"I just made it a little more homey" Buffy told him condescendingly, as if he should have already known it.
"Who's home, Marilyn Manson's?" he muttered, then said loudly "Ok, then please explain to me, how exactly does a giant picture of Oz's ex-band make our apartment more homey?" he asked her.
"Oh, Willow gave it to me after she and Oz went their separate ways, since I was a big Dingoes fan......" however, seeing Angel's horror at having that poster as a permanent fixture in the apartment, she said "You know maybe I could ask Oz if he wants it as a keepsake?"
"I think that's a good idea" Angel said, his relief evident.
"Anything else?" Buffy asked him.
Angel pondered the question, as he looked around the apartment. The other changes she had made weren't so bad, they made it seem as if it were both of them living their and he could get used to it. That's when he saw it.
"Buffy" he said "Why is Mr Gordo on the bed?"
Buffy glared at Angel and said "He and I are a package deal and besides I thought you liked him".
"Buffy, I'm not asking you to ditch the pig. I am simply asking you to keep him somewhere other than our bed." Angel told her calmly.
"Is that all. Ok, I'll move him".
"Thanks" Angel said.
"No problem" she said giving Angel a quick kiss "I'm going to get dressed now".
"Do you have to?" Angel asked seductively.
"Yes, I do, Mr sex maniac" she replied.
"Ok, I suppose, I should go to work...." Angel said distractedly.
"Yep, you should. I'll be up soon." Buffy said as she walked off towards the bedroom.
"You're coming?" Angel asked surprised.
"Hey, remember I told that Kate-thing that I worked for you" Buffy yelled back.
"You don't have to, you know" Angel told her, hoping she'd say she still wanted to, the agency could use the extra help with the influx of cases they'd been getting.
"I know, but I want to. Besides are you going to tell me that you couldn't use a slayer around here."
"You're sure?" Angel asked again.
"Since when 00020000073D000011A6 737,have I done anything I didn't want to do?" Buffy reminded him.
"Well....it looks like I got myself a new employee".
"Yeah well don't let the whole boss-employee thing go to your head, I can still kick your butt" Buffy told him as he climbed into the lift.
AN HOUR LATER
Buffy was sitting in the outer office with Cordy, Doyle and Oz, explaining to them how she was going to work here.
"Buffy, this is so totally great!" Cordy exclaimed.
"Welcome aboard, Lass" Doyle said winking at her.
Oz sat there in silence staring at nothing, he'd been like that since he'd found out about Willow and Tara.
And still Cordy gushed "This is majorly fantastic. It's like we get to hang out, just like the old Scooby-days, except now we get paid to fight all those demony things".
"Hey, I never thought of it that way" Buffy said excitedly.
Doyle and Oz recognised the looks that Buffy and Cordy were exchanging and knew that things would never be the same again.
"This is so cool" Cordy just kept saying.
MEANWHILE IN ANGEL'S OFFICE
Angel sat at his desk waiting for Wesley's reaction to the news about Buffy. Wesley finally said "If she wants to help us out, I'll welcome her. It's just....."
"What?" Angel asked.
"She probably holds me responsible for the whole Faith-mess" Wesley replied.
"Wes, I'm sure she doesn't blame you".
"I wouldn't blame her if she did" Wesley exclaimed.
"If you're worried about it, why don't you ask her?" Angel suggested.
"Ok, I will. Send her in" Wesley said, trying to hide his nervousness.
OUTER OFFICE
Buffy was still sitting there listening to Doyle recount the agency's adventures, when he'd finally stopped, she said "Wow, you guys have had some adventures".
"Aye, and I am supposing that more will be coming, now you're here" Doyle commented.
"Yeah, where 000200000C09000018DD C03,Buffy goes mayhem follows" Cordy joked.
Just then Angel stepped out of his office, and said "Buffy. Wesley would like to talk to you".
"Sure" she said as she got up and entered Angel's office.
ANGEL'S OFFICE
When she went inside she saw Wesley seated at Angel's desk. "Hey Wes" she said.
"Hello Buffy"
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" she asked, even though she already knew the answer.
"Well, I........" he began uncomfortably.
Buffy put him out of his misery "Faith, huh?"
"Well, yes actually" he replied.
"It wasn't your fault" Buffy told him matter-of-factly.
"How did you come to that conclusion?" Wesley asked sorrowfully.
"Wes, she was like that before she came to Sunnydale. We saw signs of it before you even arrived." Buffy carefully explained to him.
"Really?" he asked hopefully.
"Yeah. If you don't believe me, call Giles or Willow. They'll tell you." Buffy said.
"So........" he began.
"Don't worry everything is cool. Friends?" she asked.
"Friends" he agreed.
Buffy shocked him by hugging him, but after a second he returned it and Buffy finally said "Let's go see what everyone's up to out there".
"Ok" Wesley agreed as they left the office together.
THE APARTMENT - LATER THAT NIGHT
Angel and Buffy were lying in bed, just holding each other as they discussed the night's events.
"I'm glad, you and Wes worked it out" Angel told her.
"Me too. Who'd have thought that Wes, blamed himself for Faith's psychosis and betrayal" Buffy replied.
"He is a very strange and complex man" Angel commented.
"That's not exactly how I'd phrase it, but it's accurate" after a moment she added "He's not as bad as I remember".
"He's a good guy, you just remember him trying to take Giles' place" Angel told her.
"I guess that was one of the problems back then. The men in my life, the council tried to replace Giles, I couldn't have you and Xander was getting on my nerves slightly"
"Yep, of course I didn't have any problems, like a curse that could be broken by happiness and then your girlfriend announcing she was practically moving in, and you wondering how you were supposed to keep your hands off her. No wait a second I did have those problems" Angel said sarcastically.
"So that's why you left?" Buffy asked quietly.
"One of them, Buffy" seeing the sad look he said "It doesn't matter now".
All of a sudden Buffy started to laugh. Angel mystified as to why asked "What?"
"You had trouble keeping your hands off me, even then. You are just such a sex maniac".
Not one to let a comment like that go, Angel set about proving to Buffy that he wasn't the only sex maniac that resided there.
