Buffy stared at the stage disinterestedly. Riley was chattering on about something or other, and she really couldn't care less. She finally had had it with her "normal" life, she was sick of this. Among that mass of writhing bodies, she felt her Angel. Though she had no clue as to why he would be in Sunnydale, she planned tonight to let him know she was through with a normal life. One way or another.

"Buffy...are you even listening to me?" Riley whined. Buffy turned to him and gave him an 'If looks could kill' look and said, "Hell no." then calmly stood, and walked to the stage.

She spoke with the DJ for a minute and then calmly stepped up. "We have a special request,", the DJ began ,"Buffy Summers would like to sing a song dedicated to her one true love, her Angel." Buffy just smiled sweetly and waited for the music to begin.

In the crowd, Angel could hardly believe what his love was doing. He watched in fascination as the music began. She moved with the music's slow, steady rhythm and then began to sing.

It's like jumping,
It's like leaping,
It's like walking on the ceiling,
It's like floating
It's like flying through the air,
It's like soring,
It's like gliding,
It's a rocket ship your riding,
It's a feeling that can take you anywhere,
So why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
I don't know,

There was passion,
There was laughter,
The first morning after,
I just couldn't,
get my feet to touch the ground,
Every time we were together,
We talked about forever,

I was certain it was heaven we had found,
So why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
I don't know,

But you can't live your life,
Walking in the clouds,
Sooner or later
You have to come down,

It's like a knife,
Through the heart,
When it all comes apart,
It's like someone,
Takes a pin to your balloon,
It's a hole,
It's a cave,
It's kinda like a grave,
When he tells you,
That he's found somebody new,
And why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
Now I know,

Why they call it falling,
Why they call it falling,
Now I know.

By the time Buffy's song came to an end, there probably wasn't a dry eye in the house. If there was, then there surely wasn't after the following events. With a choked cry Angel ran to his love. His arms went around her pulling her close and he inhaled her scent. "How did you find me here?" he asked.

Buffy half smiled at the words he had used. "If I was blind I'd see you." she answered, quoting her long ago dream. Angel kissed her, there was nothing else he could do. "Stay with me?" she asked, hope flooding her gaze.

As if on cue, Angel answered, "Forever...that's the whole point."
