Summary: It's been nearly a year since the events in IWRY and Buffy has a surprise for Angel.

Notes: Takes place about a year after I Will Remember You.

Buffy balanced the baby carrier on her hip expertly. The twin girls with in it were fussing, but not to bad. With her free hand she knocked on the door to Angel Investigations and then stepped in.

Cordelia looked up as Buffy entered beginning to say "Welcome to Angel Investigations where we....what in hell?" Buffy half smiled and gave Cordelia a raised eyebrow. "Hey Cordelia....is Angel here?"

Cordelia was staring at the twins in the carrier on Buffy's hip. "Are those," "They're min, mine and....Angel's." Cordelia made a silent 'oh' with her mouth and then called out, "Angel.....someone's here to see you."

Angel came through the doorway, his usual black duster trailing behind him. "Who is....Buffy?" Buffy set her daughters down gently and walked over to Angel. "Hello, Angel." She rested her hand on his face. "I have two very special people for you to meet."

Silently, Angel followed Buffy over to the carrier and watched as she lifted the two babies from it. She balanced one expertly on each hip. "These are Alicia and Alexandra." she said, and then gave Alicia to hold. "Angel, I'd like you to meet your daughters."

Angel blinked and looked down at the small infant in his arms. "But how could they be?" Buffy smiled softly and reached out to trace her hand over his face. "I never forgot, Angel, I made you think I did because I thought it was what you wanted, but three months later, I really had no choice but to tell you that I remembered." She lifted Alicia gently to her chest. "Everyone knows about them, and who the father is. I only waited this long because I wasn't sure if you would want to see me again. An old friend of yours, Doyle, came to me in a dream and told me that you did and so here I am."

Angel looked in pure amazement at his lover and daughters. "How old are they?" Buffy smiled and handed Angel Alicia to hold as she answered, "Three months." Angel looked into eyes that were his own and then looked at features that were a mixture of his and Buffy's. He looked at the ringlets that framed their small faces, that was definitely Buffy's hair.

Angel smiled at Buffy and then a tear slid down his cheek. "My daughters...and my wife." Buffy looked surprised. "Wife?" Angel smiled again and then showed her his claddagh ring. "These bound us together in an old Irish custom, they are kind of our wedding rings." "Why didn't you tell me?" Buffy asked. "I'm sorry, I never got the chance, and then after I returned....I really didn't think it was important."

Buffy laughed and then kissed him. "You didn't think it was important huh? Maybe what I have to tell you isn't important either." "What?" Angel asked, shifting his daughters in his arms. "Your curse is totally permanent, Doyle told me so." Buffy looked happily into his eyes.

Angel opened his mouth to say something, but Cordelia who had been watching silently all this time, butted in. "That's wonderful! Look, Buffy I'll watch the twins, you and Angel go and catch up...on things." Buffy smiled gratefully at Cordelia and then explained instructions for taking care of the twins. "Alright, alright, now shoo, go have some fun." Cordelia smiled as her two friends left, she could only imagine what they would do....then she turned to the now crying twins. "Gee....what a double surprise you two were, huh? Now let's see....are you hungry or..." It was going to be an interesting night.
