Buffy sat quietly in the grave yard, the bottle of pills held tightly in her left hand. Damnit, she was sick of this. Sick of fighting, sick of caring, sick of it all being her fault. If Angelus wouldn't end this for her, than by damn, she would.

When I'm all alone,
And no one else is there,
Waiting by the phone,
To remind me I'm still here,
And shadows paint the scenes,
Where spotlights used to fall,
And I'm left wondering
Is it really worth it all,

She had left letters for all of them. Giles, Xander, Willow, Oz, even Cordelia. She had told them why she had to do this and where she wanted what to go. She had explained in detail how she wanted her funeral to go. God help her, if Angel still was some where, and was watching, she silently apologized to him as well.

There's a peace inside us all,
Let it be your friend,
It will help you carry on,
In the end,
There's a peace inside us all,

Slowly, methodically Buffy uncapped the bottle which she held. She had brought a small container of water with her with which to take them. It was fitting she thought, that she should end her life in a grave yard. "Where all the dead lie." she whispered and then proceeded to slowly swallow her poison.

Life can hold you down,
When you're not looking up,
Can't you hear the sounds,
Hearts beating out loud,
Though the names have changed,
Inside we're all the same,
Why can't we tear down these walls,
And show the scars we're covering,

Angelus watched in pure horror as the Slayer tilted her head back to swallow the last of the pills she had just taken. What in hell was she doing? Then it hit him. She was committing suicide. "No, damnit!" he cried as he rushed forward to catch her as she fell.

He sat there for a few minutes cradling his fallen Slayer. He had driven to this and some how, though he should have felt victorious, he didn't. Instead, all he felt was empty. There was only one thing to do now. Turn her.

There's a peace inside us all,
Let it be your friend,
It will help you carry on,
In the end,
There's a peace inside us all.
