I turn to look at him
My eyes are questioning.
We have everything
To lose.even more
Than we know.

So why am I thinking this,
I should be happy,
Not this sad.
There's a problem
With what can be,
What we can have.

We come from different worlds,
He and I.
Looking up at me,
He suddenly cries.

"This our world,
just learn to live in it,
even though it may
seem tough and hard.
Bear the scars
Of this unlucky life,
With pride in all the safety
that you bring to those
around you night and day.

My dear, just thinking
Of the good times we shared
Brings a tear, unbidden,
To my dead eyes.
You so bright of sunshine,
Light up my darkness
Everlasting..
Just think of
What you know is true.

You are the sunshine
In my world. You protect

Every creature with
A soul, who lives
In this world that
