Sunnydale.

She read the invitation again.

'You're here by invited to the wedding of Angel McKenna and Kate Lockley'

She couldn't read it further because she let it fall out of her hand. She couldn't believe it. Angel was getting married. To another girl. He didn't love her anymore. He loved another woman.

She collapsed to the floor and started crying.

"Why Angel why? Don't you love me anymore?" she whispered in her suddenly very lonely and empty apartment.

'I have to go to him', she thought. 'I need to know why I'm suddenly not his girl anymore.' She grabbed her keys and walked out of her apartment.

LA

"Cordelia were is the Halmont's file?" He looked at his friend/secretary who was filling her nails.

"Uh let me look" she searches through some files on her desk. "Aha here it is!" she gave him the file.

"Thanks Cordy"

"You're welcome. Oh! What time is it??"

"It's 11 o'clock why??"

"Well I gotta go to an audition. Bye!" And with that she was out of the building.

"Yeah bye" Angel said after her. He turned around and started walking back to his office. "Kate I've got the file so let's get back to business"

"Ok you can do it girl. Just a few more steps." Buffy sighed. She was standing right in front of Angel Investigations. But suddenly she got very freighted because she didn't really want to see Angel with his arms around another woman. "Come on don't be such a baby" And with that she went inside. Cordelia wasn't there. "Good that's one obstacle less to face" She walked towards Angel's office. She looked trough his window. There he was.....with his arms around another woman. "No" She whispered. "NO!" This time it was louder.

Angel looked up and saw Buffy. She had a hurt look in her eyes. She turned around and ran out of the building. "Buffy Oh god" He quickly let go of Kate. And ran after Buffy. Outside he saw her jumping in her car and she immediately drove off. He ran back as fast as he could to get his keys. He knew were she was heading for.

Angel's Mansion.

Buffy opened the door and walked inside. Immediately the memories came washing over her. Her sending Angel to Hell, her helping Angel after he got out of Hell, them training, her seeing him and Faith kiss, him drinking from her. She looked around. The whole place was covered with dust. Nobody had been here for 5 years. She walked into the garden.

Suddenly the dams broke down and she started crying for all that she had lost and what she wouldn't have ever again. "No! Why why??" She couldn't think rationally anymore. "Don't you love me anymore Angel?"

"I do."

She turned around startled. There he was. Angel.

"Angel what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to know why you took of in LA"

"You know why."

"No I don't. Tell me."

"Because I saw that you were happy with someone else."

"With who?"

"With that girl you were holding, Kate I believe."

"Kate?? No Buffy Kate and I are just friends. I was only comforting her because she her father was killed by vampires and she has a hard time dealing with it."

"Don't lie to me Angel I know it isn't true. If your only just friends then why would you send me an invitation to your wedding??"

"Wedding? What invitation? Buffy thrust me. I'm not gonna marry."

"If that's true then who has send the invitation?" Suddenly she realized something. Angel was standing the sunlight and didn't burn.

"Y..you...you..sunlight" she fainted because the emotions were to great to handle.

Angel caught her before she hid the ground and carried her inside towards his old bedroom and laid her on the bed.

When Buffy came around, immediately was Angel around her. "Buffy are you ok?"

"Yeah I think so" Then it came back. Angel ..sun."Angel why didn't you burn early before?"

"Uh."

"You don't wear the Gem of Amara 'coz I don't see it around one of your fingers."

"No I destroyed it."

"Then why didn't you burn?"

"I'm human Buffy, for almost 2 years now."

"You're human?? How?"

"One day I got a visit from the Powers That Be. "

"The Powers That Be? Giles told me about them."

"Anyway they said that I had made amends for every crime I committed as Angelus. They said that I would live the rest of my life like a human only with superhuman strength. It was my reward."

"Oh Angel that's wonderful!!" She hugged him tightly. Then she punched him hard in the face. "You bastard! You've been human for 2 years and you didn't even tell me??"

"Because you had your own life and what I heard from Cordelia. Well she said that you had a boyfriend and that you were happy with him."

"Oh Angel if you had come to tell me that you were human, then I would had dumped him immediately. He was just a nice guy. I pretended to be happy with him because everybody wanted me to. And for awhile I thought I was. But I soon found out that there was only one man that would make me feel whole. You Angel, you're my life, my everything. I love you Angel."

"Oh Buffy. I love you. " He pulled her in his arms and locked his lips to hers and started to kiss her passionately. Buffy responded eagerly. Oh she had missed him so much. She couldn't believe he was here, kissing her. She pulled away slowly.

"What's wrong beloved?"

"Nothing it's just.." She started to sob. "Oh Angel we wasted two years! Two years in which we could had been so happy! Instead we spend them lonely and miserably."

Angel caught the tear that was running down her face gently with his finger. "Hush beloved. No more tears. Yes we wasted two years. But now we won't even waste another minute." He kissed her again while he lifted her up and headed for the bedroom.

A few hours later.

"Hmmm this is nice."

"What is nice love?"

"You and me peacefully lying in bed together. And nothing can ever break us apart ever again."

"Nothing" He kissed her softly.

"Angel I only have one question. Who had send the invitation?"

"I don't know. But we'll find out later" He kissed her again.

Suddenly they were interrupted by Angel's cell phone. "Hmm ignore it please?"

"I can't baby maybe it's important."

"Ok but please set it on hands free will ya?"

"Fine." He grabbed his cell phone and answered it. "Hi Cordy is something wrong.?"

"No not at all! I was just wondering if you and Buffy are back together already."

"How did you know I was here in Sunnydale?"

"Well you left Kate behind, you dumbass! So *I* had to deal with her! Thanks a lot! Anyway she told me that a young blond girl stood in the office but ran away and that you ran after her. So my plan has worked huh?"

"Cordy what plan?" Buffy asked.

"Buffy! How nice to talk to you! How are you? Is everything alright? Oh of course you're alright you're with Angel!"

"I'm fine Cordy. Now what kind of plan are you talking about?"

"Uh the wedding invitation. I send it."

"You send it?! Why?"

"Well I saw how miserable Angel was and I heard from Willow that you weren't doing any better. So I send the invitation in the hope it would mislead you and that you would come to LA to see if it was true. And it worked."

"Cordy normally I would say to mind your own business. But now I would really like to hug you! You are a great friend and I don't know how we could ever thank you."

"Hey I was doing it for myself to! 'Coz Angel was driving me nuts with his brooding!" They all laughed.

"Well Cordy you won't see me brooding any longer. The reason why I was brooding is gone."

They talked for awhile with Cordy and then hung up. They decided to go to the beach to watch the sunset together.

"That Cordy. I never thought she would do something nice for a change." Buffy said as they sat down in the sand, she was leaning against his chest.

"Yeah well she changed a lot since she left Sunnydale."

"I bet. Hmm enough talking about Cordy we can thank her later."

"You're right. Let's talk about us. Like how we're gonna spend the rest of our lives together."

"I got a pretty good idea."

"Tell me."

"Well you and me living in a gorgeous house with a white fence and with our four adoring kids. Now how does that sound?"

"To good to be true. But first things first. I have something I believe is yours." He pulled a ring out of his pocket.

"Oh! My Claddagh ring! Where did you found it?"

"I found it lying in the Mansion on the floor in a corner the day that I left so may years ago. But I didn't think you wanted it back."

"Oh I wanted it so much but I couldn't find it. I thought I lost it forever."

"It's yours again. Buffy will you marry me?"

"Oh Angel Yes! I love you."

"I love you. Put your ring on."

She did. And they sealed their pact right there down in the sand by making love.

So what did ya think of it?? Need sequel or do I need to turn it into a series or should I just leave it here? Please tell me.
