Black nails lashed at me as I ducked and ran. It was too much. Time and time again had I done this very same thing. Hunting for the kill and not for the good. The ecstasy in hearing the blood rush through their veins. It all came back that way. Always did I hunt for the kill.

The wind whispered, the way it could, in a soft serene tone, rushing past my ears as I ran. The screams filled my head like music, making me happy and calm. But then I felt a hand around my neck, and someone turned me around. It was her again, pools of deep blue green staring at me. She wanted me dead.

Muffled screams came from behind. I peered around her to see a woman tied up. I watch as her eyes follow my own, and then I see it. She doesn't want me dead, she wants me dark. She wants her lover, again. As I watch, she dropped the women on the damp cement floor of the alley, and walked up to me. A tingling sensation filled my body, in a way no else could make me feel. Her face became that of a vampires, eyes of stone and only murder as a friend. She was so close to me, I only wanted to grab her, rip her clothes off and fuck her right there and then. But I didn't. I heard a soft voice come out of her mouth.

"If you want me. Do it."

I looked up at her in horror. No. No, I couldn't kill this woman. All I saw on her though, was a small pout, for she knew that I was refusing.

"Kill her. Kill her. Do it for me, Angel. Rip her apart. Do it."

Her ivory face showed a small devious smile. She wore her normal face now. The one I had fallen in love with. No. No. I couldn't. No matter how much I wanted her lips on mine and her body against me, I couldn't kill for her. As if she knew what I was thinking, she gently pressed her lips against mine and I felt her tongue glide into my mouth. I gave in, then. I needed her so bad. I gently started to caress her tongue with my own. My hands roamed her body, as if they had never left. And then the kiss came to an end. I opened my eyes to see her staring at me, then standing on her tip toes to tell me something in my ear.

"You'll do it now? Do it for your love?"

I gazed down at her. She wanted me kill that woman. She was smiling now, for she knew I was going to do it. That kiss had made me hers.

She turned around toward the woman. My vampiric side surfaced. The woman was brought to me and pushed into my arms, her head turned to the side, exposing her neck. I looked up toward my only love, and all she did was nod. Slowly I bent down and dug my fangs into the woman's neck. The taste of the blood filled my mouth and I took that first sallow, savoring every drop it. As I drank I heard my love giggling in the background. So sweet.

I dropped the woman on the ground, for there was no blood left in her body. I de-vamped while she walked toward me and stopped in front of me, lifting my head that was tilted toward the ground. A small smile graced her face, for she was satisfied. She moved closer, standing on her tip toes once again, and licked the blood left in the corners of my mouth and on my lips. I felt myself moan with pleasure. I pulled her into my arms as my lips went crashing into her, in a frenzy of wanting and needing. I heard soft moans coming out from deep within her throat.

In the midst of our passion, I pulled a stake out from my jacket. I couldn't let her keep killing. I stopped kissing her and backed off. A questioning look appeared on her face.

"Angel?" she whispered.

I plunged the stake into her heart, going against what my heart was telling me. I watched as she combusted into dust, her eyes looking at me with fake sorrow, for this girl didn't have the real kind anymore, that was already dead. Ash filled the air and gently fell towards the ground. I stood there for five minutes, just staring at it. I dropped the stake where her ash was, and turned around, walking down and out of the alley to the melancholy streets of L.A. My heart ached for her, but I knew what I did was right. I got rid of the demon that wore my love's face. She could really rest at peace now, and so could I. She was watching me though, in her own way, keeping me safe in my reality. Buffy would be in my dreams, where all the things we couldn't have would come true.
