Memories Are Forever

DISCLAIMER: If I actually owned these characters would I be doing this to them? I don't think so. Anyway, Joss owns all characters and I own the storyline (part of it, anyway). Yada, yada, yada. On with the story.
TIMELINE: 4th Season
SPOILERS: IWRY
DISTRIBUTION: Gotta let me know
AUTHOR'S NOTES: I was sorta bored and after doing nothing for an hour I decided to just write something, so here it is. A bit short, and maybe sorta dumb, but it's to the point (I think).
FEEDBACK: As long as it's good or helps me with my writing, it's wanted!!!
RATING: Probably G or PG, I'm not sure

Angel watched as Buffy cried to the knowledge that their happiness would be lost forever. His humanity would be taken away and he would once again be a vampire with a soul. He watched as the clock slowly ticked its way to the hour. He closed his eyes as everything slowly dissolved into silver light.

"…So then, lets just stick to the plan."

Angel looked around. He was back in his office before Maura came. Buffy was standing there hypnotized as words flooded out of her mouth.

"We'll keep our distance until a lot of time has passed. Given enough time we should be able to…"

"Forget?" Angel looked at her sadly.

"No."

Angel looked at her strangely. She wasn't supposed to say that.

"What?" he asked.

"I didn't forget."

He was about to ask about what when Maura came crashing through the window. Damn demon. Angel grabbed his clock and ducked as Maura swung at him and hit him on the jewel with the clock. Maura screamed and disappeared.

Angel turned to Buffy who was looking around.

"Didn't forget about what?" asked Angel.

"Our lost day," Buffy said looking at him. She smiled teasingly and said, "I told you I wouldn't forget!"

He smiled slightly and sat down at the chair by his desk. Buffy looked at him strangely and said, "What's wrong, Angel?"

Angel looked at her. He looked at her, memorizing what she looked like. She would leave him, like she said.

Angel opened his mouth to answer when Doyle barged into the room, looking frantic.

"What is it Doyle?" asked Angel annoyed.

"I had vision- and in the street no less," he muttered. "It had a warlock who was tryin' to take your soul away."

Buffy raised an eyebrow.

"And this has to do with Angel, why?"

"I'm not done yet," Doyle said. He continued, "He was tryin' to take your soul away, but he couldn't. So he shouts out 'His soul is his!' So, in other words, you keep your soul. No 'moment of happiness' to take it away."

Buffy smiled happily and grabbed Angel's hand, pulling him out of his chair and kissing him. Angel happily kissed her back, his hands finding purchase on her hips. Buffy smiled against his mouth and pulled herself free. She grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the office, to the elevator.

"Uh, Buffy?" Angel asked.

"Hmm?"

"Where are we going?"

"To try out that non-claused curse of yours."

Angel smiled as they both distended into his basement apartment.

Doyle grinned at Cordelia who walked in to the office spell bound and asked, "What's got them so happy?"

"Ya'know that curse of Angel's?"

"Yeah…"

"It ain't got a clause anymore."

Cordelia sighed and said, "I can just imagine what they're doing down there."

Cordelia followed Doyle's gaze to the floor as they both heard giggles coming up under the floorboards.
