The true heroes of the Buffyverse are finally coming home.

The closer I get to her
The more that I can feel.
Our souls searching for their other half
The only one that can make us real.

Too long apart from my only love
Too long without her healing touch.
I walked away for her own good
But it didn't help either of us very much.

The memory of a day
That I alone was allowed to keep.
Sometimes it was my solace in the darkness
Sometimes the beauty of it made me weep.

She died and I thought the darkness
Had taken my soul and left me to bleed.
But I kept going by repressing it all
She was my light, my truth, my need.

Then she came back to this earth
A wall between us we could not breach.
We let the thought of more pain
Put us far from each other's reach.

Then our lives took some turns
That neither of us could have forseen.
Sometimes the darkness overtook us
Sometimes a light could be seen.

Now a door closes on the past - though
It will always be part of who we are.
It is time to walk thru another door
It is time to wish upon a star.

And my dream is when I touch her
When our souls finally come home.
Never more to be apart
Never more to be alone.

My heart beats in my chest
Is it her dream or is it mine.
Her kisses are like the nectar
Of the finest, sweetest wine.

My body, mind, heart and soul
Has endured an endless ache for so many years.
She gives me ease, she gives me peace
She alone can take away the tears.

A happy future lies before us
And now it is one destiny to fulfill.
We are one, we are together
All is quiet – all is still.
