Our journeys took us away
And kept us alone and apart.
Soon two souls will be as one

The twists and turns of life
The sorrow and joy of every day.
I thought death was my gift
I thought happiness too far away.

His life was no dream
Though some of his dreams came true.
When reality and nightmares merge
Regrets are quite more then a few.

So many choices to make
Too many times the road was wrong.
And then the battle we had to fight
Was uphill and endlessly long.

Instead of turning to each other
We tried to make it on our own.
Too late we learned that lesson
That you reap from what you have sown.

But now a light has appeared
And the tunnel is no longer dark.
The beauty of our surroundings

Our bodies tremble with our need
