Part 1

Sarah awoke to the sound of her alarm clock. She reached out and shut it off. Opening her eyes she realized she wasn't at home. She was at the Buffy set, in Buffy's bed. "Good going Sarah, you fell asleep on the set," she scolded herself. Yawning, she sat up. "Better get to my trailer and freshen up before anyone discovers how big an idiot I am."

The door to the room opened and Aly walked in, wearing pajamas. "Hey Aly. Why are you in p.j.'s? I don't remember that in the script." Sarah then glanced at Aly's feet. "What's with the pink slippers?"

"Buffy what are you talking about? Why did you call me Aly? And the script?" Walking over to Sarah, she placed her hand on her forehead. "Are you feeling okay? Do you feel sick?"

"No, Aly, I'm fine." Sarah's eyes shot around the room. Where were the cameras? The crew members? 'That's strange,' she thought. "Wait a minute. Did you just call me Buffy?"

"Yeah silly, that's your name. Why are you calling me Aly? I'm Willow, remember? Willow. Do you have amnesia?" Willow looked at her friend. Buffy looked confused, and sorta lost.

"I don't have amnesia. My name is Sarah, not Buffy. I only play Buffy on the show. What is this a joke?" She looked at Willow. "Did Nick put you up to this? Or was it David?"

"Joke? Who's Nick and David? I don't know them. Buffy, this is not like you. Maybe we should go see Giles." Willow started to change into some regular clothes. "He might know why you think you are someone else."

"Giles? Oh, you mean Tony. I'm not someone else, I'm me, Sarah."

"Buffy, will you stop this? You're scaring me." Willow gave her a worried look.

Sarah couldn't believe it. It was as if she really was Buffy. What if, she was now. God, this was confusing! 'Play along,' her head said to her, 'pretend you're Buffy. Then you can figure out what's going on. You don't want everyone to think you're insane.' Sarah started laughing. "I got you Will. I had you going for a little while, didn't I?"

"That wasn't a very funny joke?" Willow replied.

"Okay, I know. I suck with making jokes, but aren't you glad, I really don't think I'm Sarah." 'You're doing good. Just act like Buffy.' She told herself. 'Great, I have to act like her. Note to self, if I ever get out of here yell at Joss for making Buffy so bitchy this season.'

"Are you sure you're okay, Buff?"

"Definitely. I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, I gotta a class to get to. I'll see you later." Willow left, leaving Sarah by herself.

"Well what should I do now? Maybe I'll go for a walk just to be sure this is really Sunnydale, and not the set." She grabbed a jacket and hurried out the door.

She wandered around the campus. It was really Sunnydale. She kept walking around, hoping to catch a glimpse of reality. She wasn't watching where she was going. She ran right into someone. She looked up at him. "David," she said before thinking. 'His name is Angel. This is Buffy world.' "Umm… Sorry, I meant Angel."

He gave her a strange look then said, "Sarah? Is it you?"

"David?!" she yelped before launching herself into his arms. She hugged onto him, and he held her tight.

"Oh God, Sarah I'm so glad it's you and not Buffy. What happened? Why are we here in this… in this dimension or whatever? And not in the real world?"

"I don't know." David put his arms down, making her leave the safety of his arms. "I woke up in Buffy's bed. And Aly was all like I'm Willow, and you're Buffy."

"Same with Charisma. She thinks I'm crazy." David looked up at the sun. "I definitely freaked her out when I walked out into the sunlight."

"That's right, Angel's a vampire, and you are obviously not him." She laughed. "Or else I'd be talking to a pile of dust by now."

He laughed too. "I just have one question. How in the hell do we get out of here?"

"That is one question, that I don't have an answer to." Sarah looked at him. "Listen, I think we should just play along, as if we are Buffy and Angel, until we figure out how to get back home. We don't want to be committed to a loony bin or anything."

"But Sarah, it's going to be hard for me to be a vampire, when I'm not. And you have to be a slayer with super powers. I mean what if some big evil comes to play? Then what do we do? Get ourselves killed?"

"I don't know, David! I really don't." Sarah was extremely confused. Why did this have to happen? Then a thought entered her mind. "David, if we're here. Do you think that Buffy and Angel are there? Where we should be?"

"Maybe. I guess that could be what happened. But there is still one other problem with that."

"I know, Angel will burst into flames, and that would give Joss a heart attack. I wish I was there to see-"

"Not that Sarah," he interrupted her. "Buffy and Angel don't exist. We portray them on television. They are not real."

"But what if they are?" Sarah asked. "It could be possible. I mean this doesn't exist." She motioned to their surroundings. "Yet we are here. Maybe this is just a dream. Maybe we'll wake up in our own bed, and everything will be back to normal." She burst into tears. David's arms once again enveloped her in a hug. He pulled her close and kissed the top of her forehead.

"It'll be okay Sarah. We will figure this out. I promise you." Sarah looked up at him with tear filled eyes.

"You won't leave me here alone. Will you?" she questioned in a quivering voice.

"Don't even think that. I'll be right here with you. You know that I love you, and won't let anything happen to you. Right?"

She looked into his eyes, a small smile crept across her face. "I know. I love you too. Let's not leave each other's side while we are here. Okay?"

"Anything for you, honey. I'm not going anywhere." He gently wiped the tears from her eyes. He leaned down and tenderly kissed her lips. She kissed him back. Each reveling in the comfort of the kiss.

Off a little distance, a very furious Riley watched on. His girlfriend was kissing her ex-boyfriend. Who happened to be a vampire, but was in the sunlight, and was not bursting into flames like he should have been. 'What is going on,' Riley thought. 'I'm going to kill that vampire. Who cares if he can be in the sunlight? No one messes with my girl.'

Part 2

Buffy's alarm clock woke her up. "Damn, it's way too early," she said as she turned it off. She felt a warm body next to her. She snuggled closer, 'I didn't think I went to Riley's.' As here vision came more into focus, she realized that she didn't recognize the room at all. It wasn't hers or Riley's. 'Strange,' she thought. 'I better wake up Riley.' Turning over she saw that she was next to, "Angel!" she shrieked waking him up.

"Buffy! What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here?"

Angel looked around, "Where is here?"

"I don't know, that's besides the point. What are you doing in bed with me?"

"Believe me when I say I have no idea."

"Angel… or should I say Angelus-"

"Hold on just a second," Angel interrupted her. "I am not Angelus. I didn't have sex with you."

"Then what are you doing here?"

"I already told you, I don't know."

The phone rang, disturbing their conversation. The answering machine picked up, "Sarah, David, are you there? Joss is going to kill you too, you are so late." It sounded like Willow. "Hey Aly." A voice similar to Xander's said in the background. "Nick shut up, I'm on the phone. You guys better pull yourselves out of bed, and get over to the set. We have to start filming this Buffy and Angel crossover you two wanted so much. I gotta go. See you soon."

"Was that Willow?" Angel asked.

"I think so, but Nick or whatever, who sounded like Xander, called her Aly." Buffy replied.

"Who are Sarah and David?"

"What like I have all the answers? Well, I don't. I have no idea who they are."

"She said they were filming the Buffy and Angel crossover."

"I heard that you know, I'm not deaf." She snapped.

"Why are you acting like this?"

"Like what?"

"So stuck up, so Cordelia like?"

"I am not." Buffy said. 'Good one Buffy, reply like a six year old.'

Once again they were interrupted. This time by a car horn. Without thinking, Angel looked out the window. Sunlight flooded the room. He flinched at it, but felt no pain. "Umm… Buffy?"

"What?"

"Something else is different." He pulled back the curtain more, so sunlight covered him. "I'm human."

"Human." She repeated.

"The sun is not killing me. And maybe it's because we have been fighting the whole time, but I just realized that I'm kind of breathing."

The car honked it's horn again. "Do you think it's waiting for us?" Buffy asked.

"There's only one way to find out," he said as he grabbed her hand and started to lead her out of the room.

"Wait," she stopped him. "I think maybe we should consider getting dressed first." Both of them were in p.j.'s.

"That might be a good idea." He agreed.

Looking in the closet they each found clothes, and quickly changed into them.

They went outside to meet the car. The driver opened the door for them. "Finally," he said. "I have been waiting for over ten minutes. Joss is beyond pissed with you two. He sent me to get you two to the set, since you have decided to not show up. There is a deadline you know."

"We know." Buffy agreed with him. Angel gave her a look. She just shrugged. They both got into the car.

"What are we going to do?" Angel questioned.

"I don't know. Pretend we are Sarah and David."

"Who are they?"

"I don't know exactly. But they are obviously a couple."

"So are we going to act like a couple then?

"I guess. Can you handle that? It's not like we don't know how to be one."

"I can handle that." He thought for a moment. "Do you think that we switched places with Sarah and David, and they are now Buffy and Angel."

"It could happen. I mean I do live on a Hellmouth. Where anything can happen."

"Maybe this explains, why I'm human." Angel stated.

"What do you mean?"

"Maybe in this world, there's no such thing as vampires or something. And since David wasn't a vampire maybe I'm not either."

The arrived at the set, where they were greeted by a very angry man, which they assumed to be Joss. "What do you two think you are doing. Thanks to you guys we are an hour behind schedule. Sarah get to make-up now. And David, you and Marc should rehearse your lines."

"Lines?" Angel asked.

"Don't play dumb with me. What? You don't know your lines?" he looked over at Buffy. "I thought I told you to get to make-up."

"I'm going. Umm… where would that be?" Buffy wondered.

Joss pointed over to a trailer. "What is with you two today? You act like you have never done this before. Sarah get to make-up NOW!"

"Gone." She snapped at him.

"David, do you know your lines or what?" Angel gave Joss a blank look, so he continued, "There is a reason why you get your script in advance, and that is to learn your lines."

"I know them," Angel lied. "But could I just have a copy of the script to make sure I got them right."

"Fine here." Joss handed him a packet of papers. "We are filming scenes seven and eight today, just in case you have forgotten that too. I'm going to go talk to Sarah, and see if she's also memorized her lines as well as you. Now Marc is on scene, go find him." And with that he went off to the make-up trailer.

"Marc. Who's Marc?" Flipping through the script, he found scene seven. It was with Angel and Riley. "Riley. Great. I'm definitely going to love this. Oh, right. He's not really Riley, he's Marc." Doing a quick once over of the script, he realized that the character of Angel was very much like him. "Is mine and Buffy's life a television series?" he questioned to no one.

Part 3

Sarah pulled back from David's warm kisses. "What's the matter Sarah?" he asked her. He cupped her chin in his hand, making her look him in the eye.

"What are we going to do? I want to go back home. I'm so scared right now."

"You don't have to worry. We will get out of here, I swear." He kissed the top of her head. "We should go talk to Giles. Maybe he can figure this out."

"What are we going to say to him? Hi, I'm Sarah and this is David. We may look like Buffy and Angel, but we just play them on t.v., and hey you're in the show too. I don't think he'll buy it."

"We have to do something. He might be the only one who can help us. Okay?" Sarah nodded in agreement, and together they headed for Giles' apartment.

Sarah knocked on the door, not sure if she wanted anyone to answer. "We're lucky that Sunnydale is like how the set is, or we might have never have made it here so soon." She said to David.

"Yeah," he replied as the door opened.

"Buffy, what are you doing here?" Giles asked her. Then he noticed Angel, "Why are you in Sunnydale, Angel? Is there trouble?" The sun was shining down on him, "Angel, why aren't you, well you know, a pile of dust?"

"Giles, we need your help." David said avoiding Giles' questions.

"Yes of course. Please come in."

Sarah and David entered the small apartment. Spike was on the couch watching some soap opera. He turned around long enough to give them both a once over, before turning back his attention to the television. Still focused on the show he asked, "What's peaches doing here?"

"We need to explain something to you guys." Sarah said walking in front of Spike and turning the t.v. off.

"Hey, I was watching that." Spike threw a handful of M&Ms at her.

"Spike, I have told you before, no throwing food." Giles scolded.

"I know, but she turned off the Tele."

"Spike, shut-up. We need to talk to you." Sarah was getting fed up with Spike's crap.

"I'd like to see you make me goldie locks. I can take you in an instant."

Sarah burst out laughing, "Take me where? It's not like you can actually beat me up. You're neutered remember? You have that chip in your heard."

"That's enough you two," Giles said to stop their argument. "You two are acting like kindergartners." Giles took a seat next to Spike on the couch. "Now, what do you need my help with?"

David took a seat in the chair next to the couch, and without even thinking he pulled Sarah onto his lap. They got strange looks from both Spike and Giles. David ignored them. "We're not Buffy and Angel," he stated.

Spike found this hilarious, he burst out laughing. "That's a good one. And we're not Spike and Giles, we're… we're power rangers," he joked.

"Spike!" Giles warned shutting him up. "What do you mean you're not Buffy and Angel?"

"I'm Sarah and this is David. And we are not from this reality. We think that we switched worlds with Buffy and Angel."

"We both are in television shows-"

"Television shows? Really? How come I've never seen you in one?" Spike interrupted. He got nasty looks from all three of them. "Sorry. Don't act like you all got a bug up your butts."

David continued, "She plays Buffy on her show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I play Angel, I used to be on Buffy but now I'm on, well, Angel which is a spin-off of the other show."

"Life here is what it's like on the shows. You two are both in it. Giles, Tony plays you and James is Spike. Willow, Xander, Cordelia, Riley, they are all in the show. This morning I woke up, and I was here in Sunnydale, which isn't even a real town. We don't know how we got here or anything. We want to go home, we want to switch with Buffy and Angel. That's where you come in. Will you help us?" Sarah finished.

"Well, that's quite a story." Giles said.

"It's not a story," Sarah confirmed. "I wish it was, but it's not." She looked at David. "You have to believe us. See you saw that David is human, Angel's a vamp. Plus Buffy and Angel aren't together."

"And you are?" Spike asked with raised eyebrows.

"Sorta." Sarah answered.

"What does sorta mean?" Spike persisted.

David brushed back a piece of hair that had fallen across Sarah's face, "We're friends. Close friends."

"Sure you are. Spike snorted. "Friends don't act like that."

"James… I mean Spike, this is not about mine and David's relationship, this is about us switching back with the real Buffy and Angel."

"Giles?" David inquired.

"I've never really heard of this happening before. I must consult my books. And pray that no big evil comes to town. I don't know what we'd do without a slayer." Giles answered.

"David can I talk to you?" Sarah questioned. The looking at Spike said, "In private."

"Sure." Sarah got off of her perch on David's lap, and led him outside. They both sat down on a bench.

"What is it Sarah?"

"What's going on?"

"Well, Giles is going to try to help us get back-"

"No," she interrupted. "Not with that. With us."

"Us?"

"Yeah, I mean what are we friends? Close friends? A couple? What?"

"I'm not sure."

"Well get sure. We kiss. We spend the night at each other's houses. Our friends even know about this. We say we love each other. So where does that put us?"

He pulled her close, "Where do you want to put us?"

"She put her forehead against his chest, "I love you, David. I want to be able to say that we are more then just friends. I want to be able to introduce you as my boyfriend. I want you to always be with me." She started to cry.

David wiped the tears from her eyes, "For the longest time, I've wanted to hear you say that."

Sarah lifted her head, and looked in his eyes, "Wanted to hear what? I've said I love you before."

"I've wanted to hear you say, that you want me. Because I want you Sarah. I want to be able to claim you as mine."

He saw her eyes fill with joy, making him smile. She threw her arms around him, and kissed him hard on the lips.

Inside, Spike was looking out of the corner of the window at them. "Friends my ass. Those two are a couple of love birds."

"Spike, will you stop spying on them, and help me out." Giles urged. "We need to figure out how to get Buffy and Angel back here, and Sarah and David back to where they came from. We have no idea how Buffy and Angel are fairing in the other world. In Sarah and David's lives. We must research on how to fix this." Spike just took a seat on the couch. "If you won't help with the research, at least call the others and explain what is going on. Tell them to get over here, and help out. Oh, and you should probably call Cordelia in L.A., she's probably wondering what happened to Angel."

Spike rolled his eyes, "Bloody hell, what am I a slave?" But he picked up the phone and dialed anyway.

Giles glanced outside at the two. It was obvious they were a couple. That would mean that people would expect Buffy and Angel to be one wherever they were. God, all this could mean big trouble.

Part 4

Buffy was actually enjoying herself. Someone was doing her make-up and hair, and she didn't have to do it herself. 'I could get used to this,' she thought. She watched as a very angry Joss entered the trailer. Buffy smiled, thinking that it was an action Sarah might do.

"What are you smiling about?" Joss greeted her. Buffy's smile immediately disappeared. "Did you learn your lines? Or are you like David, who seems oblivious to what he was supposed to do?"

"Umm…" Buffy didn't know what to say. She definitely didn't know the lines.

"That's what I thought." He handed her a script; "You're lucky you only have to know scene eight today. David has to learn both seven and eight. Now get memorizing. I have to go see what David is up to." Buffy heard him mutter as he left the trailer, "This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't date a costar, both are never prepared. Especially when they are the ones that wanted to do a crossover. Last time I'll bend over backwards for those two."

Buffy instantly felt sorry for Sarah and David. Having to work with that man everyday would have to be hell. 'I'd rather slay vampires,' she said to herself. She opened the script, 'Like I'll ever be able to learn this. I can barely remember the capital of California, and now I have to commit to memory all this in such a short time. Fun.'

Angel was fairing far worse then Buffy was. It had taken him awhile, but he had finally found Marc. All he could think though was this is Riley, I hate him. He had to fight the urge to hit the guy. 'Remember, he's not Riley, he's Marc. Joss is the one who wrote the character of Riley. Hate him.' Angel was having a hard time memorizing the lines. He didn't understand why he couldn't learn his lines; he was going to be playing himself. He read them over and over again. He looked up to see Joss walking towards Marc and him. 'Great.'

"David do you know your lines yet?" Joss asked.

"I think I got them in my head pretty well." Angel lied.

Joss glanced at Marc questionably. "He does know them." Marc covered for him.

"Okay then. Both of you should head to make-up. I want to be able to start filming this scene, in precisely one hour." Joss stated.

"Make-up?" Angel inquired.

"Yes, make-up. Why are you acting like you've never done this before? Now go." Joss commanded.

Marc immediately started walking, and Angel followed behind him. "Riley… err… Marc, thanks for doing that back there, covering for me."

"Not a problem, but you better know those lines in an hour, or Joss will have your head as well as mine." Marc replied.

On the way to the make-up trailer, they passed Buffy. "Hey Sarah," Marc greeted her.

"Hi umm…" 'Great I don't know his name. Think. What is Riley's name here?' she looked at Angel.

"Me and Marc were just headed for make-up." Angel said quickly. Buffy flashed him a smile of thanks.

Marc walked past Buffy and into the trailer. "You coming David?" he asked.

"Just a sec." Angel replied.

Buffy and Angel watched as Marc went inside. "God, Angel, this is so hard. I can't learn these lines by heart in the next hour. I'm supposed to practice them with Joss right now. And I don't know any of them."

"At least you don't have to learn two scenes in the next hour."

Buffy gave him a sympathetic look. "I don't know how Sarah and David can stand this. Joss is a nightmare!"

"It's their job. They are probably used to him by now."

"You're right," she agreed. "I just want to go back home, to Sunnydale."

Without a second thought, he wrapped his arms around her. "We'll figure out how to get back, I promise."

"But what if we can't?"

"We will. Giles will try to get us back."

"How will he know that we're gone?"

"Sarah and David probably are there, and they'll go to him for help. If they aren't there, he'll know something is up, when you're not around. It'll be okay."

Buffy saw Joss walking towards them over Angel's shoulder. "Evil alert." Angel gave her a look. "Joss."

"Oh. I probably better get inside make-up."

"Yeah. I'll see you soon. Right?"

"Of course." Angel answered her. He leaned down and gave her lips a quick kiss. Buffy was caught off guard by his action. Angel could tell she was stunned by the kiss. "We're a couple. Remember?"

"Right." She put her hand behind his head, and pulled him down for another kiss. The kiss felt warm on Buffy's lips. She loved how good Angel felt when he was warm. She didn't want this kiss to end. And as Angel tightened his grip on her, she knew he felt the same way. Buffy's thoughts ran wild. 'In this reality, you and Angel can be together. No consequences. I'm going to like it here.'

By this time Joss had reached the two. "Sorry to interrupt you two," he said sarcastically, "but we do have work to do." Buffy and Angel pulled apart reluctantly.

Angel left for the trailer. He turned around, and gently touched Buffy's face. "I'll see you soon." She kissed his hand, and then he went inside.

Buffy couldn't help but smile. Maybe her and Angel would stay together. And if they couldn't get back to Sunnydale, at least they'd be together. Her thoughts were broken by Joss.

"Come on Sarah, let's go over your lines." Joss motioned for her to follow him. They walked to a room that was exactly like her dorm room. Buffy stood in awe. She couldn't believe it, how did they know what her room looked like?

Buffy practiced her lines with Joss, and not long after she watched Angel film a scene with Marc. Then the three of them had a scene together. The characters were extremely like her, Angel, and Riley. It seemed like forever to get the scenes completed. They must have done over eighty different takes. She was sure it was probably more though, because she lost track after twenty. Finally, Joss was satisfied with their acting, and called it a day. Buffy wished that she had gotten to meet Aly and Nick, to see if they looked like Willow and Xander, but they had finished their scenes before her and Angel had arrived.

The same guy that had driven them to the set drove them back to the house. Neither of them knew whose home it was exactly. If it was David's or Sarah's, or both for that matter.

"I'm hungry," Buffy stated once they were in the house.

Angel looked through the cabinets; "I'll make us something."

"You can cook?" she asked surprised.

"Yeah, I have to cook for Cordelia, after every time we fight a demon."

"What fun that must be."

"Actually, I don't mind. I kind of like to cook. I'm pretty good at it."

"The perfect man."

"Huh?" Angel questioned, confused.

"You can cook, you're a fabulous kisser, and you are extremely hot." Angel blushed at her words, making Buffy smile. "You are so cute when you blush," she joked.

Buffy enjoyed the wonderful meal that Angel made for them. She helped him clean up after themselves. Then a thought entered her mind. "Angel?"

"Hmm?"

"You're human."

"Yeah." He wondered what that mind of hers was coming up with.

"I was thinking…"

"About what?"

"Since you're human that means that we can…" she trailed off. Angel looked at her; he knew exactly what she was getting at. Before he even fully thought it over he went over to Buffy and pulled her in his arms. He kissed her passionately. Buffy jumped up, her legs wrapped around his waist. He carried her, not breaking the kiss, into the bedroom. They had to make up for lost time.

Part 5

Sarah and David finally reentered Giles' apartment.

"About time," Spike greeted them; "I was beginning to think that you two were attached at the lips."

The couple's cheeks blushed a bright red.

"Giles," Spike called, "They're back. Oh, and I called everyone like you asked. Willow, Xander and Anya, Cordelia, and Riley."

"You called Riley?" Sarah asked.

"What? I wasn't supposed to call him?" Spike asked dumbfounded.

"How are we going to explain this to him? He thinks that I'm his girlfriend. Spike, can you possibly make matters worse then they are right now?"

Spike smirked, "Slayer's going to get it."

"I am not the slayer." Sarah stated, "but either way I could kick your ass."

"You two, are as bad as Buffy and Spike in a room together." Giles said entering the room.

"Did you find anything?" David questioned.

"I found this," he replied, handing David a book.

"Can it help us?" Sarah asked.

"It could, but…" Giles trailed off.

"But what?" Sarah urged him on. She took a seat on the arm of the chair that David was in. She looked over his shoulder at the book. "What's the problem with it?"

"It doesn't say how we can reverse the realities. It only explains that this is a very unlikely occurrence, and that there is no record of it ever happening before." Giles clarified.

"Meaning that Sarah and I may never be able to switch back." David concluded.

"Precisely. But this is just a tiny setback. I will continue to research this, and once the others arrive, they will help out also." Giles said.

"I don't want to be stuck here," Sarah spoke up. "Don't get me wrong, you are nice people and all. But I want to be able to get back home. I want to be able to see my family and friends again."

"You will Sarah, we'll figure out how to get back. We got here somehow, there must be a way to go back." David comforted her. He pulled her into his lap, and held her tight.

"Get a room," Spike muttered. He got glares from both David and Giles. "What? Those two are making me bloody sick."

"Spike, if you can't stand them, then leave, nobody's stopping you. It's not like you're actually contributing anything helpful." Spike crossed his arms, and slouched down on the couch. "Very well then. This is what I think. Once we discover how you two got here in the first place, we may be able to figure out, how to get you back."

"But we have no idea how this happened." David confirmed.

"Yes, that is why we will continue to investigate this." Giles said.

The door opened, and Willow, Xander, and Anya entered. They all seemed shocked, when they saw whom they presumed to be Buffy and Angel, cuddling in the chair.

Anya was the first to speak, "What's tall dark and handsome doing here?"

"Anya…" Xander chided.

"What? We were all wondering the same thing." She said. "I just asked first."

Then Riley entered. "Hey, what do you need my help…" he stopped when he saw Sarah and David snuggling. "What the hell are you doing with my girl.?"

Sarah pulled herself out of David arms and stood face to face with Riley, "I am not your girl."

"What, you're his? I think not. First, you don't show up for our date at the Bronze tonight, and now you say that you are not my girl."

"That's right Riley, I'm not."

"He's a vampire for godsake, he probably just wants you for sex, so he can go evil, and kill you."

He had reached the end of Sarah's straw. She punched him hard, smack dab in the face. "No one says that about my boyfriend. No one."

"Hey, I was just stating the truth." This earned him another punch.

"I may not be a slayer, but I can still beat the crap out of you." She continued to hit him. Tears were pouring down her face. She felt strong arms wrap around her, and she was pulled away from Riley.

David turned her around to face him. "Shh, baby it'll be alright." He hugged her tight. She cried against his chest, letting her emotions gush out.

Riley in the mean time, got up off the ground. "I'm going to kill you, vampire."

Spike started laughing. "Good luck there, fishboy. He's not a vampire, he's not even Angel. And listen to this one. She's not even Buffy."

"What are you talking about?" Riley ordered.

"None of your business." Spike taunted.

"It is my business."

"No it's not." David said harshly. "You better leave now, before I go after you myself."

Riley looked around at the others, waiting for someone to speak up for him. It was hopeless. With slumped shoulders he walked out the door.

"Can someone please explain what's going on?" Xander questioned.

"Giles?" David looked to him for help. He was still holding Sarah.

Giles informed the three of them, what exactly was going on. They all were rather stunned by the explanation. David saw Willow give them a pitying glance.

"This explains why she thought I was Aly this morning, and that she was Sarah. She told me it was all a joke." Willow said.

Sarah finally stopped crying. She wiped away her tears. "It wasn't a joke, I'm Sarah."

Willow walked over and gave her a hug. "We'll help. Don't worry, everything will be alright."

Sarah stifled a yawn, hoping no one would notice, but Giles did, "You two are probably tired. Why don't you go upstairs and get some rest."

Sarah nodded. David mouthed, "Thank you." And led his lover up to the bedroom.

The rest of them looked through countless books. "Giles?" Willow asked, "Do you think that we will ever get Buffy and Angel back?"

"I hope so. We're going to need a slayer."

"Giles, it's not just about needing a slayer," Xander spoke. "But we want the Buffster back. We miss her." Willow and Anya both nodded. Spike just rolled his eyes.

"I'm well aware of that. I miss her as well. She's like a daughter to me, and I do want her back in Sunnydale." Giles said close to tears himself.

They all went back to researching. Every one of them was in complete silence. They knew that if they couldn't find anything, then they may never see Buffy again. They were even beginning to miss Angel.

After about an hour, Giles finally spoke up, "I'm going to go check on Sarah and David. Make sure they're alright." The others nodded.

He made his way up the stairs. They were both asleep. David was holding Sarah tight in his arms. Giles smiled at the couple. 'They are definitely in love,' he thought. 'They don't seem to be having much fun in Sunnydale. I wonder how Buffy and Angel are fairing in the other reality?' He glanced at the sleeping pair once more, then headed back downstairs. 'I need to find a way to fix this.'

Part 6

Buffy awoke the next morning, feeling revived and restful. She couldn't help, but smile. The past night had been so perfect. As much as she missed her friends and family back in Sunnydale, she loved being here with a very human Angel. She turned to face him, only to find that he wasn't next to her. Buffy started to panic. What if the curse still held, and he lost his soul? Her fears were soon put at ease, when Angel entered the bedroom, carrying a tray.

"Angel, thank God."

He leaned down and kissed her, "What is it?"

"I woke up, and you weren't here. I thought you had…well…you know."

"Don't worry, I'm not going any where." He watched as Buffy smiled. "I made you breakfast." Angel placed the tray he was carrying on the bed. It held pancakes, eggs, toast, and orange juice.

"You made this all for me?" she asked. Angel nodded. "I can't eat all this." He produced two forks. She grinned.

They spent the entire morning feeding each other, kissing, and cuddling. Neither of them wanted this to end. The both were filled with pure happiness. They could truly be a normal couple, never have to worry about vampires and demons again.

"What time do we have to be at the set?" Buffy inquired as Angel massaged her feet.

"Today's our day off." Angel answered.

"Well, then what are we going to do with ourselves?" she said seductively.

"Oh, I can think of a few things." He replied, as he started to leave a trail of kisses from her foot all the way to her lips. Buffy let out a sigh of pleasure, as Angel crawled on top of her. "I love you," he whispered to her.

"I love you." She said back.

***

Later that day, they decided that they would actually leave the bedroom, and spend sometime looking around L.A. They found that it was very familiar to that in their reality.

Buffy convinced Angel to take her shopping. "It's not like I'm going to buy anything, I just want to look around."

"Yeah, and then I'll be broke by the end of the day. Besides, Buffy, when we go back to Sunnydale, you probably won't be keeping anything you buy."

"I know, but please, can we just look around?" She gave him her best pouty lip look.

"Now, how am I going to say no to that?"

She smiled, "Good, now let's go." She pulled him into the nearest store. "Angel, we should get bathing suits, so we can go to the beach."

"Do we have to?" he whined.

"Don't be a baby. Besides it won't kill you to get a little sun."

"Funny."

"What? Oh, no pun intended. You're so pale, you would look way fine with a tan." She teased.

"Okay, how much is this going to cost me?"

"Not much." He gave her a look, "Not too much," she corrected herself. "I promise."

"Excuse me," came a voice from behind.

Buffy and Angel turned to face a woman that was in maybe her early forties. The lady spoke to them as if she was in awe, "That's what I thought. You two are Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz." They nodded.

"Now we know our last times," Buffy whispered to Angel. He chuckled.

"I'm Fiona Haliwell. I own this store. And I must say, I think you two are the first celebrities, I have ever had in this store. What can I help you with?"

"We're looking for bathing suits." Buffy stated.

"Right this way." The followed Fiona to a couple of racks of swim suits.

"Thanks for you help, ma'am." Angel said.

"Not a problem. Tell you what. Since you guys our my first real celebrity customers, this purchase will be on me."

"Really?" Buffy asked.

"Yes, really. Once you have decided on what you want, just come see me at the desk."

"Okay. Thank you so much." Buffy gratefully thanked her. Fiona walked off, leaving Buffy and Angel to look at the suits. "See, Angel, now we don't have to spend any of your money. We're big stars here."

Buffy picked out a beautiful blue bikini for herself. Then found a pair of black swim trunks for a hesitant Angel. They went to Fiona, who thanked them for coming into her store. She asked if she could have her picture taken with them. They agreed.

Fiona looked like she was in heaven. "I am such a big fan of your shows. Do you have any news of maybe a Buffy and Angel reunion? I hate Buffy being with Riley. He's such an idiot."

Buffy almost yelled at her, but Angel spoke first, "Not that we know of. That's up to the all mighty Joss, not us." Buffy was fuming. "We better go."

"Bye, please come again," Fiona told them.

Angel pulled Buffy out of the store. "How dare she say that about my boyfriend, Riley?" Angel looked crushed at her words. "I'm sorry, baby, it's just does Riley really come off as a big idiot? Because she just didn't insult him, she insulted me."

"You really don't want to me to answer if Riley's an idiot or not."

She laughed, "You're right. Let's get to the beach."

They changed into their new swimwear, in a restroom. Then found a place on the beach, where they laid their towels, that Buffy persuaded Angel to buy. She also made him get a bottle of suntan lotion. She pulled out the bottle, and Angel helped her apply it.

"Your turn." She told him.

"I don't need any of that on me."

"Angel, you're going to be red as a beet, if you don't put this on." He shrugged, so she continued, "It'll be painful." He still didn't look convinced. "So painful we won't be able to do anything tonight, when we're in bed." That one got him moving. With the help of a very willing Buffy he rubbed the lotion on him.

"Let's go in the water," Buffy begged. Angel got a mischievous grin on his face. "What?" He picked her up, and carried her over his shoulder and threw her in the water. She came up from underwater, gasping for air. Angel was laughing. "Oh, I'm going to get you for that one." She pushed him underwater.

Together they fought and played in the water. Every once in a while a kiss or two would be added in. They returned to their towels, tired, and dripping wet. Angel wrapped a shivering Buffy in a towel, then pulled her down onto his lap. He kissed her forehead. They snuggled together under the afternoon sun. 'This is the life.' Buffy thought to herself.

"Oh my God!" someone cried to the left of them. They looked over to see a group of teens. "I told you it was them."

"We've been spotted," Angel murmured.

"Just play cool," Buffy said.

"Can we have your autographs?" One of them asked.

"Sure, you can." Buffy informed them. "Do you have a pen and paper?"

"Yeah." They handed her a small book. She started to write Buffy, but realized her mistake so she wrote Buffy Summers a.k.a. Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Angel did the same.

They handed the book back, to a group of beaming adolescents. "Thank you so much." One of the other teens whispered something; "She wants me to ask you guys, if you two are a couple?"Buffy looked at Angel, he nodded. "We sure are," she answered.

"Wow." A few of them said. They said thank you once more and then left Buffy and Angel alone.

"You don't think, that we just got Sarah and David into trouble do you?" Buffy asked.

"What do you mean?"

"By saying that we're a couple. We don't know if they publicly announced it yet or whatever."

"We might have."

Buffy gazed at him. "Are we a couple?"

He fastened his arms tighter around her; "Do you want us to be." Buffy nodded. "Me too. I love you." He kissed her, confirming they're reunion as a couple. As the kiss intensified, Buffy pulled away. "What's wrong?"

"Maybe we should go home."

"Why do you say that?"

"I think we may be recognized by a bunch of people." She motioned around at a group of people who were staring at them. "Besides, we can do more at the house anyway."

They gathered their things, and headed home. It was only mid-afternoon, so they grabbed a quick lunch on their way.

When they reached home, Buffy revealed to Angel, "You know, I saw a container of ice cream in the freezer."

He wrapped her in his arms; "You did, did you?"

"Yeah, and I have a few ideas about what we could do with it," she replied before kissing him intimately.

Part 7

Sarah awoke in the comfort of David's arms. He was already awake, and watching her intently. She smiled, "Why didn't you wake me?"

He brushed a stray piece of hair out of her eyes, "You looked so peaceful. I couldn't bear to disturb you." Sarah let out a yawn. "You still tired?"

She shook her head, "No. What time is it?"

"It's after nine." He answered.

"We should probably go help the others. See if they found anything yet." David nodded at her. They both pulled themselves out of bed. Sarah caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. "God, my hair looks terrible." She tried to smooth it down.

David took her hands in his own, "You look perfect."

"You're just saying that. I look like I've been hit by a-" he silenced her with a kiss.

"Come on, let's go join the others." He grasped her hand and led her down the stairs.

Tara had now joined in on the research. Her and Willow were on the computer. Xander, Anya, Giles, and even Spike were all engrossed in a book.

Spike was the first to notice their presence. "Peaches and Blondie are both awake."

"Spike." Sarah warned. Then looking at the others, "Did you find anything yet?"

"I'm afraid to say, that we haven't had much luck." Giles said closing his book, "At the moment this situation looks pretty hopeless." Everyone nodded in agreement.

David put his arm around Sarah's shoulders, "So you're saying that Sarah and I might have to assume the lives' of Buffy and Angel?"

"You might very well have too. I hate to tell you this, but I don't see a point in us further researching this. Since there is not record on this happening before, we will not very likely find a way to reverse this." Giles took off his glasses to clean them. "Do you understand why I'm going to stop the investigation? I don't mean to sound rude, but it seems hopeless."

The two nodded

"I think…" Tara started.

"What is it?" Willow urged her on.

Everyone turned to look at Tara. She looked nervous, but continued in a meek voice, "I think that maybe, well, maybe since you two are so much like Buffy and Angel, that it could…could be a possibility, that perhaps you two thought the same thing that they thought at the same exact time. That could have caused the switch or-"

"Hey, wasn't that a Disney Movie? Wish Upon a Star or something." Xander interrupted earning a kick from Anya. "Oww."

"Tara, please continue." Giles told her, interested in what she was saying.

"Or maybe, umm… They told me that you guys are in t.v. shows, that are like our lives." Sarah and David nodded. "It could have been written that you guys change lives with Buffy and Angel, and by chance it all started to take place." She stopped letting the idea sink in before going on, "Maybe when the guy who writes the show-"

"Joss," David said.

"Thanks, Joss writes the episodes everything comes true here, so maybe this is just an episode, and once he writes, that you switch back, you will switch back too." Tara finished.

"Tara, that seems like a very good thought, but that would mean that you were implying that Joss writes our lives." Giles told her.

"She has a point," Willow defended her. "I mean, Sarah, did Joss have Buffy and Angel break up right before Prom?" Sarah nodded. "Did he have Angel lose his soul after you two made love?"

"Yeah. We hated doing those scenes. We begged Joss not to tear Buffy and Angel apart, but he wouldn't listen to us. David used to have to hold me after filming those scenes, because I would break down and start crying, they felt so real." David put a comforting hand on Sarah.

"I have one for you," came a voice from the doorway. They turned to see Cordelia standing there.

"How long have you been there?" David asked.

"Long enough to get the gist of what is going on."

"You know what happened?" Giles inquired.

"Yeah, Spike told me over the phone, but since he's well evil, I came to Sunnydale to see for myself."

"You said you had a situation for us?" Sarah questioned.

"I do. No one else knows about this one. Angel told Doyle, and he told me. Since now Doyle is dead, I'm the only one besides Angel who knows this. When Buffy came for Thanksgiving, she was there for more then five minutes. Am I right?" She looked at Sarah and David who nodded in agreement.

"What are you talking about?" Willow looked confused; "She told me herself that she was only there for five minutes, she wouldn't lie to me. Okay, she has before, but still, not on something like this."

"That's because she doesn't remember it. She was there for twenty-four hours. Angel was human." Everyone's mouth dropped open, except Sarah and David; they already knew all this. "Him and Buffy got pelvic, and who knows what else they did." Cordelia shuddered. "Anyway, Angel found that he couldn't protect Buffy as a mortal, so he went to these oracles and begged them to turn him back into a vamp. They agreed to. They turned back time, and only he would remember. That's what happened."

They looked at Sarah and David for confirmation. "Every word of it happened. We filmed that episode." David told them.

"Dear God." Giles seemed shock. "Maybe Tara is right. Joss writes our lives." He looked at the couple, "And this could be another one of them. You two switching places with our Buffy and Angel. He could be writing this at this very moment. What I am saying. What all you are saying."

"There's only one way to find out." Sarah stated. "Willow, when Buffy told you about her breakup, what did she say? Think very hard, and try to tell me exactly what she said."

"She said, umm… I said something about it being horrible, then she said I think horrible is still coming, right not it's worse." She stopped deep in thought. "Next she said right now I'm just trying to keep from dying. Then she told me that she couldn't breathe, that she felt like she couldn't breathe. I had never seen her so upset."

"That's exactly what I said. I said those exact words." Sarah verified.

"That's so sad," Anya said. "Why did he break up with her anyway?"

"Joss." David said. They looked at him. "He wanted me to have my own show, a spin-off of Buffy. He couldn't have us still together so he had Angel break up with Buffy."

"If Buffy finds this out, she'll turn into Faith, and stake Joss." Xander said simply. He got glares from everyone. "What?"

"Even I believe this one." Spike had remained silent through all this. A record time for him. "If this is an episode, and you guys get back. Can you ask him to take this stupid chip out of my brain? I kinda miss killing people."

"Not a chance," Sarah laughed.

"Well, it was worth a shot." Spike looked crushed. Then he glanced at the clock. "Tele time," he announced. "Passions is on." He turned on the television, and quickly became absorbed in the program.

Sarah rolled her eyes, "We have that same soap opera in our reality. It's actually kind of good."

"Before you get as enthralled in it as Spike, let me ask you something." Giles said. "How long does it take to write an episode?"

"A couple of days, sometimes weeks. It just depends on how much Joss gets into writing it." David replied.

"Oh. One other thing. Since Buffy and Angel aren't being written, they will be able to think for themselves. Meaning, that they might reunite persay, and possibly well you know."

"Get back together? Yeah it's a possibility, infact, if they are really in love, like it was written, it's almost a certainty." Sarah finished for him.

"Then when they get back, what will happen to them?" Cordelia wondered.

"I don't know. Maybe we can convince Joss to get them back together." David looked at Sarah before continuing, "We could refuse to work, unless he does so."

"I have a question," Cordelia said. "Is Angel a vampire wherever you guys are from?"

"As far as we know, vampires don't exist there, so he might be human." Sarah answered.

Cordelia looked relieved, "Good, because leaving Buffy and Angel alone together is asking for trouble. They won't be able to keep their hands off each other. And I don't really want to have to deal with a boss who wants to kill me."

"Yes," Giles said giving her a strange look. "Let's just hope that they are fairing okay in your reality. In the mean time, we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds. If what you say is true, once Joss finishes writing the episode, you'll go back, and Buffy and Angel will be back in Sunnydale."

They had no choice but to wait.

A little while later, everyone started to go his or her separate ways. Cordelia had to get back to L.A. to inform Wesley what was going on. Anya had not so secretly announced that she and Xander were going to leave and have sex. Then Tara and Willow left.

"Do you want to go for a walk, Sarah?" David asked.

"Yeah, let's go." She grabbed his hand. "Bye Giles, thank you so much for all your help."

"Don't thank me yet, we must see if you return home or not."

They left, grateful for some fresh air.

"David?"

"Hmm?"

"What do you think Buffy and Angel are up to? Do you think that they've met and survived Joss?"

He took her in his arms, and held her close, "I hope they are alright."

"Me too," she agreed. She pulled David's head down for a kiss. It was short and sweet. "Since we might be here for awhile, why don't we have a little fun ourselves." She said slyly.

"What ever do you mean?" he asked smiling.

"I was thinking that maybe we could go back to my dorm, and celebrate having some freedom from Joss and work."

"You don't need to say anymore." He lifted her up into his arms, and carried her back to the dorm. Why shouldn't they have any amusement of their own?

Part 8

"Angel!" Buffy yelled.

He came running into the room, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she motioned to the closet. "You should see some of these clothes. They are so cool." She pulled out a pair of leather pants. "And very expensive."

"Honey, do you think Sarah would want you going through all of her things?"

Buffy shrugged, "She's probably doing the same." She went back into the closet. "Wow, cashmere sweaters." Angel shook his head, and smiled. "Hey, look DVD's." She pulled out a box. "Cruel Intentions, wonder what this is about."

He grabbed her hand, "Only one way to find out."

Two hours later…

"I can't believe she did that." Buffy said.

"Yeah, she was pretty cruel and manipulative." Angel agreed.

"No, I mean, she kissed that girl." She wrinkled up her face. "Gross. Yuck. I would never do that."

"It was just a movie." Angel told her. "Sarah was just acting the part."

"So, it's still icky." She got up from the couch. "I wonder if they have any other movies." She opened the cabinet beneath the television. "More DVD's." She browsed through them. "They got episodes of Buffy and Angel."

"Let's watch one of them."

Buffy pulled out a case; "I Will Remember You looks like it could be good." She put it in the DVD player.

They watched it in silence. Angel remembered every moment of it. Buffy only knew the very beginning and the end.

"Wow," Buffy stated at the end. "I wish that really happened." She got up to take the DVD out.

Angel stopped her, "It did."

"What? Angel, what do you mean it did?"

"It happened, every thing that you just saw. It really happened." Angel looked down at the floor, avoiding eye contact.

"Okay, let me get this straight. You mean, we were happy, and then you went to the oracles and they changed you back?" He nodded. "Then they turned back time, and I forgot everything, only you remember what happened." Again he nodded. "Why didn't you tell me? No wait. Why didn't you ask me if I wanted you to go back to being a vampire? I can protect myself, you don't need to. Why do you always make major decisions about my life, without me?" She broke down into tears.

He pulled her into his lap; "I just want you to be safe. If anything ever happened to you, I don't know what I'd do."

She looked into his eyes, "Angel, nothing is going to happen to me. I'm strong, stronger then any slayer before me."

"I know you are, but there still is a chance…a chance that something could-" He paused. "I want to be able to help prevent you from being hurt…or… killed. I don't know what I would do if I lost you."

"So you leave me instead? Angel, how are you going to be there to prevent my death, if you aren't with me?"

"I…I don't know. I just thought if I left, you might have a normal life. A normal boyfriend, like Riley."

"Angel, I told you once before, I don't give a damn about a normal life, if I can't be with you. You gave me three reasons, why you were leaving. One, sunlight. I don't care if you can't take me out into the light. I live in the darkness anyway. You can't give me children. So what?" He opened his mouth to speak, but she silenced him. "Angel, you and me see what goes on in this world, the demons and vampires, I wouldn't want to bring a child into that. And if they aren't yours, I don't want children. The other reason you left me is because we can't make love. I don't care about that, Angel. I care about you. I don't want any of those things, unless they are with you."

"But what about Riley?"

"He's nice, but I don't love him. Angel, since we're in this reality we can have all those things, that you couldn't give me before."

"What happens when we switch back? Huh? What happens then?" he questioned her.

"I don't know, but I know that I don't want to be without you." She whispered in a small voice. "I love you too much to lose you again.

"Buffy, I love you too." He kissed her hair. "I won't leave you, I promise. If what you say is true, that you don't want those things unless they are with me, then I'll stay with you."

She smiled, "You won't make any decisions about me life-"

"Without you," he finished for her.

She pulled his head down to hers, so their lips were almost touching, "Promise?" she asked.

"Promise." He kissed her, sealing their pact.

Meanwhile, back at the set, Joss was writing his latest script.

"Joss," Nick interrupted him.

"What do you want?" Joss asked impatiently.

"Don't get all hostile. Aly and I just wanted to see what you were doing."

Aly entered, "So what's the latest script about?"

"I'm not sure if I'm going to use this or not." Joss told them.

"Why not?" they both questioned.

"It's an episode were Sarah and David switch places with Buffy and Angel. In other words, Sarah and David would play themselves in Buffy world."

"What's the problem?" Nick inquired.

"There's no real action, you know, vampires or anything."

"So add them." Aly said.

"They can't fight." Joss explained.

"So." Nick stated.

"I don't know if I should even finish the script." Joss turned off his computer.

"You should. At least finish it. If it's still no good. We don't film it." Aly reasoned.

"I still don't know." He looked at his two young stars. "Okay, I'll finish it, but it won't be any good."

"You don't know that for sure." Nick told him.

"You guys are right. I'll finish the script, and then I'll see if it sucks or not." Joss turned his computer back on. "Now, leave me alone, so I can do my work."

They left, leaving Joss. "So Aly, what are you up to?" Nick wondered.

"Oh, I'm going to be stopping at Sarah's and David's. I've been watching their dogs, so they could have some alone time. I'm supposed to return them tonight."

"Have fun." Nick said. "Just hope those two will leave the bedroom long enough, to let you in."

"Ha, ha. Very funny Nick." She gave him a playful push. "I have to go pick up the dogs." She got into her car. "Bye, see you tomorrow."

She drove off, wondering if Nick was right. Those two probably did spend the past couple of days in bed. They had been late to the set the other day. She also had heard from some of the crew members that they had been acting funny on the set. Like they didn't know what they were doing. Oh, well. She would soon find out what was up with them for herself.

Part 9

The phone ringing woke Sarah from her peaceful sleep. She answered it. "Hello. Hey Willow." David had also woken up, and watched her intently. "Tonight? Okay. We'll see you then." Sarah hung up. She looked at David. "That was Willow."

"What did she want?" David asked as he played with her hair.

"She wants us to go to dinner with everyone tonight." She started tracing patterns on his muscular chest. "Buffy and Riley were going to go with them, but seeing as they're not here, she wants us to go."

"Okay, when?" He asked leaving a trail of kisses on her neck.

"Not till later, we have a few more hours." She captured his lips in a tender kiss.

A few hours later, Sarah and David arrived at the restaurant. Sarah found a beautiful pale blue dress of Buffy's to wear, David on the other hand couldn't dress up for the evening. All of Angel's clothes were in L.A. Everyone else was already at a table, waiting for them.

"Hey," Sarah greeted them. "Sorry we're late."

"It's okay." Willow told them as they took their seats.

Sarah looked around, all of them were there, Willow, Tara, Xander, Anya, Giles, and "Spike, what are you doing here?"

"Well, slayer, I thought I'd come here to drive you and Peaches insane." Spike answered.

"Spike," Sarah warned, her voice growing louder. "I am not the slayer and David is not-"

"Will you two please behave," Giles interrupted. "I don't want to have to put you on time-out, like you're three-year-olds."

Neither Spike nor Buffy got a chance to say anymore before their waitress came, "My name is Shiri. Can I get you all something to drink?"

Everyone was ordering sodas, until they reached Spike who ordered a beer. David did the same. He whispered to Sarah, "I could use some alcohol."

She chuckled, "Same here." It was now her turn to order. "I think I'll have tequila with cranberry." The group gave her weird looks. "Make that a red wine." They still looked at her funny. "What?"

"Can I see your I.D.?" Shiri asked her.

"I don't have it with me." She answered. 'Yeah, it's in another reality,' she said to herself.

"Well then, I guess you'll be having a Coke?" Shiri said dryly. Sarah nodded in agreement. "Okay, I'll be back with your beverages," she left.

Sarah slumped in her chair; "I'm not liking it here anymore. It's suddenly no fun."

"I thought that too when I first got here," Anya stated. "They wouldn't let me have a beer, and I'm over a thousand years old." She shrugged. "Anyway, you're only nineteen."

"No, I'm not. I'm twenty-three." Sarah snapped.

"Touchy." Anya said.

"Wait a minute," Xander joined in. "You mean to say that you're older then Buffy?"

"Yeah," Sarah replied. "Actors almost always play younger then they really are."

"How old are you?" Xander looked at David.

"Twenty-nine." He confirmed.

"Not bad for someone who plays a two hundred forty-four year old vampire." Anya quipped.

"How old are the rest of the people who play us?" Willow wondered.

"Well, Aly is twenty-six." She pointed to Xander. "Nick is twenty-nine, like David." She looked at Anya; "Emma is twenty-something." Anya looked satisfied. Sarah then looked at Tara and Giles. "Amber is twenty-three like me. Tony is forty-six. And Spike, James is almost thirty-one."

"And, let's see, Charisma, which is Cordy, is almost thirty." David added.

"Wow. They all play teenagers?" Tara questioned. "Well, except for Giles and Spike."

"Yeah." Sarah and David verified.

"You're all kinda old." Anya added her two cents.

"We're not old." Sarah said. "Some people are older then us, and play younger."

"Sarah's telling the truth," David spoke up. "Almost every teen on television, or even in movies, is played by someone older."

"She's right," Spike joined in. "Some of those teens on t.v. are way too bloody hot to be sixteen."

"Spike, you're a pig." Sarah insulted.

Spike stuck his tongue in a taunting manner. Before Sarah could yell at him, Shiri returned. "Here's your Cokes." She placed them in front of the teens, Sarah, and Giles. "And your beers." She handed them to Spike and David. "Now what would you like eat?"

They ordered. The rest of dinner went by uneventful. Though Spike and Sarah were at each other's throats most of the time. David gave Sarah some of his beer, to get her to calm down, but it didn't work very well. She and Spike just wouldn't get along at all. After dinner, they all went their separate ways. Sarah and David decided to take a walk.

"Well, dinner was interesting." David said.

"I want to kill Spike. I can't stand him." Sarah pulled at her hair, frustrated.

David grasped her hands, "Don't do that?" He put her arms around his waist. "Try to relax." She shook her head no. "Maybe this will help." He leaned down and kissed her. She returned the kiss, grateful for the sweet getaway from her frustrations.

Sarah heard a banging noise, "What was that?" she pulled away from him.

"What was what?" He questioned.

"That sound." She pointed to the graveyard. "It was coming from over there."

"Do you think it could be vampires?"

"We should probably go find out." Sarah started walking.

"Wait!" He grabbed her arm, stopping her. "We can't do anything about it. We don't know how to fight."

"We have to try. With Buffy gone, there's no slayer." She yanked her arm away from his grip. "If you don't want to come with me, fine. But I'm going." She walked away.

David followed, "Sarah, don't be like this. You'll get yourself killed." She kept walking. "Sarah."

"Shh," she quieted him. "I see two vamps. We should be able to handle them."

"We don't have any stakes." David explained.

"We'll improvise." She picked up a tree branch. "Take this." She handed it to him, and picked up another one for herself.

Together they went after the vampires. At first it looked like they might actually kill the vampires. But then, two more surrounded them. Three of them held David back, while the other one advanced on Sarah.

"This does not look good for the slayer." He mocked. He grabbed her by the throat. "Slayer blood is supposed to be so sweet."

"I'm not the slayer," she choked out.

"Is that so? Either way, you're going to be my dinner." He bared his fangs. Pushing back her hair, he put his fangs right up to her neck. "I'm kinda hungry," he said before sinking his teeth into her neck. She cried out in pain.

David tried to pull out of the vampires' grasps. But they held firm. "No! Sarah! No!" He yelled.

Part 10

Buffy and Angel were still wrapped up in each other, when the doorbell rang. Buffy untangled herself from Angel's arms. She gave him one last kiss; "I better answer the door." Angel nodded.

Buffy opened the front door, "Willow," she greeted. 'Wrong name.' "Sorry Aly, my mind was just elsewhere."

Aly gave her a strange look; "It's okay. I'm just stopping by to return your canine friends."

"Canine friends?" Buffy questioned, confused.

"Yeah, you know yours and David's dogs." Aly answered. "Is something the matter?"

"Not at all. You just caught me off guard is all." Buffy looked around. "So where are they?"

She pointed behind her, "In my car, I'll go get them."

"Buffy, who's at the door?" Angel said joining Buffy.

"Hey, David," Aly welcomed. "That's sweet how you called her Buffy." She looked at Buffy. "Do you call him Angel?"

Buffy nodded, "All the time."

"Okay, then." Aly chuckled. "I'll go get your dogs." She walked back to her car.

"Dogs?" Angel inquired.

"Apparently, Sarah and David have a couple," Buffy responded.

"This is going to be fun," he snorted.

"She's coming back," Buffy shushed him.

"Here they are," Aly announced. She held two leashes.

Buffy took the leashes from her, "Right. So, do we owe you anything?"Buffy handed the leashes to Angel, who took the dogs in the house.

"No, of course you don't. I love animals, you know I have a lot of my own." Aly told her.

Buffy stepped back into the house, "Would you like to come in?"

"Sure, but only for a little while." Aly followed her into the house.

"I hoped they behaved for you," Angel motioned to the dogs.

"They were perfect little angels." Aly took a seat in the chair, "Except Bertha Blue here is a pig." She patted the lab on the head. "Huh Bertha? Aren't you always hungry." She pointed to the smaller dog that was seated on Angel's lap, "Thor, though, is such a polite little fellow."

"That's good." Buffy sat next to Angel on the couch. "We're so thankful that you took care of them for us."

"It wasn't a problem. You two deserved some alone time." Aly looked at her watch. "I better be going. I'll see you both at the set tomorrow." She stood up. "You should hear the script that Joss is working on now."

"Why what's it about?" Buffy asked.

"Get this. You and David switch places with Buffy and Angel. How's that for wacky. Like that could ever happen."

Buffy nodded her head slowly, "Yeah, what are the odds?"

Aly turned to leave. "Bye," she waved.

"So Joss is writing an episode where Sarah and David switch places with us." Buffy repeated what Aly had said.

"Do you think that…" Angel trailed off.

"Do I think what?"

"That maybe as Joss wrote the episode, the events unfolded. They came true."

"It could be possible. So what ever he writes, that's what will happen to Sarah and David?"

"That's what I think. And once he finishes it, and has them switch back with us, we'll go back to Joss controlled Sunnydale."

"Yeah." She thought about what he said, "Wait, what do you mean by Joss controlled?"

Angel looked deep into her eyes, making her melt. "Don't you get it?" She shook her head. "That episode we watched. That episode he wrote. That's exactly what happened. Every word, every feeling that we possessed, was precisely what really took place in our reality."

"What are you saying? Joss controls our lives?" Buffy shook her head again, "No, I don't believe it."

"Buffy, it's true. It has to be," he paused. "Something just occurred to me. The character of Angel is on a different show then you, Buffy." She nodded. "But they were once on the same show."

Buffy looked at him questionably, "What are you getting at?"

"I'm saying that, in order to give them separate shows, Joss had to have Buffy and Angel-"

"End our relationship." She finished. "Let me get this straight. The only reason you broke up with me was because Joss wrote that in his script."

"That's exactly what I'm saying. Because when I'm here, in this reality, I have no idea how I could have left you. I love you too much to just walk out of your life."

"So no one's writing us right now, that's why we are together?" Angel nodded. "I don't believe it, Angel, I can't."

"You have to Buffy. Think about it, it makes sense."

Buffy's eyes filled with tears, "All this means, that the moment we switch back, he controls us again. He'll tear us apart. We'll lose each other again. You'll go back to being a vampire." She made a face, "And I'll have to go back to dating Riley."

"Maybe. Maybe not." Angel mentioned.

"What do you mean?"

He wrapped his arms around Buffy, pulling her close, "I think that maybe we should have a little talk with Joss."

A small smile spread across her face. "You're saying that we should confront Joss? Tell him to stop ruining our lives? Or tell him to stop writing them?"

"Something like that." He thought for a moment. "There has to be some kind of connection."

"A connection?" Buffy questioned.

"Something, that connects Sunnydale to here. Once we figure out what does, maybe we can break it." He explained.

"So Joss can continue to write his scripts without running our lives?"

"Exactly." Angel concluded.

"But what's the connection?" Buffy wondered. "How do we find out?"

"I don't know. It's probably something that's the same here as it is in Sunnydale."

"Yeah. But even if we find the connection or whatever, can we still have a talk with Joss?" Buffy asked.

"If we figure this out, I don't see why we would need to."

"It's just that, the fans of the shows, they seem to want Buffy and Angel to be together. And I think that we should make Joss give it to them." Angel nodded. "Great."

"We'll talk to him tomorrow." Angel stated.

"Angel, you'll still go back to being a vampire." Buffy said. "Not that I would have a problem with that, but it's so much fun being with you, human."

"We'll have to deal with it when the time comes. Alright?" He kissed her gently, "Why don't we get to bed?"

"I'm not tired." Buffy said.

"We don't have to sleep." He spoke, making Buffy giggle.

She stopped, "Do you thing we could somehow get a message to Sarah and David? You know, so they can look for the connection also?"

"It's a good idea, but I don't know how we'd go about doing it?"

Buffy thought for a minute, "Maybe if we left a note for them, in the dorm room on the set. If Sarah's there, she might get it." She grabbed a pad of paper and a pen. She handed it to Angel. "You can explain it better then me."

He wrote the note, explaining what he and Buffy thought was going on. "We'll put in there tomorrow." Buffy shook her head. "You want me to put it there now."

"I want them to get this as soon as possible."

"Fine. I'll take it. I'll be back soon." He left.

Angel put the note, on Buffy's nightstand on the set. 'Hopefully, she'll get this.' He thought to himself. 'I don't know if this will work or not.'

He arrived back at home, to a completely dark house. "Buffy," he called out.

"I'm in the bedroom," she called back.

He walked into the bedroom, to find Buffy in lingerie, which barely covered her. Candles were lit all over the room, "Buffy," he gasped out.

"Come here you," she replied seductively.

He complied. "I love you." He whispered before kissing her passionately.

"I love you," she said back between kisses.

Just in case things didn't work out, as they wanted them to, they had better enjoy themselves now.

Part 11

"Stop!" David yelled to no prevail. Sarah had been putting up a fight, but was now barely holding on to consciousness. David still struggled against the vampires' firm grip. "I'm going to kill you."

The vampire that had been biting Sarah exploded into dust, "Wrong mate. I killed him," said Spike.

The other vamps were startled. David used this to his advantage, and pulled himself away from the vamps. He ran over to Sarah, who was slumped, on the ground. "Sarah, are you okay? Sarah?" He pulled her into his strong arms. "Please be okay," he whispered against her hair.

"David?" he heard her mutter.

""I'm here." He watched as her eyes slowly fluttered open. He looked up at Spike and mouthed "Thank you." Spike nodded.

"What happened?" Sarah coughed.

"Don't you remember? You were bit." David told her.

"I know. I mean, how am I still alive?" She watched as David pointed at something. She slowly turned her head. Her eyes were looking straight at a blond vampire, "Spike, you saved me?"

"Don't look so surprised. I'm a good person. Okay, no, I'm not. But I saved your ass." Spike thought for a moment, "Now, how are you going to repay me?"

With David's help, Sarah stood up, "Repay you? You couldn't just do this out of the goodness of your heart?" She leaned against David for support.

"Of course not. What do you think I am? A saint?" Spike huffed.

"So, you would have rather have left me for dead, then do this for nothing in return?" Sarah asked him.

"Yep. I've done it to Buffy. Besides I don't know why you're so tempered over this. I did just save your life. Because Nancy boy here, couldn't."

"I hate you Spike." She put her arms in the air. "Jeez, James is so much nicer to be around. He's not half as annoying as you are." She turned to David, " Honey, remind me when we get back to thank James."

"Like I'm supposed to be good? I'm evil." Spike glared at her.

Sarah laughed, "Yeah, you're such the big bad."

David stopped the argument, "Sarah, why don't we go back to the dorm? You should rest?" She nodded. He led her away from a fuming Spike. Boy, those two could sure fight.

David opened the door to the room, and turned on the light. "Let me see the bite?" He sat down next to Sarah on the bed. "It doesn't look too bad." He kissed the wound gently. "It might leave a scar though."

"Great, just what I've always wanted." She said sarcastically. "The perfect souvenir to take home with me." She covered her mouth as she yawned. "You also have to remind me to kill Joss when we get back."

"You're tired." David pulled back the blankets on the bed. "Sleep."

She was climbing under the covers when she noticed a slip of paper on the nightstand. "What's that?" She indicated it to David.

He picked it up, "It's a note." His eyes quickly scanned it. "From Buffy and Angel."

"To us?" He nodded. "What does it say?"

"It says that we should look for a connection between here and Sunnydale. If there is one, and it's broken, then Joss won't be writing their lives anymore." David paused for a moment. "If this is true, we better be careful not to break it until after we switch back."

Sarah gave him a confused look, "Why?"

"If it's broken before, we may not get back."

She nodded in understandment. "Right. What could the connection be?"

"I don't know. We'll just have to figure it out."

Sarah once again looked baffled. "Is Joss writing this? Cause if he is, we're never going to find this connection or whatever."

"I've been thinking about that. Joss can't write every little thing that happens here. An hour episode spans a couple of days."

"What you're saying is that, he doesn't control us completely. He just directs the most important aspects or something?" Sarah inquired.

"That's what I think. So we should be able to find the link between the two realities. Joss can't write everyone's lives at all times. We should be able to get around him."

"But how?"

"I don't know for sure. But for one, we obviously can think for ourselves. And two, we know what Joss is up to. We might be able to take control."

Sarah's face clouded over in deep thought; "Do you think that this all could be the work of a demon? I mean this is a Hellmouth, home to demons and creatures of the night."

"I guess." David said unsure.

"Think about it. Maybe there's some kind of controlling demon, and Joss has power over it, so he is able to keep us under control."

David let her words sink in, "You know, you might be on to something. Except, maybe Joss doesn't realize what exactly he is doing."

"We have to tell Buffy and Angel." She grabbed a notebook and a pen. She shoved them into David's hands, "Here, you write."

David quickly scribbled a message on the first blank page that he found. "Where should I leave it?"

Sarah pointed to the nightstand, "The same place we found the note."

He did as she said. Placing the open notebook in the exact spot, the note had been minutes earlier. Sarah yawned again. "You need to get some rest." He helped her get under the blankets.

She looked up at him, "Aren't you going to join me?"

He grinned, "Definitely." He climbed under the covers. Sarah snuggled up close to him. He kisses her forehead. "How are you feeling?"

"My neck hurts a bit, but I'll live." She closed her eyes. "David?" she asked softly.

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Just being here with me."

"Sarah, I'd do anything for you. I love you."

"I love you." He heard her whisper before she drifted off to sleep.

Thoughts plagued his mind. He had almost lost her tonight. He looked at his young love. What would he do without her? She was his life. He kissed her cheek. "You're my soulmate." He whispered. "Forever and always." David soon fell asleep.

Sarah smiled; she had heard what he had said. "Soulmates," she repeated. "Forever and always." She closed her eyes, cuddling closer to David. Sleep soon overcame her.

Part 12

Buffy and Angel arrived at the set the next day. "Angel, do you think Sarah and David got our message?"

Angel shrugged, "We should go look." The went to the dorm set, "Our note's gone."

"That means they got it." She turned to leave.

Angel grabbed her arm, "Wait." She looked at him curiously. He picked up a notebook, "It's to us," he explained.

"Oh. What's it say?"

"They said that they would look for the connection, but we must be careful that we don't break it before we switch back."

"Why's that?" she questioned.

"We might not switch back then. They also think that maybe it could be some kind of demon that's doing this. Maybe Joss has power over some kind of reality controlling demon."

"I knew he was evil!" Buffy exclaimed.

"He might not even know, that he's doing this." Angel reasoned.

"So, I still think he's evil." She retorted.

"I think now might be a good time for our little chat with Joss." Angel said.

Buffy smirked, "So do I."

They knocked on his office door, "Come in," said a grumpy voice. Buffy and Angel entered, "What do you two want? Come to tell me you're not prepared again today?"

"We're prepared," Buffy lied. "We just need to talk to you." She glanced at his computer, "Is that the script Will, I mean Aly, was telling us about? The reality switching one?"

"It is, I'm almost finished with it. I don't think we'll be filming it though." Joss sat back from his computer, "Now. What is it you needed to talk to me about?"

Buffy glanced at Angel, urging him to speak, "We want Buffy and Angel to become a couple."

Joss laughed, "Not going to happen. The characters are on two different shows."

"So," Buffy sneered. "Combine the shows together, or a long distance relationship. Whatever works. Just as long as they get back together."

"What am I supposed to do with Riley?"

"Kill him off, you enjoy doing that." Buffy mimicked. "If you don't make them a couple again, we'll refuse to work."

"You're under contract." Joss said.

"We don't care," Angel put his arm around Buffy. "You either do as we ask, or we'll walk out that door. And not come back."

"Why are you two so touchy over this all of a sudden?" Joss asked.

"Because, it's what we want." Buffy replied.

"It's what the fans want," Angel answered. "They deserve it."

Joss sat in deep concentration for a moment; "Maybe you're right."

Buffy almost fell out of her chair, "You mean you agree with us?"

He nodded, "The show did have higher ratings when Buffy and Angel were together. I guess I'll give it another try, but I'm going to take things slowly."

"And Riley?" Angel inquired.

"I'll kill him off." Joss shrugged, "Not many people liked him anyway. Marc's not going to like this though. But we could use the ratings."

"Thanks," Buffy said picking up a crystal, that had caught her eye, off of Joss's desk.

"Don't touch that!" Joss yelled. Buffy put it down immediately. "It's very fragile."

Buffy gave Joss an odd look, "Sorry, I didn't think it would upset you. What's the big deal about it?"

"It's very rare," Joss said awkwardly. Buffy reached for it again, "Don't!"

Buffy picked it up anyway, "I'm not going to break it." She looked into it.

"Put it down now!" Joss shouted.

Buffy did as she was told. She snatched Angel's hand; "We're going to go now." She pulled him out of the office.

Angel gave her a worried look, "What's wrong?"

"The crystal-" Buffy started.

Angel interrupted her, "Joss is way too protective of it."

"Not that. What I saw in it. I saw some kind of demon." She stated firmly.

"Do you think that Sarah and David were right? And that crystal is what gives Joss power over the demon?"

"I think. We should probably research it." She pointed to a computer, "The Internet." She sat in the chair in front of it. "Where should I go?"

"Do a search on control demons." She did as he said. It brought up a bunch of sites. She clicked on one of the links.

"That's it." She clicked on the picture of a very ugly looking demon. "It's the one I saw in the picture."

"Dominate incubus." Angel read.

"What does that mean?" Buffy questioned.

"It's the name of it. Basically it means control demon. Exactly what we're looking for."

"How do we destroy it?"

"It says that you must kill the incubus itself, and destroy its power center." Angel stated.

"The crystal. Right?" Angel nodded. "So once we switch back, we kill the demon. Sarah and David smash the crystal."

"Precisely." Angel agreed.

"I am so the knowledge girl today." She boasted. "Wait a minute. Won't Joss be controlling us, once we get back to Sunnydale?"

"Not all the time." She gave him a confused look. "You see, he can't write us all the time. We can get around him."

Buffy smiled, "So we kill the demon, they smash the crystal, and we live our own lives. And Joss will just write a show, that doesn't really exist anywhere."

"Right."

"And Buffy and Angel get to be together on the show, and in real life." He nodded before kissing her lips. Buffy got an idea, "I want to see something." She turned to the computer and did a search on Buffy and Angel. "There's got to be websites about us." She clicked on a link. "Land of Denial."

"What's that?"

"Buffy and Angel fluff." She said.

"You lost me again."

"Fanfic, happy Buffy and Angel stories. I guess since Joss wouldn't let us be together, the fans did it themselves." Buffy explained. She went back to the search page. "Wow, look at all the sites devoted to us. There's thousands."

"I see that." Angel looked at his watch. "We better get going. We should leave a note for Sarah and David. Joss is almost done writing the script, so we have to hope they get it before he finishes."

"We should leave one at their house too, just in case." Buffy told him.

"Come on." They left a copy of the note in the dorm room set, and took another one home with them.

"I hate acting!" Buffy claimed. They had a long day of filming. Buffy and Angel were always lost. They didn't know their lines, and they couldn't understand stage directions. "Remind me to never ever do it again." She shook her head. "I could never make it doing that every day. It is in no way easy."

"I know. We should probably get to sleep. We have another day of it tomorrow."

"Oh, joy. I love slaying vampires more. If I ever complain about my job again, please smack me."

Angel chuckled, "I don't think so. I know you too well. You will complain about slaying."

"No I won't." she stated firmly.

"Yes, you will. And you know it." Angel teased.

"So what? I'm the slayer; I have to do-" He silenced her with a kiss. "I'm sorry, was I saying something?" she questioned before returning his kiss.

Part 13

Sarah awoke to the sunlight that gently flooded the bedroom. As her eyes adjusted to the morning light she saw, that it wasn't Buffy's room. She turned to a sleeping David, and started to shake him, "Wake up, wake up."

David groggily opened his eyes, "What is it Sarah?"

"We're home." That got his attention.

"Home? You mean…?" David asked.

"Yeah, see our room." She hugged him. "I'm so glad to be back."

He returned the hug, "As much as I want to be back, I wish we weren't. We have to go to work, and be around Joss."

She punched him playfully in the arm; "You would rather be back in Sunnydale, where I almost died?"

He delicately touched the wound on her neck; "I didn't mean that. I just liked the time off from work."

"So did I." She jumped out of bed. "But now, I get to yell at Joss."

"Someone is hyper this morning." David laughed.

"I know." She leapt into David's arms; "I just love being back in our reality. I don't like being vamp food in Sunnydale."

David reached over to the nightstand, and picked up a piece of paper. "It's a note." He quickly read it. "Buffy and Angel left it for us, in case we switched back before we got it in the other reality. They say that we have to break some kind of crystal that Joss has on his desk. They'll take care of killing the demon. This way they can live their life without his control," he explained.

"Can I break it?" Sarah asked. "I want to get back at Joss for almost killing me."

"I thought you were going to yell at him?"

"Oh, I still will." Sarah looked at the clock. "Let's get ready to go to work."

Sarah burst into Joss's office, with David close behind her.

"Sarah, David, what's wrong?" Joss questioned.

Neither of them answered. Sarah went straight over to Joss's desk and picked up the crystal.

"Put that down," Joss demanded.

"Okay," Sarah obliged. She threw it hard to the ground. It smashed into a thousand pieces.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Joss yelled.

"It's called payback." Sarah snapped. "We know what you were up to. You're not going to be controlling Buffy and Angel's lives anymore. You're lucky. I want to kill you right now."

"How did you? Why do you want to kill me?" Joss asked.

Sarah brushed back her hair. "Let Sarah get bit by a vampire you thought as you wrote that damn script. Well guess what? It happened. It hurt like hell."

"What are you talking about?"

"Your script, it really happened. They all really happen. Not anymore." Sarah turned and stomped out of the room.

"What's with her?" Joss looked at David.

David glared at him; "You almost got her killed. I almost lost her. I'd watch your back. No one messes with the woman I love. No one." He left after Sarah. "Sarah and I are taking the day off," he called back.

"What could have gotten into those two?" Joss questioned to himself.

David caught up with Sarah outside, "We're taking the day off. I think that we both need to be away from Joss for awhile."

"Agreed." Sarah said.

"I hate Joss, so very much." She said as they walked the streets of L.A.

"So do I." David told her. "He almost took you from me."

Sarah smiled. "You'd be upset?"

"Upset? What kind of question is that? I'd be devastated." David admitted. "I love you more then I've ever loved anything else before. You are my world, Sarah. If something happened to you…" He shook his head. "I don't even want to think about it."

Sarah put her head against his chest; "I heard what you said last night."

"What do you mean?"

"You thought I was sleeping, but I wasn't. You said that I was your soulmate, forever and always. Is it true?"

He stroked her back gently, "Of course it is. I would never lie to you. I'm never going to let you go."

Sarah's smile grew, "Good. Because I think you are my soulmate." She once again repeated his words, "Forever and always."

He lifted her face, and kissed her affectionately. David looked up, and over Sarah's shoulder, he saw a guy with a camera, "Media alert."

"What?"

"Guy with a camera." Sarah turned to wear David was looking. "What should we do?"

Sarah clasped his hand, "Just be ourselves. No more hiding. We're a couple. I don't want to hide it anymore."

David looked into her eyes, "Well in that case," he leaned down and kissed her again. "I think I really enjoy doing this."

Sarah chuckled, "Oh you better," she teased before pulling him down for more kisses. It was as if their life together was just now beginning.

Part 14

Willow walked into her dorm room to find the couple sound asleep, "Sarah, David wake up," she shouted.

Buffy sat up in bed, "Will, er, Aly, what are you doing here?"

"Sarah, I thought we already cleared this up? I'm Willow."

"You mean you're really Willow?" The redhead nodded. Buffy shot out of bed, and enveloped her best friend in a tight hug. "It's me Buffy, I'm back."

Willow pulled back a little, "It's really you?" Buffy nodded. "That would mean that you were just in bed with Angel then."

"That's right," Angel said, climbing out of bed.

"So are you two, together then?" asked Willow.

"Yeah." Buffy stated. Willow opened her mouth to say more, but Buffy stopped her. "We'll explain everything later. Right now Angel and I have a demon to fight." She grabbed Angel's hand. "Let's kick some incubus ass."

Angel didn't move, "Buffy, we're back in Sunnydale. I can't go out into the sunlight anymore."

Buffy's smile fell from here face, "I forgot about that." She placed her hand over Angel's heart, "Thump, thump, thump," she repeated. She looked up at Angel; "Your heart's still beating." She raised her hand to his cheek, "You still feel warm. Angel, you didn't change back, you're still human!" Buffy cried out.

"Somehow, I must have stayed human. Maybe it's because…" he pulled Buffy close. "Hell, forget trying to explain this. I just want to enjoy it." He kissed Buffy's lips. She gratefully returned it.

"Maybe I should leave you alone," interrupted Willow. The couple broke apart.

"No don't," Buffy said. "We have a demon to fight. Tell Giles and the gang that Angel and I are back, and that we'll explain everything to him later." Willow nodded. "Come on Angel, I could use a good slay. I just hope that Sarah and David break that crystal thing."

"Don't worry about that. As long as the dominate incubus is dead, we should be out of Joss's control."

Buffy and Angel were walking through one of the many cemeteries in Sunnydale, when Riley spotted them.

"Well, I guess I better break up with him," Buffy stated, as Riley headed towards them.

"Hi Buffy, if it's you," Riley said harshly. "Or are you Sarah?"

"Oh you must have met Sarah and David," Buffy started.

"What is going on?" Riley questioned.

Angel put his arms protectively around Buffy. She leaned back into him, and nuzzled her head against his neck; "It's over between you and me Riley." She noticed a bruise on his face. "Get into a fight?"

"You or Sarah, whoever it was, did this to me."

Angel smirked, "You got beat up by a girl?"

"She was strong." Riley stood up for himself. "She's a slayer."

Buffy laughed, "Sarah is not a slayer. I don't think that she could even really kill a vampire."

"Why don't you want to be with me?" Riley inquired. "Why do you want to be with that vampire?"

"He's not a vampire anymore." Buffy looked up into Angel's eyes, before looking back at Riley. "I did some thinking while I was in the other reality." Riley looked confused. "Oh, I guess you didn't know about that." She shrugged, "It doesn't really concern you anyway. I've decided that Angel is the only one for me. I don't know what I was thinking, when I started dating you." She made a face, "Why in the world I stayed with you for so long, is beyond me. What was I thinking, when I slept with you? Eww."

"Buffy, I…" Riley stampered. "I thought you were in love with me."

Angel spoke up; "She loves me, not you. If I were you, I'd leave her alone. You don't want to make me angry. Human or not, I can still rip you to shreds."

With slumped shoulders, Riley walked off. Buffy turned to face Angel, "You don't think we were a little too brutal, do you?"

Angel placed his forehead against hers, "He touched my girl. I'm not to happy about that." He kissed the top of her head. "Now that we got rid of that fishboy, let's take care of that other pain in our sides. Let's find us that demon."

Two hours later they returned to Buffy's dorm.

"It felt so good beating up that demon," Buffy remarked.

"It did," Angel agreed.

"You know what else would feel good?" Buffy teased embracing Angel.

"I thought we were going to go explain everything to your friends," Angel said.

"They can wait." Buffy grinned. "I think that maybe we should celebrate being back in Sunnydale. And for being out of Joss's control."

Angel thought for a moment, "And just how should we celebrate this?"

Buffy left light kisses on Angel's neck. "Well, we could go to the Bronze, or to the movies."

"Buffy," Angel whined.

Buffy laughed, "You know what? Faith was right."

Angel gave her a puzzled look; "She was right about what?"

"That slaying makes you hungry and horny."

"It does, does it?" Angel questioned.

"Oh, it really does…" Buffy trailed off. She pulled Angel onto the bed. "Stay with me?"

"Forever. I love you, Buffy."

"I love you." Buffy said. "Angel?"

"Hmm?"

"Shut up, and kiss me." She commanded. Angel did as she asked.
