Buffy smiled to herself as she looked out of the kitchen window. In the garden, her husband was being pelted with snowballs by their two children. He wore a grin from ear to ear, his eyes sparkling with laughter and it warmed her heart to see it.

Opening the window she yelled, "Hey guys! Come and eat your lunch before it's as cold as you are."

The back door opened and the cold air filled the room. Stamping feet and excited chatter followed. Buffy couldn't believe how lucky she was.

"You been having fun?" she asked as she disappeared under a pile of damp coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

"We got Daddy." her daughter replied excitedly.

"So I noticed." She tried desperately not to laugh at him, his hair damp and frosted with rapidly melting snow. "Although I think he got you and Morgan a few times too Alesha."

"We were quicker!" Morgan piped up.

Now she did laugh. "I guess you were. Now sit down and eat whilst I hang these things up to dry."

"Want me to help you?" her husband asked, unwrapping an exceedingly long scarf from around his neck.

A shiver ran down her spine. Even after all these years together his voice could still turn her on; that and his kind persona and wonderful body. She had been truly blessed the day he had entered her life.

"Somehow I think I'll manage. You sit down and eat, I'll only be a second or two."

He gently leant over and kissed her. "I love you."

The kiss was cut short by a chorus of ewwwwwwwwws from the children.

"Daddy's got kissy face, Daddy's got kissy face!" Alesha chanted. Morgan just screwed up his face in disgust.

Buffy sighed. Did it get any better than this? Hanging the coats up, she returned to the table and joined her family.

"How about we make a snowman this afternoon? Mom can help us. What do you say kids?"

"Yeah!" chimed in two little voices.

"But not until you've let your food go down. I don't want you guys getting sick…"

…It was late, the kids were in bed and Buffy was curled up on the settee in her husband's arms.

"Thank you."

"He looked at her quizzically, "For what Love?"

"For being you; for marrying me; for loving me."

"Not a hard thing to do. It's easy loving you Buffy."

"It's easy loving you too Angel…"

…"Buffy? Buffy? BUFFY!"

"Urgh, what's wrong Angel? Is it one of the kids?" Buffy looked around her disorientated. "Dawn???"

"Giles is here to take us to the hospital to see Mom."

"Ok Dawn, give me a couple of minutes and I'll be ready."

"Ok. Buffy, why did you call me Angel and what kids?"

"I'll be downstairs in a minute Dawn. Go and make Giles a cup of tea."

"Nobody tells me anything!" Dawn left, slamming the door behind her.

Fighting back the tears that threatened to overwhelm her, Buffy pushed back the comforter.
