Okay, some people out there are doubting B/A. Some of you are losing your faith in all this Rileyness. To you, I give a fic. And this fic will show you the true light. (Mwahahahahahahaha!)

Angel couldn't help but smile. The curse was no more, and his life withBuffy seemed to be reopened. Grabbing his coat, the vampire walked out ofhis office.

Buffy plastered on a fake smile as Riley put his arm around her. The twohad been walking in the park, but the Slayers' mind was eslewhere. Shethought of Angel, how he held her, how his skin felt against hers... WithRiley it just wasn't the same. The commando made her feel uneasy, like therewas something not quite right.

Riley grinned and pointed out a few of the constellations that he knew.Buffy ignored him, wondering if Angel knew all of the stars in the heavens.He probably did, but she had never bothered to ask. Even a small thing suchas that made her feel alone. She wanted Angel, her first love, to come back.Buffy could tell him anything, ask him anything, and he would understand.

'Oh great,' she thought, 'I'm doing the brooding thing. And I thought onlyAngel could brood...'

Pulling her over, past the side of the road and into a covering of trees,Riley made Buffy face him. "Buffy, there's something I need to talk to youabout."

The Slayer looked up with dull interest, "Yeah?"

"Do you remember when Maggie Walsh gave me those pills? Do you rememberwhat happened when I didn't take them?"

"Yeah, you went all nutso and icky," Buffy screwed up her nose.

Riley glared at her, "I'm glad you're so concered."

"Well, gee, you threaten me, you diss my lifestyle, my calling, and myfriends, then you expect me to be all happy-Buffy! Guess what? I'm not! Whatyou said, I have a feeling you meant it."

The commando turned red with fury, "Alright! So I was mad that you havedemons as drinking partners! We hunt them! You hunt them! But you talk tothem like normal people! They're monsters!"

Again Buffy's thoughts went to Angel. He wasn't a monster. And hearingwhat Riley said... She reached up and slapped the man in front of her.

Angel watched the scene in front of him fold out from the safety of atree. Buffy was yelling at a guy. Then the guy was flushed beyond red andyelling even louder. That's when Buffy slapped him and ran off.. Angels'first concern was for his love, so with out thinking, he ran after theenraged Slayer.

Buffy ran as fast as she could, not even thinking about where she wasgoing. When strong arms grabbed her from behind, she yelped. Thinking it wasRiley, she turned around and delievered a hard punch to whoever had grabbedher. And that's when she saw Angel holding his bloody nose.

"Ow, ow, ow..." Angel looked up at her and tried to smile, "Well, not thegreeting I was expecting... Accually, this is kinda how I pictured it, soI'm just gonna go now."

Before he could turn, he found himself restained by Buffys' hand on hisshoulder.

"Don't go."

"...Alright. See me not leaving." He looked back at her and saw tears inher eyes, "Why are you crying, Beloved?"

"I'm happy. I was wishing you'd come back, and here you are. A little beatup, but here."

Angel sighed happily as she jumped into his arms.

"Well, what do I find but my girlfriend already jumping up to someoneelse. I come here, work up the will to appollogize for what I did that week,and you've already found someone else to sleep with. Is he gonna be likeParker? He gonna dump you tommorrow for another slut?"

Buffy became ridgid in Angels' arms when she heard Rileys' voice. Looking up, she saw that one side of the commandos' face was white where he'd beenslapped. Angel growled softly, the vibrations echoing through his chest.

"Look, I don't know who the Hell you think you are even thinking ofinsulting Buffy, but you'd better say you're sorry," Angel took athreatening step forward.

Riley pulled out a small taser, "No, you'd better give her back to me."

"What the-?" Buffy didn't have time to finish before Angel threw her outof the way. She landed on the grass and looked up just in time to see thetaser bolt hit on Angels' chest. He yelled out, then fell to the ground,unmoving.

Riley yanked her up by her wrist, "You're going to come with me."

"Let me go, Riley!"

Both of them stopped when an inhuman growl sounded through the tree covering. Riley was pulled away and flung into a tall oak. Buffy ran up andkissed Angel, letting all of her love show. Angel returned the kisswholeheartedly, purring into her mouth.

Riley pulled himself up and looked over at the two. The man, no, vampire, was kissing Buffy. And she was letting him. He made a disgusted noise.

Angel looked up at the commando and snarled. Riley tried to run, but wastackled to the ground. Looking up, the last thing he saw was Angels' fangs.
