Buffy turned over in her bead and reached for the ringing phone, knocking things off her bedside table in the midst.
Who on earth would be calling me this early in the morning, she thought. Looking at her clock she noticed it wasn't early, she had just slept late; really later, it was 12:15 pm.
"Hello," she answered groggily.
"Buffy, its Willow. You're never going to believe what I found when I was looking through a wicca book," the voice said.
"Is it really important, because I am so tired. Slaying was really long last night, I didn't get home till around 1:00."
"Of course it is important. You're going to be able to be with the man who has stolen your heart," Willow exclaimed.
"Willow, Angel doesn't want me. He made that perfectly clear. Not to be rude, but I don't see how this could help."
"Would you be quiet and let me talk," Willow snapped. "I found a way to make Angel human."
"You what? You just said you found a way to make Angel human, right? Human as in living, breathing, going into the sunlight human?" Buffy screamed.
"Uh huh. That's what I said. When Tara and I were looking for a spell to turn Amy back to a human, we came across how to make a vampire human."
"Oh my gosh, Will, that is so great. Thank you so much. Mwaa, I love you. You're the best best friend ever."
"There is just one catch," Willow added, "Angel has to drink the blood of a slayer during the ritual."
"Oh," Buffy answered. She paused for a moment, "That isn't a problem, we have done it before and I'm a slayer so it should work, right?"
"Yeah, but I don't think he will be willing to drink from you. Didn't you tell me that you had to hit him t make him drink from you before the Ascension."
"I'll do what I have to; Angel is going to be human," the slayer answered determinably. "Will, I gotta go, I'm going to head to LA. Can you come with me in about an hour. I want to do this fast."
"Sure, I will be over at your house in a few," she answered.
"Thanks again, bye."
Buffy hung up the phone and a smile crept upon her face for the first time in a while.
Angel was going to be human and they could finally be together. When Riley left she had given up all hope on men, figuring she wasn't meant to find someone to love. Now, she could have the dream she had always wanted; a life with Angel.
The Slayer jumped off of her bed, raoming around her room looking for her duffel bag. When she found, she shoveled clothes into the bag, not caring if anything matched or if it was the right weather.
Soon the doorbell rang and the two girls were ready to go. Willow excited because Buffy was finally going to be happy for the first time in 2 years. Buffy was excited because now her and Angel could be together with no consequences and have the life they had always wanted together.

Buffy and Willow were in Buffy's mother's car on their way to the City of Angels. Willow, deciding she wanted to tell Cordelia what she had found, insisted on calling ahead of time; much to Buffy's dismay.
The wiccan dialed Cordelia's number and put the phone to her ear.
"Hello," she heard Cordelia say.
"Cordy, its Willow, I just.." she was cut off.
"Thank god you called. Angel has gone crazy, Willow, he fired all of us and he doesn't do anything. All he is doing is trying to kill Darla and Dru, which I may say he is not doing well at all. We need your help, tell Buffy to get her ass down here as fast as she can."
"Are you alright, that doesn't sound like Angel at all," Willow told her.
"What's wrong with Angel?" Buffy asked.
"Willow, is that Buffy? I need to talk to her; put her on," Cordelia yelled.
"Here she wants to talk to you." Willow handed Buffy the cell phone.
Buffy held the phone between her shoulder and head, "Hello," she answered.
"Oh, good. It's you," Cordelia sighed.
"Cordy, what's wrong with Angel?"
"He's gone phsyco or something. Darla and Dru are in town and he thinks he is trying to kill them, but he isn't. He fired all of us and now he just fights and sleeps and trains."
"Wait," Buffy asked, "Darla? But she is dead. I watched Angel kill her."
"Long story, short an evil law firm brought her back," Cordy explained. "But the point is you need to get here as fast as you can and help him. He is going to go all Angelus on us if we don't hurry and stop him fast."
"We will be there as soon as we can, we are already 3/4 of the way there," Buffy told her.
"Why were you on your way here?" Cordelia asked.
"Will found a spell to make him human. We were coming to make him human," Buffy answered bluntly.
"That's great, but first lets get rid of Darla."
"Ok, bye."
Buffy hung up the phone and continued her way to Los Angeles. To put it loosely, she was terrified. She couldn't deal with Angelus, Dru, and Darla together.
I hope I get there fast, she thought to herself. Angel needs me and I need him. We can't loose our chance at happiness because two sycotic horrors get in the way.
*************************
Buffy and Willow arrived at the Hyperion Hotel 45 minutes after they hung up with Cordelia. Cordelia and Wesley were waiting in the lobby for the two girls when they walked in. Some other man was standing next to them, but neither had any idea who he was.
"Buffy, thank go you're here," Wesley said. "If anyone can help him; it's you."
"I hope so," the Slayer whispered. "Where is he?" she said louder.
"Downstairs in the basement," Gunn answered.
"Thanks, I'm sorry I don't know your name," Buffy said.
"Gunn."
"Ok, Gunn, thanks. Everyone stay here. Angel and I will be up in a few minutes. Just stay away from the doors," she told them cryptically.
**************************
Buffy stopped her descension of the basement stairs, she was staring at Angel training.
Punch, punch, punch. He jabbed at the punching bag, left hand after the right.
She continued going down the stairs, when she reached the bottom she started clapping.
"Very Nice," she complimented.
"What are you doing here?" Angel asked angrily.
"Hello to you too, lover. Am I not allowed to come and see how you are doing?"
"We agreed you would stay in your town and I would stay in mine."
"Things change. Especially with you, were you planning on telling me Darla and Dru were in town?" she asked.
Angel turned around and face her.
"It doesn't concern you."
"That is where you are wrong, lover," it was the second time she had called him lover. "When you are on the verge of turning Angelus it is my concern. He comes after me and my friends."
"I'm not going to turn into Angelus," he told her.
"Then why haven't you killed Darla and Dru yet? Don't tell me you can't because I know you can. Do you still love her, is that it?"
"I don't know to answer you."
"No you don't, but I can make you."
Buffy punched him. When there was no reaction she did it again. He let her punch him yet again. Angel never hit her back, but he had always tried to block her punches. She tried another punch and still no reaction.
She decided she needed to turn it up a notch.
******************************
Buffy kicked Angel in the face, knocking him backwards. She jumped over him and waited for him to stand up. He didn't, she decided he needed a good ass kicking.
She picked him up and threw him up the stairs, causing him to land on the 5th step from the top. Each person upstairs jumped from the loud thud, but they listened to Buffy's orders and stayed away from the door.
"What is wrong with you? Why won't you fight back?" Buffy yelled at Angel.
Still no answer or reaction.
"You know I came here with a spell to make you human and right now I'm not quite sure I want to do that," she yelled once again.
With Slayer strength, Buffy picked Angel up again and threw him into the lobby. She landed ontop of him and started punching again.
"Fight back god damnit."
Finally, Buffy got a reaction. Angel bucked and threw Buffy into a nearby wall. Within seconds he was ontop of her with his vampire mask on. Growling at her, Angel punched her, but it was only blocked.
"Ok, so now you fight back. Are you going to answer my question?" Buffy screamed. "What's wrong to you?"
Angel didn't answer her, he just growled. Licking his lips, Buffy noticed how he was staring at her neck. She stood up and pulled Angel with her.
"You want to bite me? Go ahead. Come on bite me, I know you want to," she taunted.
Gunn was looking at her like she was crazy. Cordelia, Wesley, and Willow just let her do her work. They knew she would help him.
"Bite me, suck me dry. You've done it before, I know you want more. Slayer blood, it's good isn't it."
Buffy pulled her shirt to the side of her neck, giving Angel a better view.
"Drink me," she repeated as she had before the ascension.
Angel couldn't take it anymore, he bit into her neck.
"Buffy," Willow screamed. Cordelia stood silently, while Wesley walked over to a chair. Gunn just watched in amazement.
Blood was gushing down her neck as he sucked. Both of them fell to the floor.
When he realized what he was doing he quickly rolled off of her.
"Oh, god, Buffy," Angel screamed as he ran to her side.
"It's ok, I'm fine. You didn't take a lot." Buffy stood up and walked over to a chair with the help of Angel.
"See, I'm all better now," she said.
"Why did you let me do that?" he asked.
"It was the only way I could get to you. You were falling apart and I figured if you drank from me it might help. Did it?"
"I- I don't know," Angel answered honestly.
"Well, do you feel better?" Wesley urged.
"I would think so, the man just drank from her," Gunn interrupted. "By the way, where did you learn to fight like that?" he asked Buffy.
"Slayer strength, comes with the duty," she replied dully.
"Oh, right. Cordelia told me about you," Gunn retorted.
"Angel, we need to find Darla and Dru," Buffy ordered. "We have to kill them before they do any more damage."
"I know where they are," Angel stated.
"Ok. I'll go dust them, you stay here," Buffy pointed at Angel. "Your in no condition to be fighting, especially them. You couldn't do it before, your not going. Don't argue."
"Buffy," Angel started, then he saw the look in her eyes; a look of determination. "Atleast take Gunn with you."
"Fine, come on Gunn. We will be back later."
The Slayer and Gunn exited the building, on their way to kill two of the most vicious vampires ever made.
*************************
"Here is the deal," Buffy ordered, "I will go in, you just watch my back. Don't try to fight them, you won't stand a chance."
"Fine with me," Gunn replied.
Buffy kicked down the door.
"Hi, ladies," she greeted.
"Look, Dru, its Angel's little cheerleader," Darla taunted.
"The stars are telling me she is going to help Daddy and make him alive again," Dru cooed.
"Well, Dru, the stars are right. The only thing is I need to get rid of the two of you so I can actually make him human. So, are you going to cooperate or not?" Buffy answered.
"I don't think that is going to work," Darla said. "Come on, let's just fight.
Buffy and Darla circled eachother while Dru watched from the corner. It was Buffy who threw the first punch, followed by a kick to the midsection; both connecting with Darla.
Staggering backwards from the blows, Darla didn't have enough time to recover before Buffy grabbed her and threw her into a stack of wood. While trying to stand back up, Darla fell ontop of a stake; saving Buffy the trouble.
Buffy walked to where Dru was standing, getting ready to hit her. Dru was too quick, she threw a punch at Buffy, followed by another to her stomach.
The Slayer regained control, kicking Dru's legs from under her. Dru fell to the floor, before she could get up she was dust.
"Well that was fun. Let's go now," Buffy said, dusting her hands off.
She and Gunn made their way back to the Hyperion Hotel.
*******************************
"We're back," Buffy anounced, walking through the door to the hotel.
Cordelia, Wesley, and Willow were all sitting in the lobby, waiting. Angel was downstairs.
"I presume it went well," Wesley incquired.
"Definetly. Darla and Dru are dust," Buffy answered.
"Angel is downstairs," Cordy interrupted. "I thought you might like to know, Buffy."
"Thanks, Cordy," Buffy replied, making her way towards the stairs.
********************
"Angel," Buffy called.
No answer.
She tried again, "Angel."
He must be sleeping, she thought. Walking further into the basement room, she found her prediction was correct. There, tangled in the sheets, lay the man who held her heart.
The maroon sheets were tangled between his legs, leaving his muscular chest for anyone to see. Buffy looked him up and down, thinking how gorgeus he looked.
Bad thoughts, she told herself. Save those thoughts for when he is human and you can touch him again, claim him again. Ok stop, wake him up. That's why I came down here, to wake him up.
Staring at his lips, Buffy remembered how good it had felt to touch them, kiss them. She remembered how much she missed their relationship. Angel was the only person who ever fully understood her.
Riley had claimed to understand her, saying he was in the initiative, a place that was secret also; like her duty. It just wasn't the same, Riley wasn't forced to do what he had to do. He worked for the initiative because he wanted to. Riley hadn't died before, Riley hadn't had his friends put in danger or family because of his job. He hadn't sent his lover to hell, hadn't given him blood to stay alive. Only she did that, not him. He thought the secret demon killing business was the joys of life.
Little did he know, the hell it had put her threw. Still, with all the things that had happened to her, she was glad she was the Slayer. If she hadn't had been called, Angel and her never would've had the chance to love. Buffy would never had experienced love.
Sure, she had cared for Riley, but never had love been in the equation. Angel had spoiled her for love, anyone she met she always compared to Angel. The vampire was the number one guy for her.
Now, with the spell Willow had found, her and Angel could finally have a future. No more excuses for leaving her, everything he wanted for her, he could give her. Sunlight, kids, love making, the whole package.
Smiling to herself, Buffy walked over to Angel, placing a soft kiss to his lips. It wasn't deep or rough, just enough to wake him up.
Halfway awake, Angel deepened the kiss. Thinking it was a dream, Angel didn't register at first that he was actually kissing Buffy.
Angel pulled her into his arms. Buffy was now laying ontop of him in the bed. Not a good idea, he was still a vampire with soul problems. Later, she told herself, after the spell.
Now, fully aware of what was going on, Angel pulled back with Buffy still laying on him.
"I'm sorry," he apologized. "I shouldn't have done that, you have Riley and your life in Sunnydale. It was wrong."
"Don't be sorry, Angel. I kissed you."
Buffy rolled off of him so that she was next to him and looking into his eyes. She continued,"Riley left me. He said I couldn't give him what he needed. He was right. I couldn't give him those things because I already gave them to you. I didn't want him to have those things." she paused,"When he left it made me realize some things. I want you, not Riley, not anyone else, you. After you left I fell apart. Slowly I was dying inside. I couldn't give Riley those things because they were locked away, waiting for you to come back. Part of me always thought you were only leaving for a little while, part of me still does. Angel, I want you back. I need you. Let us try it again, please. Let me make this decision for once."
"Buffy we can't, my soul," Angel answered simply.
"Not an issue. Remember when I was arguing with you in the lobby when I first arrived. I told you that I came here to make you human, I meant it. Willow found a spell."
"I can't be human, not again. Without my strength you will die, I will die. Innocent people will die."
"Another not issue. When the Morah demon made you human, it took your strength, but this spell is different. Will told me you keep all of your vampire traits except for blood drinking, your game face, and crosses and holy water. You still heal fast and have strength."
"You remember?" Angel asked.
"I do, and I'm not mad. That's another thing that made me realize I didn't want Riley, you gave up your humanity for me. You're something no one can compare to, you're always thinking of other people before yourself."
"Still, I am sorry," he said.
"Stop apologizing," she snapped. "You never answered my question, do you want to give us another chance, do you want Willow to do the spell?"
"I do."
Those two words were so simple, but held such a tremundous meaning behind them. A new life for both Buffy and Angel, a life they never thought could happen. Sunlight, children, everything a normal couple could want.
"Then lets go do it."
Buffy grabbed Angel's hand and led him upstairs. On the way up, Angel grabbed a white t-shirt, throwing it on, he followed her.
*****
"Alright, let's do it. Will, do you have all the ingrediants?" Buffy asked, emerging from the basement with Angel right behind her.
"All ready, ma'ma," Willow announced, saluting Buffy.
"Tell us what to do," Angel said.
He couldn't wait until he was human. A new, perfect life for Buffy and him.
Willow walked towards the middle of the lobby. She drew a circle with four dots equally spaced out.
"Gunn, Cordelia, and Wesley. I need each of you to stand on a dot," Willow orded. "Angel and Buffy, ya'll are in the middle of the circle. When the time comes, Angel you're going to have to drink from Buffy again."
"What?" Angel whispered. "Buffy, you didn't tell me that part. I *will* not endanger your life again. I can't."
"Angel, you have to. Its the only way. Don't make me go kamakazi Buffy again. I will kick your ass until you agree." Buffy took a deep breath. "Think about it," she said looking into his eyes while holding his hands in hers. "We can be together now, a normal life. Kids, sunlight, we can go on pic-nics in the park. We can go to the beach, and fairs. Go out to lunch with my friends and yours."
"I want all of that as much as you do. But, I can't drink from you, not for the third time," Angel said, determined not to hurt her again.
"Listen to me. You *have* to, think about what we can have. Please, Angel."
"If it helps, Buffy will have to drink a certain potion, when you're finished drinking form her, she will be fine. No bloodloss," Willow interrupted.
"As long as you promise she won't be hurt," Angel looked towards Willow.
"Girl Scout's honor," the witch promised.
"Alright I'll do it," the vampire finally gave in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Ok, lets get started," Willow said. "Cordelia, Wesley, and Gunn are in place. The three of you are just barriers so the spell stays in the circle. You don't have to do anything except stand still until I tell you to move." Each of Angel's co-workers were standing on a dot.
"Buffy and Angel I need you to get in the middle," the witch instructed. "Since Buffy drank the potion, nothing will happen to her. I promise, Angel."
"Now, when I throw the the herbs into the bowl you need to start drinking. A force will pull you from her and make your chest start hurting; that is when you need to stop drinking. If you don't stop drinking, the force will pull you off," Willow said.
Angel and Buffy nodded.
Willow walked to her spot in the circle. She stood holding a brown bowl.
"Octenia Sturnamia Lednia," Willow chanted. "Remove the evil from this being."
The redhead dropped the herbs into the bowl she was holding, signaling Angel to start drinking.
Buffy pulled her shirt to the side, exposing her neck. Angel looked at her with a loving glance and changed into his game face.
He descended upon her neck. Biting down, he let the copper blood rush through his mouth.
Willow continued her chanting. "Hectumnia residualia modernia. The human body is ready for the human soul."
Buffy's best friend lit a dropped a flame into the bowl and like she said Angel's chest began to hurt him.
An enormous pain surged through his body. Buffy stood still wanting to help him, but she found she couldn't move.
"Make him human. Jughnamia Renewlia." Willow dropped the bowl to the floor, instead of it crashing it disappeared.
All the lights in the room went out and Angel fell to the ground. The force holding Buffy back broke and she ran to her lover.
She cradled his head in her lap, whispering 'I love you' to him.
The lights came back on and a surge of wind whipped through the lobby.
Angel sucked in a deep breath.
"Buffy," he moaned. He opened his eyes, "It worked. I'm human."
"I know," she smiled down at him.
The newly made human pulled himself up and caught Buffy's lips in a kiss.
"We have forever know," he whispered.
"I know, and to have this chance I would do everything the same again in a heartbeat. I would do anything to have this and now I do. My life couldn't be more perfect," she answered.
Sorry it was so short? I think this is the end? but if ya'll want a sequel tell me and I will see what I can do about it. No feedback, no sequel. Evil, I know!!!!
