PART ONE

Buffy awoke to find the love of her life staring into her eyes.

"Hey," Angel greeted.

"I like waking up in your arms," she said.

"Me too," he replied, giving her a kiss. The kiss deepened until Buffy finally had to break away for air.

"I love you. You know that right?" Buffy stated, more than asked.

"I had an inkling," Angel replied, flashing her one of his sexy half smiles, "And I love you more than I ever thought I could love anything," He then looked at the clock that was over Buffy's shoulder, "What time did Giles say he wanted us to report to the library for training?"

"Uh, seven? Why?" Buffy asked.

"Because it is ten of seven now," Angel said, getting up.

"Do we have to?"

"You know we do."

"Okay, well as long as I get to be with you, I'll be happy."

"My sentiments exactly. We'd better get dressed."

"Yeah, you know Giles and promptness. Uh, Angel, do you have any clothes that would fit me?"

"Not for training. I guess you'll have to stop by your house and get your workout clothes."

"Fine. I'll meet you at the library in a few minutes."

"I love you, Buffy."

"I love you, too." With that, Angel was gone, into the sewers and on his way to the library. Buffy, too, was gone, running to her house, and hoping she could make it before her mother woke up.

PART TWO

"Ah, Buffy, good. You're only ten minutes late. And where is Angel?" Giles asked, looking for his Slayer's training partner.

"Right here," Angel replied. He had been lurking in the shadows until his love walked into the room. He had come up behind her and placed his arm around her petite waist.

"Hey again," he said, then asked, "Are you ready for a workout?"

"Sure," she replied. Taking her sweatshirt off, she settled into a fighting stance. Angel moved opposite her. Buffy took the offensive. Throughout the training session Buffy and Angel would kiss whenever they were close enough. After the session, Angel went back to his apartment, but not before he gave Buffy a deep kiss goodbye and agreeing to meet her back in the library after school. Once Angel had left, Willow rushed up to Buffy, her mouth going a mile a minute, "What was up with you and Angel today? You guys were giving each other googly-eyes nonstop. Why are you wearing the same clothes you wore yesterday? Is that a new ring?"

"Whoa, slow down. And the reason I'm wearing the same clothing as yesterday is that I spent the night with Angel, and he gave me the ring," Buffy answered, waiting for her best friend to process the information.

"Spent the night with . . . does that mean . . . you and Angel..?"

"Yeah."

"Wow."

"Tell me about it."

"Wow."

"Don't tell Giles or Xander, though. They don't need to know."

"Yeah, sure, but won't they notice that something's up?"

"Please, Willow, they're guys."

"Oh, right. What about Cordelia? She notices if you wear the same thing twice in a month."

"You're right. If she asks, I'll tell her, but otherwise, it's just between you and me. I guess she'll know soon. We have first period with her in two minutes."

PART THREE

(I know I ended the last part one way and started this part another way, but I'm the author so I can do whatever I want with the story, but for those of you who absolutely need to know uh, Cordelia found out and, acting completely out of character, congratulated Buffy on landing the one guy she couldn't. Now back to the story)

Angel and Buffy were in Angel's apartment talking, like they had been doing for the last two hours. "Buffy I think we should tell her," Angel said.

"Tell who?" she replied.

"Your mother."

"Okay, Angel, honey, you're talking crazy talk."

"Love makes you do the wacky. Didn't you tell me that?"

"Yeah, but what do you want to tell my mother? And what exactly do you want to tell her? That we're together? That I'm the Slayer? That you're a vampire?"

"All of the above?"

"Angel!"

"Well, it's just that I know you feel like you can't really talk with her because of the slaying thing, and I'm sure she feels left out of your life. And I want to know her and I want her to know me. The way our relationship is going, I have the feeling she'll be seeing more of me."

"Considering the only time she's seen you up til now was when I first invited you into my home, I think `more of' is an understatement."

"That reminds me, does she still think I'm your tutor?"

"Probably. Okay, so tell her everything? When?"

"Well, it's almost sunset now. No time like the present, right?"

"Sure, why not? I'll call her to let her know I'll have a guest at dinner. But after patrolling, I get a reward, right?"

"Of course," Angel said as he kissed her intensely.

PART FOUR

"Are you ready, love?" Angel asked Buffy as they were standing outside the Summers home, trying to muster up the courage to face Joyce.

"As I'll ever be. But I'm not the one my mother will want to maim by the end of night," Buffy quipped.

"Do you really think she'll be that mad?"

"Mad? Why would she be mad? You're a 244 year old vampire who's corrupted her 17 year old only daughter."

"You'll help me out if she comes at me with a stake right?" he asked, only half joking.

"Of course. On three we go in. Ready? One, two," Buffy said, as she opened the door.

In the kitchen, Buffy could hear her mother putting the finishing touches on what smelled like steaks and caesar salad. "Buffy, is that you?" Joyce called.

"Yeah mom, it's me. And my friend."

"Have a seat at the table, dinner will be out in just a sec."

Buffy and Angel moved two chairs close together and sat down, holding hands under the table. After whispering a few last minute reassurances to each other, Joyce walked into the room and almost dropped the salad bowl she was carrying.

"Hi Mom," Buffy said.

"Hello Mrs. Summers," Angel greeted.

"Uh, hello. Angel, isn't it?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Buffy can I see you in the kitchen for a moment?"

"Whatever you have to say to me you can say in front of Angel."

"Fine, Buffy. When you said you were bringing a guest home, I thought you meant a boyfriend, not your history tutor."

"I did bring my boyfriend. Mom. And he's not my tutor."

"Oh. Well then, nice to see you again Angel."

"Nice to see you too Mrs. Summers."

PART FIVE

Dinner was filled with awkward silences and inaudible discussions between Buffy and Angel. Once dessert time rolled around, Buffy and Angel had finally decided on how to tell Joyce, the direct approach. "Mom," Buffy started, "I have something really important to tell you. I know you're not going to believe it, and if you do believe me, you won't like it."

"What is it Buffy? Did you get kicked out of school again?" Joyce asked.

"This has nothing to do with school, but it is the reason I burnt down the gym at Hemery."

"You might want to sit down for this Mrs. Summers," Angel advised.

"Mom, I'm the Vampire Slayer. I slay vampires, demons, warlocks, etc. The Hemery gym was full of vampires; that's why I had to burn it down."

"What are you talking about, Buffy? Vampires aren't real. Never have been."

"That is not true Mrs. Summers, and believe me, I should know," Angel said, brooding.

"Hey, no brooding tonight, remember? I need your help with this," Buffy told Angel.

"So why are you the expert, Angel?" Joyce asked.

"Because I am one."

"One what? Are you a so-called Slayer, too?"

"No, Mom, he's a vampire, but a good one. The only good one. Angel, wanna be a visual aid?"

"Visual aid? Oh, you mean, sure, but please get any pointy wooden things away from your mother first," Angel asked. Buffy did as Angel asked and grabbed her lover's hand to comfort him. She knew that Angel was sensitive about people seeing his game face. Within a few seconds, she heard him growl. She turned to face him and saw his teeth sharpen and elongate, his eyes turn a feral yellow, and his brow protrude and furrow, but none of that could take away from the beauty she saw in his face. While she was staring at her love's handsome face, her mother began screaming. And didn't stop screaming until Buffy explained to her what exactly a Slayer was and what Angel was.

Joyce Summers was not too happy when she learned that, not only was her daughter the Slayer, but she was in love with a vampire. Eventually, though, she saw how much in love the two were and came to accept it. In senior year, Buffy and Angel decided to move in together.

They found a great place on Crawford Street that had enough room for them to train and thick curtains to keep out the sunlight. They have been living happily together for many years and have never stopped fighting the good fight . . . together.

The End

Thank you guys who are actually reading this. Yes, I realize that they did get kinda out of character, but I warned you in the beginning that this story was just a means to an end(getting the idea out of my head). I hope you all don't judge my writing by this fic. I just wrote this in like 2 hours and I have too much stuff going on in my life to spend a lot of time on it, but I promise that when I get a break from school and an idea, I will write a fic worthy of this list. =^}
