Summery: a few weeks later, the scooby's meet the vamps...
"Faith!" Xander cried, gesturing toward the couch he and Willow sat on. Oz, Willow's new friend, and crush, was sitting on a chair.
They had learned before that Faith was a really special girl. That she was a Slayer, and that she hunted the undead at night. From first hand experience, Willow was thankful for the brunette girl. Xander was just pleased that he had another bud who could kick serious butt.
"Hey," Oz said.
Faith smiled as she sat down in between the red head and the jokster. She wrapped her arms around there shoulders, "So, what's going on in good old Sunnydale?"
Willow thought, "Oh! Well, Xander got hit over the head with a basket ball!"
"Will!" Xander started, trying to fix his wounded pride.
"It was quite the sight," Oz commented.
"Sorry," She said sheepishly.
Xander sighed, "So, what's the Watcher man have planned for ya?"
Faith sighed, "Ah, some new weapons... we're going with staffs."
"Like Friar Tuck, staff?" Willow asked, smiling, "Cool!"
"Yeah, you can stake vamps and twirl it like a baton," Xander encouraged.
Faith rolled her eyes, "Yeah. Big fun! I'd rather dance and get some ribs."
"See?" Willow said, "Food is important to a girl."
Faith looked at Xander, "Damn right it is."
They chuckled.
"Whoa!" Xander started, looking off onto the dance floor, "Babe at five o'clock."
Willow frowned, "Xander, five o'clock is facing the wall over there."
Xander sighed, "Fine. Babe over there." He pointed.
The two girls followed his gaze, and immediately Willow frowned. It was a blond haired girl. She looked around nineteen, but with shorter hair she was sure she could pass off as a high schooler. She was dressed in black slacks, and a matching tight sweater. Her hair was curled around the ends, and she looked like she was looking for someone.
"Should I go mingle?" Xander asked, wanting to.
"Maybe," Faith started, then frowned when she saw who the blond was with. A very skinny looking guy, who was wearing something that she would only see in old magazines, movies, and vampires.
Standing up, she started the others.
"Faith? What's wrong?" Willow asked, startled.
"The brunette's a vamp," Faith gritted out, watching as the two walked out of the Bronze, "I gotta go save blondie."
She ran toward the door.
"Wait!" Xander, Willow, and Oz followed.

They ran outside, then came to a halt at what they saw.
The blond was fighting the vampire. And with great ease.
She elbowed him and quickly grabbed his arm. With one movement, she had him against the wall, and dusted.
She sighed, brushing off the dust on her outfit when she heard a growl in the darkness. She gasped once she saw a vampire, dressed in armor, who threw a tall dark man into a pile of garbage.
She turned toward the vampire, and threw her stake at him, the stake breaking the all ready broken bit of armor, piercing his heart. But she didn't even here the vampire's cry. She was already by the fallen man's side. Brushing the garbage aside as she helped him up, "Oh, God, Angel." She murmured, lifting him up.
He winced loudly and she gasped again when she saw the large cut in his abdomen. Blood trickling, and staining his shirt.
"Oh, wow, that's deep," She said, supporting him.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
"I knew you would be out stalking the Three," She sighed, "What were you thinking? You couldn't take on the Three alone!"
"Ah, excuse me?"
The pair turned to see the group had been watching.
The tall boy smiled sheepishly, "Ah, you mind telling us what's going on?"
"And how the hell you know how to slay vampires?" Faith demanded.
The two gazed at one another, then sighed.
"I so didn't want to meet like this..." She whined.
He looked down at her, "She's gonna have to know sooner or later..."
She nodded, turning back to Faith, "Do you have some place we could go?"
Faith eyed the two suspiciously, then nodded, "Yeah... come with me..."

"Faith?" Giles started, placing the book on what little resource he had on the Master back onto the table. He watched as his Slayer came in with her friends, and two new comers. Faith immediately stood by her Watcher, Willow, Oz, and Xander doing the same as the blond lowered the man into a chair.
"You are so stupid," Buffy said, taking off his jacket and placing it beside her. She then lifted up his shirt, "I can't believe you went and did that."
"I had to," Angel protested, then hissed when Buffy's hands began to tend to the wound.
Buffy glared at him, "You're stupid."
"Uh, Faith," Giles began, "Do you mind telling me what exactly is going on?"
"That's what I'd like to know, G." Faith said, folding her arms across her chest.
"We can explain," Angel spoke up, then winced at Buffy's touch. She gave him an apologetic look before reaching into her sweater and producing a patch to cover the wound. Always be prepared.... that's what Whistler said.
She silently cursed Whistler.
"Is he gonna be okay?" The red head asked, a look of real concern on her face.
Buffy looked at her, "Yeah... he'll be fine..." She turned to look at him, "After I kick his ass."
"Lil--" He caught himself, "Buffy--"
"No." She snapped, "You were foolish, and arrogant, and you weren't even thinking clearly! You could have been killed! The Three are some of the Master's strongest vampires, Angel. Or did you forget that?"
He started to get up, but she shoved him back into the chair. She was so angry. Her whole body shook as she let out all her fustration from the past years, "Okay, so its been ninety nine years! Okay, so I haven't seen you since Budapest! Okay, you went your way, and I went mine. That's fine, but God dammit, Angel! I will not let you die! I will not have your life on my hands!"
Angel glanced at the others who looked confused, then back to Buffy, "Buffy, we should talk about this later--"
"No," Buffy cried, "We will not talk about this later!"
Angel saw her face scrunch up in pain, tears falling down her face, "I damned you..." She whispered, "I... I took your life away from you... if I hadn't gone to..." Buffy sniffed, "Maybe you could have lived. Maybe... maybe you could have watched your family... maybe you could have watched your sister grow up! Watched her marry... maybe you could have married yourself and had kids... I took all those things away from you... and I know... I know I can never do anything to make up for it."
Angel swallowed hard, blocking the tears of his own. Though he felt guilty for his own crimes, he wanted his sire to suffer for many years. He felt a part of him blaming her for what she did to him. But now... now he saw just how much she regretted doing the things she did. How much pain she felt... how she couldn't stand the thought of...
Buffy bit her lip, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
Standing up, he did something he hadn't done in a long time. He reached out... and he hugged her. Held her tightly in his embrace as she sobbed, murmuring to him how sorry she was. How much she wished things would have been different for him.
"Is anyone else confused?" Xander blurted out.
"Xander!" Willow hissed, hitting him in the ribs.

By the time Buffy was calmed down, she had fallen asleep. Angel sat with her in his arms, trying to think about where to begin. These people needed an explaination, and with Buffy out, he was the one who had to.
It had been two weeks since he and Buffy had met again for the first time. After that, they had somehow met one another all the time. It had always been awkward, not knowing what to say to the other. And so tense that the only way to get that feeling out of their system was to go hunting. That helped.
"Is she gonna be okay?" Willow asked, sitting in one of the chairs next to Xander and Oz.
Angel looked down at Buffy, "She will be..."
"Mind fessing up what that was about?" Faith started, still standing next to her Watcher who had furrowed his brows the moment they had walked in and had yet to unfurrow them.
"I could..." Angel started, "But... but you might not be too receptive to what I have to say..."
Xander laughed, "Try us! Okay, we have seen almost everything. Vampires, witches, creepy stalking mantis ladies..."
"Ever heard of a cursed vampire?" Angel asked.
Xander stopped chuckling, "Okay, that one's new..."
Angel stood up, holding Buffy in his arms, "Read up on Angelus and Lilith... you should find something in there that will help you... if it makes it any easier, read up on the Kalderash clan." And then he was gone.
Oz stood, "So... Will and I call Kalderash."
