Spoilers: I Will Remember You
Disclaimer: The only thing I own is the plot. Everything 'Buffy' and 'Angel' belongs to Joss and company.
Authors Note: This the first in a new series I'm starting. It takes place about a month and a half after 'I Will Remember You'.

Willow walked into the small dorm room she shared with Buffy to find her roommate curled in a ball, sobbing on her bed. She dropped her books on the floor and ran to her friends side. Sitting gently on the edge of the bed she shook her Buffy's shoulder. "Buffy, what's wrong?"

"Will?" Buffy sat up and wiped the remaining tears from her eyes. "I didn't realize you were back. I'm fine. Nothing's wrong, really."

"Don't lie to me, Buffy. I walked into the room and found you sobbing your heart out, and you expect me to believe everything's fine?" Willow grabbed a box of tissue off the night stand and handed it to Buffy. "Now, talk to me Buffy. I'm your best friend, you can tell me anything. Why were you crying?"

"Well, you know how I've been kinda sick the last few days?" She waited for Willow to nod before continuing. "Giles was worried so he made a doctors appointment. I went, just to keep him off my back."

"What happened?" Willow asked gently. "What did the doctor tell you?"

"I'm pregnant, Will," Buffy choked out as tears started streaming down her face again.

"Pregnant? How?" Willow stammered.

Buffy raised an eyebrow.

"I know how, but who? When? I mean, you haven't... You haven't, have you?"

"No, I haven't," Buffy answered. "The last person I was with was Parker and the was ages ago. I doctor said I'm about a month and a half along."

Buffy wiped her eyes with a tissue. "That would have been around Thankgiving and I was visiting my dad. I don't understand how-"

"I think I can explain," a familiar voice said from behind them.

Buffy looked over at the door and saw Cordelia leaning against the frame. "Cordy!" she exclaimed jumping of the bed and running over to give her a hug.

"I hope you guys don't mind," Cordelia said as she let Buffy go and hugged Willow. "The door was open."

"No, it's fine," Buffy said as she and Willow sat on the edge of her bed. Cordelia sat across from them on Willow's. "What are you doing here?"

"I had a vision this morning. About what you guy's were just talking about," Cordelia told them. "I think I know why Buffy's pregnant."

"You do? How? Why?" Buffy asked.

"Buffy, have you been having any strange dreams lately? About Angel?" Cordelia asked.

"Well, there this one I keep having. About Angel being human. It happens during Thanksgiving. Why?"

"You never told me about that dream," Willow pouted. "You always tell me about you dreams."

"Sorry," Buffy shrugged.

"Those dreams are real. They really happened. Angel was turned human when his blood was mixed with the blood of a Morha demon. You two spent the day, doing God knows what, in his apartment."

Buffy giggled, remembering a part of her dream. "The kitchen table."

"What?"

"Uh, nothing. Please continue."

"The Morha demon came back bigger and stronger and Angel went to fight it. He would have lost if you hadn't came along. After he asked the Oracles to turn him back. They took back the day. Only Angel remembers."

"How do you know then?" Willow asked.

"Angel told Doyle, Doyle told me." Cordelia answered.

"So, that means the baby's Angel's," Buffy smiled, then frowned. "But how? If the day was erased..."

"Now, that I don't know, but there is something else I need to tell you."

"What?"

"Angel's soul is permanent."

"What!" Buffy gasped. "Why hasn't he told me? How?"

"The Oracles admired his strength and courage for giving up his humanity so they got read of the loop hole in curse." Cordelia explained. "As for why he hasn't told, well, we all know how stubborn he is. That and he just found out the other day. He's probably still in shock."

"Wow, this is great," Willow exclaimed. "You guys can be together, and raise the baby as a family."

"I know, and if they get back together, he'll stop brooding and I might get a raise," Cordelia smirked.

"I don't know you guys-"

"He has a right to know, Buffy," Willow reminded her.

"I know. And I am going to tell him, but... there's so much I have to think about."

"Well, you can think about it on the way to LA," Cordelia grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the door.

"Will, help!" Buffy called jokeingly.

Willow just sat there with a big grin on her face and waved. "Bye."

Buffy stood outside 'Angel Investigations' and waved good-bye to Cordelia as she drove off. She hesitated a second before opening the front door and walking in.

Angel, who was walking out of his office flipping through a file, heard her come in. "Cordelia, I... Buffy."

"Angel," she said with a small smile.

"What are you doing here?" he asked bluntly, surprised to see her.

"I was in the neighbourhood?" Buffy offered. He just stared. "We need to talk. Is there anywhere we can go?"

"Sure," he nodded and motioned for her to follow him.

"Can I get you anything?" Angel asked. "Coffee? Tea? Cordelia keeps the fridge stocked."

"Why didn't you tell me your soul was permanent?" Buffy demanded, ignoring his question.

"W-What? How did you..."

"Cordelia, but that doesn't matter. Why didn't you tell me?" Buffy demanded again.

"Because I want you to have a normal life. You deserve someone who can take you into the sun, some who can give you a family."

"But you've already gave me that, Angel!" Buffy yelled. She gasped when she realized what she had just said.

"What are you talking about, Buffy?"

"I'm pregnant, Angel. She looked up at him. "The Oracles may have took the day from us but they didn't take this." She put her hand over her stomach.

"You remember?" he asked.

"I've had dreams. Cordy filled me in on the rest."

Angel walked over to her and dropped to his knees. He put his hands over her stomach. "This is amazing, but how?"

"I don't know," Buffy kneeled down so she could look him in the eye. "But I'm glad. This is our chance to start over. We can be a real family."

"Are you sure?" He asked looking her in the eye.

"Of course I'm sure." She put her hand on his chest. "Angel, I want this baby and I want you to be in it's life. I want you to be in my life."

Angel leaned in and kissed her gently. Buffy smiled against his mouth and wrapped her arms around his neck deepening the kiss. Angel slipped his hand under her shirt and Buffy brought her hands down and started unbuttoning his shirt.

Just then Cordelia barged into the apartment. "Buffy? Angel? Have you guys-" She saw them kissing on the floor. "Never mind." She turned on her heel and went back up to the office. Buffy and Angel broke apart laughing.

"She's gonna give us hell for that next time she sees us."

"Oh, yeah," Buffy agreed with a yawn.

"It's late." Angel helped her up off the floor. "You're tired." He grabbed her hand and she followed him to the bedroom. "Sleep. You need it."

Buffy laid down on the bed. "Are you going to stay with me?"

"I will if you want me to."

"I do." Buffy sighed happily and closed her eyes as Angel slipped in beside her and wrapped his arms around her, his hands resting on her belly. "Angel?"

"Mmm?"

"Promise you'll never leave me again?"

"I promise."

"Good." Buffy snuggled closer and drifted off into the first peaceful sleep she'd had since Angel left.
