Buffy was exhausted by the time she laid down next to Angel to sleep. It was her first day home from the hospital, and she'd been rushing all over the place, trying to catch up on what she'd missed over the past week when she'd been out of communication.
And now she got to do what she'd been looking forward to doing since she'd gone in to the ER on last Friday. Lay down with her lover and just relax.
Angel was already asleep, like he normally was at three in the afternoon. Buffy slipped off her clothes and pulled on one of his shirts. It was her favorite thing to sleep in. She crawled in bed next to him, and he murmured something in his sleep, then pulled her closer to him.
She smiled and closed her eyes, resting her head in the crook of his arms.
She was asleep almost immediately.

Faith sat on the bed Indian style, flipping through a magazine. She looked up at Buffy, and the blond girl sat across from her on the bed. "Haven't seen you for a while," Buffy said, stretching out.
"Nah. I've been kinda busy lately," Faith said, tossing the magazine over her shoulder. "Still, I hear things. Big bro came and visited me when you were sick." Buffy frowned in confusion. Faith didn't seem to notice. "He told me about the toy soldier and what happened." Faith stood up. "Help me make the bed. It has to be nice and clean for when lil' sis comes."
Dutifully, Buffy stood up and began smoothing the already perfect white sheets. "Who's lil' sis?"
Faith just smiled and fluffed up a pillow. "Big bro said toy soldier was the daddy. I tried to tell him that wasn't right, but he didn't listen. Will you?"
"What do you mean?" Buffy questioned, confused.
"You got some powerful friends," Faith continued casually. "Go visit the knowing ones. They'll help." Faith stepped around the bed, facing her. "You ready to go?" she asked, reaching out to touch Buffy.
"No, I need to know, who's little sis-"
Faith touched Buffy's hand before the blond could finish her sentence.

Buffy opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. What the hell was that about?

"The knowing ones," Giles said softly, frowning. He took off his glasses and began cleaning them. "I'm afraid I… don't recognize the term… are you sure it was a prophecy dream?"
They were all gathered in the front room at Giles's apartment, discussing Buffy's dream from the previous night.
Buffy resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him. "No, Giles, I'm not sure of anything. I just guessed was one, `cause it wasn't a normal dream."
"And how do you know what a normal dream is?" Giles questioned next. Angel, who's lap she was sitting in, shifted a little. "Doyle, isn't there something with the Oracles…?"
Doyle frowned. "Yeah. The incantation to get in there uses that term. Maybe they want you to go see them?"
"Well, why wouldn't Doyle have gotten a vision?" Cordelia questioned, leaning on the chair behind the half demon.
Xander, who sat on the couch with Anya, Willow and Oz, raised his hand. "Question. For those who don't know, who are the Oracles?"
"They're prophets." Giles answered thoughtfully. "Only warriors for the good side are allowed in to visit them, correct?"
Angel nodded. "As far as I know."
"I have to guess that toy soldier is Fish Boy," Xander said, frowning. "Who's this little sister chick? And the big brother?" He looked up, startled by his own thoughts. "Does she have like a big brother who's gonna come beat you up for putting her in a coma?"
Everybody stared at him for a moment. "Uh-huh." Buffy said slowly. "Moving on."
"I would assume that means you're to go visit the Oracles." Giles said after a long moment.
"Buffy is?" Doyle questioned. "'Cause I know-ah!" He doubled over, clutching his head.
Cordelia and Angel, used to this by now, went to his side, Angel a little slower because he had Buffy in his lap.
"What's wrong?" Willow questioned, half standing.
"He's having a vision." Cordelia answered casually as she and Angel helped him into the chair again.
Angel glanced at Giles. "Can you get him a drink?"
Giles nodded, and grabbed a decanter and glass. Doyle groaned. "I swear, one day when I meet those damn powers… I'm gonna punch `em right in the face."
"What'd you see?" Cordelia questioned, handing him the glass and a few pills.
"The Oracles. They want Angel and the Slayer to go."
"Solves that problem," Xander muttered.
Angel sat down again, and Buffy let him wrap his arms around her. "When do we leave then, Angel?" Buffy questioned. "'Cause you're driving `cause I don't have a car."
"And you can't drive." Willow said, smiling a little.
Buffy shrugged. "Details, details."
Angel glanced at the clock. "We can leave as soon as you get a bag packed. The sun will be up to quickly for us to come back again tonight."
Buffy sighed. "All right then. I guess we'll go do that." She stood up, and pulled her jacket on. Angel began pulling his on too.
"You want us to come with?" Cordelia questioned.
"No, stay here," Angel said, glancing at Doyle. He was still clutching his head. "If he gets any more visions, call me."
Cordelia nodded. "Have fun," she said smirking. "All day alone tomorrow."
Buffy rolled her eyes.

"The Slayer and the Vampire."
"Where is our gift?" the woman questioned immediately.
Buffy rolled her eyes as she looked around. Beautiful place…
"Here," Angel said, tossing a fancy looking vase over to the female. Mid-air, it shifted directions and landed in her hands.
"Cool." Buffy said, nodding a little. She clutched Angel's hands. "What's the deal with my dreams?" she asked, still looking around the room.
"It has been assumed by you that the mortal child is the father." The male said in a bored tone.
"Yeah, `cause vampires can't-"
"With a normal person they can't. With a being touched with power, like yourself, they can." The woman looked at Angel. "It is your child."
Buffy's mouth dropped open, and she looked at Angel, who was just as stunned. "Oh," Buffy said softly.
Angel kissed the top of her head, then looked at the Oracles again. "What about this little sister and big brother thing?"
The two Oracles exchanged looks, and the woman paused for a moment. "The auguries say that it will be revealed in time."
They turned and began to leave. "Take care of this child." The woman said. "It will be important."

The mood between them was twenty times lighter than it had been for a long time. After they were thrown out of the Oracle Chamber, they exchanged a long, passionate kiss. "Congratulations, Daddy," Buffy said softly, so relieved by that news that she was near tears.
He kissed her again. "I love you, baby," he said, then surprised her by sweeping her off her feet and into his arms. She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck.
They made their way back to the car, then eventually the apartment again.
And they were very grateful that Cordelia and Doyle had stayed in Sunnydale.

"So it's Angel's baby?" Willow asked happily.
Buffy smiled and shifted, tracing her fingers over Angel's chest as she talked on the phone. "Uh-huh."
"That's great!" Willow said happily. "'Cause now Riley's out of the picture, and that's great!"
"Tell me about it," Buffy said, smiling.
Angel gazed up at her, and tugged on the hem of the shirt she was wearing. "Hurry up," he ordered quietly.
She rolled her eyes. Willow was beaming on the other end of the line. "Should I tell the gang? Or no?"
"Go ahead," Buffy said happily. "I'm just so happy that it's not that freak's that you can tell Spike."
"Oooh, you must be happy!" Willow teased.
Angel began unbuttoning her shirt. Buffy shifted, trying to get him to stop, but not really caring if he did or not. "Yeah. It's so wonderful."
"What did Angel say?"
Buffy closed her eyes as Angel began kissing her now bare stomach. "He's very happy too."
"Like, the curse would break if it could happy, or even more, Angel's smiling happy."
"The second." Buffy answered, her grip tightening on the phone. Angel's fingers traced across the tops of her breasts. "I've got to go." Buffy said suddenly. She closed her eyes. "To take a shower."
"Uh-huh." Willow said, not buying it for a second. "Angel's right there, and he's doing something to you."
"Willow! Banish the thought." Buffy squirmed a little as Angel began tickling her. "Bye."
She hung up the phone before the redhead could comment. Angel gazed up at her, innocent as always. "There a problem baby?"
She laid down next to him again. "Only if you don't kiss me again…"
