*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
There was something going on, Angel realized as he looked over the girls who were gathered in the office. All were giggling like crazy, and the giggles intensified when they walked in.
The other guys didn't seem to notice, and continued on in. Spike and Giles got the two remaining chairs, and Xander went to sit with Anya. Doyle stood near Cordelia.
Buffy left her seat behind Angel's desk to hurry over to her lover. Their lips met for a passionate kiss. It was far more excited than what Angel was used to, so when he and Buffy broke apart from each other, he eyed her oddly.
Willow, Cordy, and Anya were laughing when they finished, and the males rolled their eyes. "PDA champs strike again," Willow said lightly.
"How was demon killing?" Buffy asked, ignoring the comments her friends made.
"Apparently not as exciting as your day," Angel responded. "What's going on?" When they'd left, Buffy had been in a snit, angry she couldn't kill the demon. The demon they'd had to fight had only been killable by a male. Something about the chemical differences in them. Buffy had made all of the guys go, even though Angel had insisted he'd be able to handle it on his own.
Buffy smiled happily. "We didn't go shopping today," she informed him, pulling him a little farther from the group so they couldn't hear as well.
"So what'd you do then?" Xander asked, having overheard that part.
Cordelia jumped up, grinning. "Sorry, Buff, but I've gotta," she said, apoligizing even as she pushed a button on the cd player.
Buffy smiled at her lover. "Okay, Angel. Listen to the lyrics, very carefully."
The music was unfamiliar to Angel, despite Buffy's attempts to have taught him about modern music, so it took him a few moments of listening to the lyrics understand.
Xander and Doyle got it immediately, and their mouths dropped open.
////"...Funny how she always cried out daddy
I got a big surprise
She said, I'm in trouble and I cannot wait
She's ten days late
And boy your life got complicated
Well I can't wait to see this through
She's ten days late..."/////
Angel's mouth dropped open and he gaped at Buffy.
The look on his face was priceless as he stared at her, and the Slayer found herself wishing for a camera. She smiled uneasily, suddenly feeling nervous. "We're having a baby."
He blinked. "I'm sorry... did you just say...?"
She nodded.
Angel grabbed her and kissed her.

Willow was bouncing on her chair as she watched Angel's expression change from confusion to shock. It was immediately clear when he got what the lyrics meant, and he immediately said something to Buffy. She nodded, and they said something else. Then they went back to being the PDA champs.
Giles was still confused. He'd missed something very big- that much was clear by everyone's expressions-and he didn't understand the lyrics. "What's going on?" he asked, looking at the group. They all seemed to get it.
Spike looked at him, snickering. "Slayer's knocked up," he explained bluntly.
"What?"
Xander sighed. "Ten. Days. Late."
The Watcher's mouth fell open.

Buffy and Angel broke apart once more, smiling happily at each other. "You're pregnant," he said, an amazed look on his face.
She nodded, her face showing her joy. "I am."
He felt like laughing out loud. He felt like he was flying. He felt like he was missing something. He studied her face, her beautiful face, and his expression became serious.
"What is it?" she asked, growing concerned.
"Marry me."
It was her turn to have her mouth drop open. "Angel," she said, stunned. "But... oh. Oh."
He smiled at her, and she realized she'd never seen him look happier. "That not good enough for ya'?" he asked. He reached din the pocked of the duster he still wore and pulled out a black box. "I've been planning on doing this for a while," he explained. He glanced back at their friends and realized, with a little relief, that they couldn't see the box, and hadn't heard his question. "What I'd planned on doing had no audience, and I wouldn't feel like such an ass." He smiled at her, and Buffy tried to smile back. She felt like she was having an out-of-body experience, and she was halfway sure that this was a dream.
He actually got down on one knee, his gaze never leaving her face.
Willow let out a squeal of delight when she saw this, but neither of the lover noticed.
Buffy's hand flew to her face, adn she stared at him. "Buffy Anne Summers," he said, his voice incredibly calm. "I love you more that II ever thought possible. I've loved you since I saw you the first time, and I've never stopped, no matter what's happened. I want to spend the rest of our lives together. Will you marry me?"
Her heart was racing, and there were tears of joy in her eyes. She gave him a giddy smile. "I think I will. Wouldn't want you to feel like an ass for no reason after all, would I?"
He stood up even as she knelt to reach him, and they exchanged a long kiss.
Yes, another kiss.

No one had quite expected this.
They'd all known it would happen eventually, but no one had been prepared to see Angel go down on his knee and actually ask her the question.
But no one was about to argue it.
Spike said it best as he watched the two kissing. "It's about bloody time."
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The office was oddly quiet all night. The Scooby Gang had gone back to Sunnydale, and the LA additions had gone to their homes for the night.
Buffy and Angel spent the night in bed, and the early dawn watching the sunrise on the roof of the building.
After that, they went down to the office and sat in the waiting area.
They were always touching. Whether that meant they curled up next to each other on the couch, or they held hands sitting on two of the chairs.
When Cordelia walked in around noon, she found them kissing.
She sighed. And to think, she'd actually expected the PDA's to slow down or stop.
Buffy smiled from her seat on Angel's lap. "Hi Cordy," she said happily.
"Is this gonna end when you get married?" Cordelia questioned impatiently. "It's really old." She shrugged off her jacket and set it on the back of her chair. "By the way, when's the wedding? 'Cuz we've got to start planning, like, six months ahead of time."
Buffy and Angel exchanged amused looks. "Try six weeks," Angel said, and smiled when Cordelia gaped at him.
"We want to be married before the baby's born," Buffy explained. "And I don't want to look like a whale on my wedding day." She grinned at Angel, and he kissed the side of her face before turning his attention back to Cordelia.
The brunette sighed. "And you gotta get it done before something bad happens again."
The newly engaged couple scowled at her.
Cordelia sighed again. She had a feeling the next few months would be interesting.
She perked up. But she could always hope that once they got married, they'd learn to control the PDA's.
She glanced at the couple, and realized that they were necking again. She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'm screwed, aren't I?"
Buffy and Angel remained happily oblivious.
