~Part: 1~
'Never
knowing in the dark, in the light, when the world will change
Eliminating
all the fear, all the sadness in the falling rain
Touch
my heart, touch my soul, lead me into the light of day
Time
slips ever fast, Instantly becoming the past.....
Willow wrapped her arms around herself as she shivered in the darkness. The coldness in the room seemed to seep through her jacket down to the bones. She had been here a prisoner is this beautiful room for two days, ignoring the constant knocks on the door by a sweet old woman offering her food. But she didn't want food. Or anything else for what matters. She just wanted to go home.
Her lack of appetite must have been reported to Angelus, for minutes later, he came from God knows where and pounded on her door like a raging beast and demanded that she eat her food. Which of course, infuriated her that *he* should demand that she eat the food like she was his slave or something to be ordered about!
<Who the heck do he think he is? Just because he's *lord o' the manor* doesn't mean he's mine. Sheesh! Food's probably got something in it as well.> She trusted Angelus as far as she could throw him.
With a sigh, Willow curled up in the middle of the huge bed and fell asleep hoping somehow, someway Buffy will find a way to get her out of this prison.
~three days previously~
Xander and Willow were lost in the middle of a maze. They had been following Buffy, who chased a vampire through the parks, a deeply wooded area, and over a large stone wall which led to an opening in the maze.
Buffy was long gone. Xander and Willow were desperately trying to catch up. They had finally made it over the stone wall and to the opening in the maze. Both were gasping for air and clutching their sides.
"There is no way under heaven and earth, am I doing that again!" Willow wheezed.
"No kidding. Next time. *I'll* stay and do the research." Xander joked. "It's 2 am. And I'm here doing a marathon after a freakin' vamp! Where did the good old days go to?!" He raised his arms in a plea to the sky.
Willow smiled at her best bud. "Come on. We've got to find her."
A few minutes later, Willow got separated from Xander in the middle of the maze. For a brief second, Willow had turned her back when she heard something that sounded like whispered voices. When she turned around to ask Xander if he had heard the voices, he disappeared.
A loud scream from the darkness sent chills down Willow's back. <That sounds alot like Buffy!>
Willow searched desperately in the dark to find the way out.
"Pfffssst! Over here!"
Willow saw a ferret standing in the middle of the pathway. "What?!" She wasn't quite sure if she was imagining things. But she could have sworn that the ferret had just spoken to her.
"What? You've never seen a weasel before?"
"Youuuu...you can talk?!"
"And that's a bad thing?" the ferret chuckled. "We better get a move or your blond friend will be in trouble, and from the sounds of it the master has found her. Come on! What are you waiting for?" he started scrambling off mumbling to himself. "Young people now a days. Would lose their heads if it weren't attached to their bodies."
Willow closed her mouth and started after the ferret. <What next?>
