Willow had just changed into one of Angel's silk button-down shirts
and
already felt uncomfortable. She had run down to the store down
the street and
had gotten essentials, so she was is the bathroom. She had just
taken her
shower and finished brushing her teeth. She took the contacts from
her hazel
eyes and set them in their case and slipped on her glasses, turning
to the
door and opening it, walking out and flicking off the lights in
the room.
She grabbed the journal sitting on the table, as she moved through
the
kitchen, flipping through the pages. As she started down the hall
Angel
stepped out from the room next to her and knocked into her, causing
her to
drop her book.
"Owe, sorry Willow." He knelt down to retrieve it for her.
"Ah, it's okay. I wasn't paying attention, sorry." Still knelling,
he handed
her the book and when he looked up he quickly looked back down.
"What?"
"I never noticed you wore glasses."
"Contacts as often as I can. But it's no big. It's just close stuff.
I can
see far away stuff like a hawk." He stood and trailed her hands
up, removing
her glasses.
"You have such pretty eyes. I'm glad you don't hide them behind
those
dreadful lenses."
"Nope, that's the book's or computer's job," she slightly laughed.
"Well,
I've got some writing to do before bed." She rose the book then
let it fall
back to her hand, indicating that was what she had to write. She
turned and
started to her room, hearing him lightly call to her.
"Sweet dreams." She turned and gave a little smile over her should
before
going into the room, closing the door. She backed into the door
and held the
journal to her chest.
"I hope so." She whispered in a reply meant for only herself.
