~Prologue~
Back in the days of magic, legends, talking animals, and heroes who triumphed over villains, there was a dark enchanted forest. The sun's radiant light never shown on this gloomy forest and all the evil creatures of the land lurked within its dense darkness. The forest wasn't always like this at one time it was a lush, green forest, filled with love and peace. It was a place to enjoy and admire. Over time the forest seemed to die away. The elders of the land were the only ones who remembered the true beauty of the forest, but there were few who would speak of it. At times when the elders would get together and you listen patiently to there hushed conversation you would learn of the once great forest, and the peace it spread through out the land.
It seemed as if the forest had a soft glow to it then, the elders would say with much sadness in their voices. Maybe it was the fireflies that made the forest their home, or perhaps it was just the beauty of the forest unable to contain itself. Whatever it was had long ago left leaving the forest as well as the land around it in a gloomy despair. The forest was now separate form the land around it. No longer was peace a common place. Evil now seemed drawn to the land. The people of the land distanced themselves from the forest and as time went on they tried to forget of what the forest once brought to the land. The people did not want to think of what they had lost and instead choice to ignore what they believed was unfixable. Secretly hey all hoped that one day the forest that once held some much would be there's again.
As time passed with no change hope dwindled, but the legends grew. The people of the land could not help but speculate on what had happened to change the forest into such a dark place. There were many tales but only one became a legend that would last for all time a legend that turned out to be true.
The legend says that Anna held a beauty beyond all comprehension not only a beauty of body, but also one of mind and spirit. Small in stature with skin as smooth and fair as silk which was set of by her deep red hair and intense green eyes. She was said to have an innocence about her that left those who meet wanting to protect her, but she was far from naïve. It is said that to Anna the most important thing in her life was family. The elders of the time decided Anna should try to lead a more worthwhile life, than to just grow up and become ugly like them. They told Anna to go into the forest and seek out those of magic that lived there so that she may learn from them. Anna was very reluctant to go all she wished was to stay at home with her family. Eventually Anna set of into the forest on her life.
After many days, and lonely nights in the forest Anna came upon a magnificent palace. A great sorcerer by the name of Corbin lived in the place, and it is said that Corbin immediately fell in love with Anna the instant he gazed upon her. Corbin insisted that Anna stay at his place and live out the rest of her day with him. Anna agreed but made it clear that she would always love her family. The place that they held in her heart was untouchable. Corbin did not care as long as his Anna stayed with him for you see Corbin could not venture out of the forest because he was a part of the forest, he was the forest's very soul.
It is said that Corbin tried everything to win Anna over, but all she could think of was her family. As time passed the only thing that pleased her was the beauty of the forest. As more time passed Anna became gravely ill because of her longing to see her family back home. Because although she loved the forest and Corbin she could not fill the void in her heart left by her missing family.
Corbin, who was desperate to help her, tried all of his potions and spells hoping to cure her. He knew that the only thing that would make her well again would be to take her home, however, he also knew that once she got there she would never wish to return to him, so he continued to search for a cure. It is said for many weeks he searched for a cure only to come back one day and find his Anna gone. She had let death claim her.
Corbin became so enraged at his own stupidity for not doing the one thing he knew could have helped her, that he went into a state of furry. He lashed out the only way he knew how, to ruin the beauty of the forest because with out Anna nothing mattered anymore. He cast spell upon spell into the forest turning the peaceful creatures evil. His final spell was the undoing of the forest he cast out he soul in hopes that perhaps he would find the soul of his beloved Anna. As the last light left the forest Corbin made a promise to Anna. His promise was:
This place of beauty which has been my home for soLong has died this day. No peace shall come to this placeMy Anna died here so I have destroyed it as it destroyed ourLove. On the day love returns to fight the evil that has beenCreated here I shall return and with me I shall bring backThat which I have sent away.
As the years went by the forest was all but forgotten, and the legend was no longer spoken of. Times had changed for even thou magic lived on very few believed. On the day the forest died another legend was born. In every generation, there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer. The slayer would protect the people from the darkness.
The forest is no more it has been moved aside to make room for people to live. The forest is now known as Sunnydale and love is about to return.
~Part 1~Sunnydale
"Wills you coming to the Bronze with us after school." Xander asked in the hall between classes.
"No, Xander my parents are home and they want me to spend time with them." Willow was still in shock that not only had her parents come home early, but they also wanted to spend time with her. They didn't just want to spend time with her they insisted she spend time with them.
"Ok well if you can ditch the parental units join us." Xander said as he looked down the hall.
"I'll." Before Willow could even finish Xander was off down the hall trying to catch up to Buffy. I can't believe it Willow thought he didn't even care what I had to say I bet he wouldn't even notice if I didn't show up at the Bronze tonight. I get that he likes Buffy, but he's still supposed to be my friend.
When school ended Willow didn't even bother going to the library, she got her books and headed straight home. "Willow sweetie I'm so glad you're here we have so much to talk about" Shelia said as soon as her daughter walked into the house. "Ya ok sure mom just let me put up my bag." Willow said to her mother.
"Ok sweetie, but hurry. Your father and I will be waiting in the living room for you." Shelia leaned down and gave Willow a kiss on the cheek before heading off to the living room.
Willow headed up to her room in a daze; her mother kissed her. Something had to be wrong. What other reason could there be for her parent's strange behavior. She walked slowly back down stairs and into the living room.
"Willow come sit with us." Ira suggested as Willow walked into the room.
"Ok, mom dad is something wrong?" Willow asked as she sat down in-between her mom and dad on the couch.
"We were going to ask you that sweetie." Shelia said looking at her daughter.
"Me, but why?" Willow asked puzzled.
"Willow we know we haven't been the most attentive parents in the world." Ira began "But we can tell when our baby girl isn't happy."
"I'm happy everything is fine I'm fine." Willow told her parents. They had come back because they were worried about her amazing she never thought that would ever happen.
"Sweetie when you write to us you don't sound happy anymore. You are different something had to have happened. We can't help unless you talk to us Willow." Shelia looked a little worried now and she had taken Willow's hand into her own.
"Its nothing mom really. I'm just making to much out of it." Willow told her mother trying to reassure her.
"Willow just tell us what it is please." Ira said as he looked in to his daughters green eyes, which had started to tear up. Shelia handed her a tissue.
Willow wiped her eyes as she started her story. "Well a few months ago Buffy and her boyfriend had a falling out, ya a falling out. After that things started to change and someone new showed up who didn't like Buffy that much and he wanted to hurt her anyway he could. Not long after that a teacher at our school who helped us out a lot was found murdered. Buffy blamed her boyfriend, but it was the other guy that was at fault. Buffy sent Angel, that's her boyfriend, away. Ever since nothing has been the same. Buffy just wants to pretend nothing happened. Xander just wants to be with Buffy. And its not that I care, but I miss having someone to talk to. I mean I wasn't close to Angel, but he was there if you needed help. I miss him." Willow looked down at her hands as she finished.
"Oh sweetie I wish we had come sooner." Shelia pulled Willow into her arms and gave her a hug.
"Willow I can't help thinking that there is something you're not telling us." Ira said as he looked closely at his daughter.
"Um that's it dad really." Willow told her father as she fidgeted with her shirt.
"Willow we want the whole story." Ira told his daughter trying to look stern, but not being able to quite pull off the look.
"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." Willow told her parents as she thought about just how unbelievable the whole story would sound.
"Let us be the judge of that." Ira said to his daughter.
"Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you." Willow told her parent's as she got up and started pacing the living room as she told them everything form the beginning. "You see in every generation, there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer. Her name is Buffy."
Two hours latter Willow was still pacing back and forth in the living room, and her parents were sitting listening intently to the story of her life and what had happened since Buffy had arrived in Sunnydale. They only interrupt when they were unsure of something, for the most part they had quietly listen to their daughter. As Willow finished her story she looked at her parents she couldn't believe that she had told them everything she really must be going out of her mind.
"Willow sit down sweetie." Shelia told her daughter. As
Willow sat down she was pulled into another hug this time by both her mother and her father.
"Willow is there anyway you can bring back Angel?" Her father asked when he finally pulled back from the hug.
Willow could hardly believe what she was hearing, "Bring him back?"
"Yes sweetie you said you can do magic I mean there has to be a way right." Shelia said.
"You believe me?" Willow asked.
"Of course we do sweetie." Shelia said giving Willow a reassuring smile.
"Willow you are our daughter we will always believe you. I mean we knew there was something strange about this town. We didn't know it was quite this strange." Ira told his daughter.
"Now we will think of away to get Angel back, and when we do he'll stay with us." Shelia told her daughter.
"Right and we won't be going anywhere again. We have missed enough of our daughter life as it is." Ira said.
~Part 2~
As Willow got ready for bed that night she replay on the resent events in her mind. Her parent, people who she thought didn't care what happened to her, had come back home because they were worried about her. It was unbelievable Willow was so happy and she could hardly wait till morning when she could start looking for a way to get Angel out of hell. She had never thought about it before, but she was sure she could fine away to get Angel out of hell. After allthis was the hell mouth and stranger things had happened.
The next day at school Willow couldn't wait to talk to Giles.
As soon as she got to school she headed straight to the library. "Giles, are you here?" Willow asked as she cam into the library.
"Yes Willow I'm right here is there something that you needed?" Giles was sitting at the table and didn't even look up as Willow entered.
"Giles, is it possible to bring someone back from hell?" Willow asked.
Giles dropped the book that he was reading and looked up at Willow shocked. "What! Why on earth would you want to know that?" He looked as though he had been hit by a car.
"Um… I was just wondering. You know because of Angel and all." Willow told Giles a nervously.
"Willow, don't even think about it. Angel is in hell where he belongs. You will not do anything to try and get him back I forbid it. Is that understood young lady?" Giles was red in the face and practically yelling at Willow.
As Giles spoke Willow backed away from him, "Yes I understand." With that she turned and ran out of the library. Willow ran from the library and out of the school. How dare he think that Angel belongs in hell? Angel did nothing wrong it was Angelus not him. Why can't everyone see that Angel is a differentperson? Mom and dad understand and they haven't even met him yet. What right did Giles have to yell at her? She only wanted to help her friend. Willow had finally calmed down enough that she was now walking instead of running. Willow spent the next hour walking around when she stopped she was surprised at where she found herself. Willow was at Angel's mansion. She stood for a moment just looking at it before making up her mind to go inside.
The Library
"Giles you wanted to see me?" Buffy asked as she walked into the library.
"Yes of course. Have you seen Willow?" Giles asked as he took of his glasses and cleaned them.
"No, she wasn't in class. I guess she didn't come to school." Buffy replied.
"Oh dear that's what I was afraid of." Giles sat down and started to rub the bridge of his nose.
"Why Giles has something happened to Willow?" Buffy asked, concern about her friend evident in her voice.
"Willow can to see me this morning and I'm afraid I was a bit hard on her." Giles told her.
"What did you do Giles? Willow is the kindest person in the world what the hell did you do" Buffy couldn't believe that Willow had done anything that would warrant Giles getting angry at her.
"Well you see Buffy, Willow came in here and asked if there was anyway to bring someone back from hell." Giles voice held a very cold tone to it now.
Giles and Buffy had both been to involved in talking they didn't notice that Xander had entered the library, or that he had heard there conversation.
"Why the hell would she want to bring someone back from hell?" Xander asked walking.
"I assume that she wants to get Angel back." Giles told Xander.
"Get dead boy out hell! Why would she want to do that? Angel is a evil danger thing. How could she even think about it?" Xander was very upset about what he had just learned.
"Yes quite right." Giles told Xander. Giles completely agreed with what Xander had said.
Buffy could only look at them. She couldn't believe how they were acting. Willow was there friend, and they weren't even thinking about her feelings. Willow probably just wanted to help.
"Would you listen to yourselves?" Xander and Giles both turned to look at Buffy. "Willow is our friend. She would do anything she could to help us. Willow considers Angel a friend, and she's going to do anything she can to try and help him." With that said Buffy walked out of the library.
Angel's Mansion
Willow wasn't surprised when she found the door unlocked. After all why would Angel have to worry about? Willow never realized how little there was in the mansion before. She had only been here once when she came with Buffy. There was hardly anything there at all. Willow couldn't help, but think about how lonely Angel had to have been. She would change that when she got him back, and she would get him back.
"Willow, are you here?" Buffy had called Willows house and when she found that she wasn't there she headed to the mansion.
"Buffy? What are you doing here?" Willow was shocked to see Buffy.
"I was looking for you. Giles said he got angry with you, so I called your house. Your mom and dad said you weren't there, so I took a chance and came here." Buffy told Willow.
"Oh, did Giles tell you why he was mad at me." Willow asked.
"Yes Willow he did, and I want to let you know that I'll be here for you no matter what. I will always be your best friend, and if you fell like you need to bring Angel back I'll support you. Just don't expect me to jump back into his arms when he gets here." Buffy talked calmly, reassuring Willow that she would be there for her.
"Oh Buffy thank you so much." Willow pulled Buffy into a hug. This was the friend she remembered. She was glad that Buffy understood.
~Part 3~
After Willow and Buffy hugged they went exploring. They didn't find much, a bed and a few books here and there was all that they really found. As the sun went down Buffy walked Willow home and got a chance to meet her parents. Willow was so happy that her parents liked Buffy and that Buffy seemed to like them. Willow's parents even invited Buffy to stay for dinner. After a quick call to let her mom know where she was Buffy and Willow went into the livingroom to wait for dinner to be finished. Shelia had told both Willow and Buffy to stay out of her kitchen.
"Wow, Willow your parents are really nice." Buffy told her as they sat down.
"Ya, they came back and they've been like this ever since." Willow said with a smile on her face.
"I'm glad that they decided to come back, Willow. I know that you missed them." Buffy said happy for Willow.
"I'm glad they did too, Buffy." Willow was beyond happy that her parents were home.
"Dinners done girls come and get it." Shelia called to them from the dinning room.
While they were eating dinner Buffy and Willow decided that on Friday they would have a girls night in. Shelia said they should make it an all girls weekend. Buffy and Willow thought that was a great idea. They spent the rest of dinner deciding on what they would do. They decided that they would have it at the mansion because it had so much more room and they were sure Angel wouldn't mind. They decide it would be just the six of them: Buffy, Joyce, Dawn, Shelia, Willow, and Cordelia. Since it was only Tuesday they had plenty of time to make sure everyone could make it. Not long after Buffy went home Willow headed off to bed. So much had happened and Willow was happier that she had been in months.
The next day at school Willow decided that she would be the one to invite Cordelia over for the weekend. Cordelia as usual was surrounded by the popular people and for a moment Willow wasn't sure if she would have the nerve to go up and talk to her, but she decided that was silly.
"Cordelia can I talk to you for a moment please?" Willow asked as she walked up to Cordelia.
"Well I guess I can spare a moment." Cordelia told her and they walked away form the group.
"Um, well you see I was wondering if you would like to come to our girls weekend, starting Friday after school." Willow asked. "Why on earth would I want to hang out with a bunch of losers like you?" Cordelia asked with a little flip of her hair.
"Never mind. Forget I even asked." Willow knew this would be a mistake.
"Wait, by `our' who do you mean?" asked Cordelia.
"Well its going to be me, Buffy, Dawn, Joyce, and my mom." Willow told her.
"What time?" Cordelia asked.
"Right after school on Friday at Angel's mansion." Willow told Cordelia felling a little bit better about having asked her to come. Cordelia really didn't have that many real friends, and Willow hoped that one day Cordelia would consider her a friend.
"Well why didn't you say it was going to be at a mansion in the first place? I'll be there." With that said Cordelia turned around and walked away.
Willow was glad that Cordelia was going to come. She would have come no matter where it was at Willow was sure of that. Willow avoided the library for the rest of the week and didn't talk to Xander. She knew that Giles was still mad at her so she really didn't want to face him. Every time she even got close to Xander he would glare at her. He had never done that before. She couldn't understand why Xander was so upset. He had gotten over his crush on Buffy so its not like he was worried that Angel would come back and take Buffy away. And Angel really hadn't done anything to Xander. Before lone it was Friday and Willow was so glad that school had finally ended. She had been looking forward to this weekend all week.
"Willow get in the car. There is no way I'm letting you walk all the way to the mansion." Willow had just started walking towards the mansion when Cordelia had pulled her car up.
"Thanks Cordelia." Willow was glad Cordelia had stopped to give her a ride she really didn't want to walk all the way to the mansion by herself.
"Whatever." As soon as Willow was in the car Cordelia sped of towards the mansion at full speed.
~Part 4~
Mansion
It took Willow and Cordelia hardly any time to get to the mansion, after all Cordelia was driving. Shelia was already there. She had taken the day off of work so that she could get the mansion ready for their girl's weekend.
"Mom, this is Cordelia. I don't think you guys have ever been introduced to each other." Willow watched, as her mother looked Cordelia over from head to toe. Willow couldn't blame her mother for being a little curious after all this was the same Cordelia Chase that her mother had been hearing all the horrible stories about since grade school.
Finally Shelia said with a strained smile "It is nice to finally meet you Cordelia. I've heard so much about you."
Cordelia knew exactly what Shelia had heard and even if it was true she wasn't about to back down. "Its nice to meet you Shelia." Cordelia made sure to put as much distain in her voice as she could. "I never thought I would get the chance seeing as how you are hardly ever home. I mean practically since grade school it seems like Willow had the house all to herself. Why I remember on her tenth birthday you were so busy packing for your next trip you didn't evenremember to wish Willow a happy birthday."
Willow couldn't believe that Cordelia remembered her tenth birthday, but now that Willow had thought back on it Cordelia had come over that day and given her a birthday gift. Willow didn't open it she had just put it in the back of her closet and forgot about it. Now she wondered what was in that box.
Cordelia was far from through "I may have teased Willow most over her life Shelia, but at least I was there. I was there when Jesse dead, I was there when Buffy showed up, and I was there when she needed help. Hell I was even there so she wasn't alone while she was in the library. I was sure as hell there when she needed someone, which is more than I can say about you. Don't you dare think you are better than me because your not."
Willow was shocked. Cordelia had always been there and she had never even noticed. Cordelia was always there when she needed someone. Cordelia may not have openly shown it, but Willow was her friend. Shelia was shocked to say the least, but she saw the truth in what Cordelia had said. She never had been there when her daughter had needed her. "You are right Cordelia, and I'd like to start over. If you'll let me?" Shelia asked.
"Sure Shelia." Cordelia replied shrugging her shoulders. Cordelia didn't mind starting over. She was happy that Willow finally had a mother that seemed to care about her. Willow should have nothing less than the best because she always gave the best.
"Hey Cordelia could you give me a ride over to my house I need to get something." Willow asked Cordelia.
"Ya sure lets go." Cordelia said as she headed out the door keys in hand.
"We'll be back in a little while mom." Willow kissed her mother's cheek as she followed Cordelia out the door.
Willow's House
"Come on in Cordelia I need to get something out of my closet." Willow told Cordelia as she opened the door and headed upstairs.
Cordelia followed Willow up the stairs and into her bedroom. "What exactly are we getting?" Cordelia asked as Willow started to dig around in the top of her closet.
"Well when you were talking to my mom you brought up my tenth birthday, and it started me thinking. You had come over that day and mom was running around you asked what was going on. That's how you knew she was packing. I'm surprised you even remembered. I also remembered you gave me a birthday gift. I thought it was a joke so I didn't open it. ah here it is." Willow had finally found the little box in the back of her closet.
"You never opened it?" Cordelia couldn't believe that Willow had kept an unopened present for six years, but then again this was Willow.
"Nope, but I'm going to open it now." Willow told her as she began to tear away the paper. Once the paper was gone Willow opened the box and pulled out the tissue paper in the box. In the middle of the tissue paper Willow found a beautiful gold necklace. Suspended from the delicate gold chain was a diamond pendant. There was also a note. It read:
Willow, I know that we don't always get along, but Iwill always consider you my best friend. I hope you will wear thisnecklace and know that I will always be there for you. I'll where onejust like it. ~Your friend Cordelia Chase. It was then that Willow noticed Cordelia was wearing the same necklace that she held in her hand.
"Cordelia, its beautiful. I can't believe I waited this long to open. I never knew you even thought of me as a friend." Willow was so happy.
"I just thought you didn't like it." Cordelia told her.
"Are you kidding, I love it Cordelia and I'd love to be your friend." Willow said as she gave Cordelia a hug.
"Lets get back to the mansion." Willow told Cordelia as she put the necklace around her neck and headed out the door.
Mansion
Buffy, Dawn, and Joyce arrived just after Cordelia and Willow got back. They decided to start there weekend off with movies. After watching Dirty Dancing, they decided to play a game of truth or dare.
All the girls changed into there pajamas and settled in the living room for a good game. The girls decided to change the rules a little. They decide everyone would have to do one dare and one truth and since it was 1 am they would head to bed after that.
Shelia's dare was to get her ears pierced the next day at the mall. Willow had thought of it. Shelia's truth was she had to say when she first had sex. It turns out she was sixteen and it was long before she met Ira.
For Joyce's truth she had to name a guy she though was cute. With out even thinking she said Spike. As a result she ended up having to call Spike and tell him she thought he was cute. Spike didn't seem to mind, but he wasn't to happy when Joyce wouldn't say where she was. Dawn thought it was hilarious that her mother had to call Spike, so they gave her the same truth and dare. Dawn ended up calling Xander. Xander was speechless.
The girls decided they like these truth and dares so Cordelia ended up calling Giles. Giles muttered something about needing a drink before hanging up the phone.
There wasn't really anyone Buffy liked so they had to choose another dare. She had to let the girls fix her up with someone.
Willow thought Angel was cute, but she really couldn't call him and tell them. Her dare was to get a belly button ring and let the girls (mostly Cordelia) get her a new wardrobe. Willow tried to argue that it was two things, but the girls weren't going to let it go. The girls headed off to bed when there game was finished.
~Part 5~
The next day everyone was up by nine. No one wanted to waste anytime. After a quick breakfast they headed off to the mall. The first thing they decided to take care of were the dares from the previous night. Shelia got her ears pierced, but only after Willow promised her ice cream. Buffy had to promise to get Willow coffee if she completed her dare. After the promise of coffee Willow was more than happy to complete her dare. Shelia picked a pair of diamonds forher first set of earrings. Willow picked out a silver hoop that had a small frog hanging on it.
At the ended of the day the girls were exhausted. After completing the dares they stopped for ice cream and coffee, from there they went to the beauty salon. Everyone got their hair and nails done. After that Cordelia was in charge they went to every store in the mall twice just to make sure they didn't miss anything. Willow had tried to protest about the things that Cordelia was buying her, but she soon realized no one was listening and she decided shelooked good in what Cordelia was getting. Cordelia outfitted Willow from head to toe. She even found a store that sold frog accessories. By the end of the day Willow not only owned more cloths and makeup then she could possible wear, but she also owned frog hair clips, frog nail decals, frog pens, frog print underwear.I think you get the point.
"I didn't think that a trip to the mall could be so tiring." Buffy mumbled as she curled up on her sleeping bag.
"Buffy we didn't even make it to a third round of the stores." Cordelia said appalled that Buffy thought today had been tiring.
Buffy didn't even bother tying to think of a come back. She was just too tired.
"I'm glad will did this." Willow told everyone. "Its nice to be able to hang out like we did today."
"Ya it was a lot of fun." Dawn agreed.
"I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves." Shelia said. "But now its definitely bed time."
"Yes I agree." Joyce said yawning.
It didn't take long for everyone to go to sleep. The were all out by 11pm. At 6 am there was a loud crash that woke everyone up. There was another crash before the whole house started to shake. The girls huddled up under the tables and in the doorways. The house shook for 15 minutes before it finally settled down.
"Is everyone ok." Shelia asked as she got out from under the table.
After a quick inventory of every one it was determined that no serious damaged had been done. They all decided that they would go back to bed and check the rest of the mansion for damage in the morning. Before anyone could settle back down there as a huge crash of thunder and lightening that light up the whole house. Then they heard a scream.
"What the hell was that?" Cordelia asked,
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out. Everyone stay here." Buffy said as she headed towards the scream.
A few minutes later they heard Buffy yell for them. They were shocked at what they saw when they reached her. There was a huge hole in the ceiling apparently caused by the lightening. The sun had now come up and sunlight was pouring into the room. In the middle of the floor was Angel.
Angel was back, Willow thought, he's also lying in the sun and he is not dust. More importantly.
"Oh my god he's naked!" Willow said a second before she fainted.
~Part 6~
"Willow, are you ok?" Buffy asked as she leaned over Willow.
"What happened?" Willow asked. She felt horrible, but she wasn't about to tell Buffy that.
"You fainted after you saw Angel." Buffy told her.
"Angel, oh my goodness. Angel was there on the floor naked. Is he all right? What happened, how did he get here? I have to go see him." Willow was trying to stand up, but Buffy held her down.
"Angel is fine. We moved him into the bedroom. He hasn't woken up yet, but other than that he seems fine. There is no reason to worry about him. I want to make sure you are ok." Buffy said trying to reassure her friend.
Willow knew Buffy was just trying to do what was best for her, but she didn't care. She wanted to see Angel and she wanted to see him now.
"Buffy, I want to see Angel. Please let me up." Willow looked up at Buffy letting her friend now just how much she wanted to get up.
"Are you sure you are all right?" Buffy asked her again.
"I'm fine Buffy. Really I think it was just the shock of seeing Angel that made me faint." Willow said.
"Ya or the shock of seeing him naked." Buffy said making Willow blush.
Finally Buffy let Willow get up. They had moved Angel into his bedroom, so that he'd be more comfortable until he woke up. Angel was chained to the bed just incase it wasn't Angel, but Willow wasn't really worried. She had a feeling that this was definitely Angel and he wasn't going to be going anywhere for a very long time. Willow sat down on the bed next to him. He looked so peaceful, he'd wake up she was sure of it.
"Willow are you ok?" Dawn asked.
"Ya Dawn I'm fine." Willow told her.
"So are you going to tell him that you love him?" Dawn asked.
"What I don't love him. He's just a friend. I mean I love him, but not like you're thinking." Willow said in a quiet voice.
"I know that I'm younger than you and Buffy, but I know love when I see it." Dawn told her.
"But I don't…" Willow said interrupting her.
"Let me finish." Dawn said. Willow started to say something, but stopped when Dawn glared at her.
"Like I said I maybe young, but I know love when I see it. We live on the hellmouth Willow love is hard enough to find in normal places. Its amazing that you found love here. Think about it Willow if you don't take this chance you may never find love again. And if you do find love again can you honestly tell me that you won't think of Angel and what could have been?" Dawn said hoping to make Willow see how much she loved Angel.
"Oh, Dawn its not that simple. He went to hell loving Buffy. Buffy was probably all he thought about while he was down there. I can't set myself up for a fall like that. I love him so much if he didn't love me back I don't know what I'd do." Willow said she looked ready to start crying at any moment.
"But Willow you'll never know if he loves you unless you tell him how you feel. You know how Angel is. If he loves you he's not going to tell you. He doesn't think he's worthy of love. You can't take no for an answer. Put on your resolve face and win him over. Just like I'm doing with Xander" Dawn told her smiling. Willow laughed a little at the Xander comment and leaned of and gave Dawn a hug.
"Thanks Dawn. Why don't you go and tell Buffy and the other to call the guys. I think our girl's weekend is officially over." Willow said.
"Ok, I'll make sure the others leave you alone for a while" Dawn said as she headed out the door.
"Thanks, oh and make sure someone calls Spike." Willow called out to dawn.
"Will do." Dawn said as she poked her head back into the room, before she was off to call the guys.
Willow unchained Angel. He looked uncomfortable. She didn't want him to wake up like that. Willow looked down at Angel and just couldn't hold back the tears any longer.
Angel had lain awake listening to Willow and Dawn talk. He was still trying to make sense of the fact that Willow loved him. Then she started crying. Angel slowly sat up. Willow was crying so hard she didn't even notice.
"Willow please don't cry." Angel said as he pulled her into his arms.
Willow looked up at Angel and instantly stopped crying.
"Angel, you're awake." Willow said.
"Yes you were crying." Angel replied softly.
"Angel are…" Willow started to asked if he was ok, but he put a finger to her lips
"Shh." Angel said before leaning down and softly kissing her forehead and then her mouth. After awhile Angel remembered Willow had to breath, so he reluctantly broke the kiss. He pulled Willow more securely into his embrace and laid down.
"Sleep." He said.
Willow closed her eyes and was more than happy to comply. Her last thought was that her Angel had kissed her. Her Angel she like the sound of that. She fell asleep with a smile on her face.
~Part 7~
"Willow wants us to call the guys over." Dawn said as she stepped into the living room.
"Is she feeling alright?" Shelia asked.
"Ya she fine. She just needs time alone with Angel." Dawn told them.
"Well I've already called Giles." Joyce said, "He didn't sound at all surprised that Angel was back, but he seemed a little mad." Joyce told everyone.
"Giles really didn't take it well when Willow asked if there was a way to get Angel back, but I'm sure he'll get over it." Buffy said trying to explain Giles' reaction.
"Ya well he better get over it fast. Otherwise he'll have to deal with me." Cordelia said.
"Cordelia my it sounds as if you're a little upset with Giles." Buffy said smiling.
"A little upset the man makes me furious. He can't see what is right in front of his face. He's so stuck on his dear little computer teacher he doesn't even notice me. Why doesn't he see me? I mean what the hell is wrong with me?" Cordelia sounded really mad at this point. She hadn't seen Giles standing in the doorway until he spoke.
"Nothing is wrong with you Cordelia. You are a beautiful intelligent young woman." Giles told her as he moved to stand beside her. The others in the room were very quiet. They knew this was a big moment.
"Then why don't you want me?" Cordelia asked in a voice barely above a whisper.
"Cordelia you could be my daughter. I am way to old for you. You deserve much more than I can offer you. I work on a teacher salary, need more that that." Giles told her.
Cordelia couldn't see straight when Giles was finished talking.
"How dare you tell me what I need? I am perfectly capable of deciding what is best for me. And guess what Rupert I've decided I love you. So I'm not going to let you walk away. You will be mine, learn to deal with it." Cordelia had back Giles up against the wall literally. "And don't think for one minute that I'm going to let you stand between Willow and Angel." With her final statement said she poked him in the chest and turn around.
Giles was to stunned to say anything. He just stood there staring at the back of Cordelia's head. He finally seemed to find his voice as he place a hand on Cordelia's shoulder.
"Cordelia please forgive me. I am an old foolish man who is stuck in his ways. I don't know if I can change, but for you I will certainly try." Giles told her. Hoping that she would give him a chance to change.
Cordelia rested her head on the hand Giles hand placed on her shoulder for a minute before turning around. She gave him a smile that he couldn't help returning and then moved closer to him and gave him a hug.
"Thank you Giles. That's means a lot to me." Cordelia told him as she pulled out of his arms.
"You are more than welcome Cordelia." Giles replied.
"Oh and just so you know that hug would have been a kiss if you hadn't pissed me off." Cordelia told him as she walked over and sat down on the couch and took a sudden interest in her nails.
"I need a drink a very strong drink." Giles mumbled to himself.
"Well now that, that let scene is over let me introduce myself. I'm Shelia, Willow's mother." Shelia broke the silence as she introduced herself to Giles.
"Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Rupert Giles, but everyone calls me Giles." Giles told her. He never thought he would have the opportunity to meet Willows mother, but he was glad he had. Maybe Willow would be happier now.
"He's also known as G-man." Xander said walking into the room.
"How many times have I asked you not to call me that?" Giles asked Xander.
"Just today, or do you want an overall count?" Xander asked smiling.
"Oh why do I even bother?" Giles asked to know one in particular.
"What are you doing Xander?" Shelia asked. It had been awhile since she had seen Xander, but he was still the same fun loving kid she remembered.
"Oh mom, what can't I just visit?" Xander asked giving Shelia his best puppy dog look.
"Of course you can visit anytime you want." Shelia said giving him a hug. He hugged her back before answering.
"Thanks mom. Besides Dawn called and said I needed to come over." Xander said.
"Yes, why did you want us to come over?" Giles asked.
"Angel's back." Buffy told them both.
"And before you go of half cocked you are going to sit down and think about how your reaction will effect Willow." Cordelia told them both. The last thing she wanted was for them to hurt Willow. Giles and Xander both sat down on the couch the Cordelia had just vacated. They both knew there previous reactions had hurt Willow and they didn't want that to be the case this time. Giles was the first to speak.
"When can we see him?" He asked.
"Willow is with him right now she wanted some time alone with him." Buffy told him.
At that Xander looked ready to say something before Dawn cut him off.
"Don't even think about it Xander. She wants to be alone with him so we are going to leave them alone." Dawn told him and just to make her point very clear she sat down next to him on the couch and swung her legs over his lap so he could move.
"Fine, but don't think I'm happy about this." Xander said crossing his arms over his chest and pouting. Dawn leaded over, so that her face was right next to his.
"You know Xander you're really cute when you pout." Dawn told him and then she pressed her lips to his. After a moment she pulled back and leaned against the arm of the couch, her legs still crossed over Xander's lap. Xander was to shocked to say anything he just sat there looking at Dawn like she had grown an extra head.
"Hey Dawn I think you should kiss him more often, maybe then we'll have some peace and quiet." Buffy said laughing. Xander didn't even bother to reply.
"Maybe I will." Dawn said. At that Xander eyes got even wider.
"Well now that every one is here we should decide what to do." Giles said.
"Not everyone is here yet." Shelia said, "I called Ira. He should be here in about 30 minutes." Shelia said.
"Alright we will wait until he gets here." Giles replied.
"Hey mom, Willow wanted Spike here. I think you should call him." Dawn told Joyce.
"Oh umm alright. I'll go call." Joyce said. She moved into the other room to use the phone.
A few minutes later Joyce came back into the room. "He said he would be here in a few minutes. He has to take the sewers because of the sun. He also said he would stop and get some blood for Angel." Joyce told everyone.
"Well I guess all we can do is wait now." Shelia said.
Everyone sat down and made themselves comfortable. It was going to be a very long day.
~Part 8~
"Ira you're here." Shelia said standing up and going over to her husband as he walked in the door of the mansion.
"Hello Mr. Rosenberg." Xander greeted Ira.
"Hello Xander. It's nice to see you again, but please call me Ira. I think you've known me long enough that we can now go by first names." Ira said to Xander.
"Thanks Ira." Xander said.
"You are very welcome Xander." Ira replied.
"Ira let me introduce you to everyone. You of course know Xander, and the girls trapping him on the couch is Dawn Buffy's sister. Buffy is the one standing behind them, she the slayer. The other man on the couch is Rupert Giles; he's Buffy's watcher and our daughter's mentor. Standing next to him is Cordelia Chase; she has known Willow all her life. And next to Cordelia is Joyce, Buffy's mother." Shelia said introducing her husband to everyone in the room. "Its nice to meet everyone. I've heard so much about you all from my daughter. And speaking of my daughter where is she?" Ira asked.
"She's in the other room with Angel." Shelia told him.
"Oh, has the boy woken up yet?" Ira asked.
"No not yet, but Willow asked for sometime alone with him." Dawn said.
"I see." Ira said.
Just then in the corner of the room there was a loud noise. Spike had arrived and was coming in threw a passage Angel had under the mansion. Spike stood up and dusted himself off before turning and looking at the people in the room who had by now all turned to look at him.
"What the bloody hell are you people looking at." Spike growled at them.
"Sorry Spike that was very rude of us to just stare at you like that." Joyce said after a moment.
"Well had it just been you staring at me Joyce I wouldn't have minded, but it was all these bloody twits." Spike told Joyce making sure that his eyes never left hers.
"Well what do you expect we would do dead boy jr. just pretend like there wasn't someone coming in through the floor?" Xander said.
Spike was about to say something, but with one look at Joyce he shut up.
"Well now that everyone is here why don't we talk about what we should do." Shelia said to the group.
"I could be wrong pet, but I do believe we're missing two people." Spike pointed out.
"Yes very right." Giles said.
"Well Willow wanted to be left alone." Dawn said, "I think she's upset that Angel hasn't come to yet."
"Well there is no need for her to be upset anymore." Angel said as he walked into the room.
Angel had walked into the room while the others were talking. As soon as he spoke everyone turned to look at him.
"Angel your awake." Buffy said stating the obvious.
"Oh you noticed." Spike said sarcastically.
"Spike." Angel said as he looked over at Spike.
"Sorry." Spike said. He knew when not to mess with his sire and this was definitely a time not to mess with him.
"Its good to see you up Angel." Shelia said, "Where is Willow?"
Angel looked over at Shelia he had never meet her before, but he guessed she was Willow's mother.
"Asleep." Angel said simply.
"Yes well, would you care to sit down Angel?" Giles asked.
"No." Angel didn't want to sit down. He wanted to know what the hell was going on, "Why am I here?" he asked.
"We were hoping that you could tell us that Angel." Willow said as she walked in the room. She had woken up shortly after Angel had left. She felt lonely when he wasn't holding her.
"You should be in bed." Angel told her.
Before Willow could reply there was a flash of light and then they were all standing in the cemetery.
"What the hell was that?" Spike asked.
"I don't know," Buffy said " but we are sure as hell not in the Sunnydale cemetery. I know it looks like it, but its not."
"Very perceptive of you Buffy." There was a girl about their age sitting on one of the head stones.
"Who are you?" Giles asked.
"I'm a friend." The girl told them.
"Dose this friend have a name?" Dawn asked.
"Why yes I do Dawn. My name is Temperance, but every one calls me Temp. That is except my dad, he calls me Temper because I have the same temper as my mother, or at least that's what he says." Temperance told them smiling.
"Why are we here?" Willow asked.
"We wanted to let you know what you would be facing." Temperance told her.
"What do you mean?" Buffy asked.
"Well now that Angel is back things are going to be set into motion that must be stopped. I was sent here to give you a heads up." Temperance replied.
"What do you mean sent here? Where are you from?" Giles asked
"I'm from the future Giles." Temperance said.
"What are you?" Angel demanded.
"So you can tell. We weren't sure if you would we able to tell or not." Temperance said.
"Excuse what the hell are you talking about?" Xander asked. He was very confused.
"She's a vampire." Spike stated.
"Well technically I'm only part vampire." With that statement everyone stared openly at Temperance. She just shook her head and smiled. "I guess I should explain she said.
"Before I was born my mom and dad fell in love. There love along with the love that surrounded them conquered the greatest evil. Don't get me wrong there is still evil, but at least there is hope. You see my father is a vampire, and my mother is human well sort of. Willow and Angel are my parents." Temperance said.
~Part 9~
Everyone was stunned. They could believe what they had just heard.
As Shelia was looking at Temp she could believe she didn't see the resemblance before. Temp had Willow's build and the same hair color, but she was taller and had the brownest eyes. She must have got that from her father Shelia thought as she glanced over at Angel. Ira just smiled. He knew now that Willow would end up happy. What more could he possibly ask for. He was also glade that one day he would have a grandchild. That Angel boy just better make sure to keep his hand off her until they are married. I'd hate to have to kill him, Ira though.
Giles knew that he would definitely have to over come his feelings about Angel now. When children are involved you have to be very careful. Remembering from his own childhood he new the girl standing in front of him was very lucky. She had to very loving parents. Joyce watched how Shelia and Ira reacted to Temperance's news and was glad to see that they appeared happy. Joyce looked over at Buffy and hoped that some day she would have child. Buffy deserves to find that kind of happiness. She thought Willow having a baby? Xander thought. Wow I never stopped to think that far ahead. Well she'll make a good mom. Xander was sure of it. Willow had always been there for him. She was his best friend and he knew she would love any child she had.
I knew that she had the hots for him Cordelia thought smiling. She had also been sure that Angel would return Willow's feelings and know she knew he did because she had the proof standing right before her eyes.
Way to go Willow, Buffy thought. She was happy for Willow and Angel. They both wanted love and now they had it. She just wished that one day she could find that kind of love.
If Willow and Angel can get together then so can Xander and I Dawn thought. She was certain that her and Xander belonged together now all she had to do was convince him of that. So the poof gets some action, Spike thought. Maybe know he'll lighten up.
"I'm sorry what did you say?" Willow asked. I have a daughter, correction I have Angel's daughter. I can't believe that this is happening. I always dreamed that Angel would feel the same why about me, but this.. This is too much to take in.
"Oh I'm sorry. This must be a terrible shock to you. I mean you just got Angel back and you learn that you have a daughter." Temp said sounding very upset.
As Angel listened to her speak he felt moved to comfort her. This was his and Willow's daughter. This meant willow would be his, he just hoped the she didn't regret it.
"Now don't you worry at all. Everything will be fine. It was just a little shock that's all. Isn't that right Willow?" Angel said looking over at Willow for her confirmation.
Willow watched as Angel tried to reassure the girl. She was struck by how similar Temp and Angel looked. Temp wasn't sired by Angel she was his real daughter.
"That's right Temp. You just gave us a bit of a shock." Willow said reaffirming what Angel had said.
"Yes, she certainly did give us a shock." Shelia said as she came up to Temp and gave her a hug.
"Its nice to know that one day we will have grandchildren." Ira said.
"Oh bloody hell the dam girl didn't come here for a reunion. She came to warn us. Which if you didn't know went that we are in danger. So in other words enough of the damnable chit chat." Spike said.
"Spike why don't you shout up." Buffy said.
"Who's going to make me? You wouldn't even be able to faze me slutty." Spike said sneering at her.
"Why you good for nothing." Before Buffy could finish Angel was standing between her and Spike.
"You two will both stop right now. You are acting like children. Grow- up!" Angel was pissed. He wanted answers and he wanted them know. Spike and Buffy fighting was going to get them nowhere.
"Yes well now that everyone has been introduced. I have a question?" Giles said finally finding his voice.
"Sure Giles. What would you like to know?" Temp asked.
"I am wondering as I am sure everyone else is about how you came to be. You look like both Willow and Angel, but we all know it is impossible for vampires.um well to have children." Giles said faltering a little at the end.
"Oh I can't tell you that I'm afraid. It could alter what would happen in the future. I was sent here to tell you about the evil you will be facing over the next months. I wish I could tell you more, but I've probably told you too much as it is." Temperance said.
"Yes well please do tell us." Giles said understanding how dangerous it could be to mess with time.
"Well you see it all started with.."Temperance began her story.
~Part 10~
Temperance told her story. The story of Sunnydale and the beautiful place it had once been. She told them of the curse that had been placed upon the land, and how love must return to make things right. She then went on to tell them of a new evil that would be surfacing. An evil that given the opportunity would not only destroy the world, but would destroy their friendships. This evil was unlike any they had ever come across. The evil Temperance spoke of was that of knowledge. She knew they were puzzled so she continued to explain.
"You see knowledge gives power, but it is dangerous when those who do not know what to do with that power." Temperance said, " Right now in your time there are those that know about the evils in the world. Those that know are divided into two categories, there are those that know yet chose to pretend they don't, and then there are those such as yourselves that choose to fight the evil in anyway they can. This has been what has been considered normal for centuries. But now things are changing. A new group is forming. This group knows and has the proof of their knowledge to show other so that they will also know. The only problem is they don't want to fight the evil they want it eliminated."
"Why is this a bad thing?" Joyce asked.
"It's not just that simple Joyce. The world is not just made up of good, or evil for that matter. Nothing as you know it can be unless the balance between good and evil is kept. Sunnydale use to be that good portion of the balance, but it was then destroyed. When it was destroyed there was chaos. There are those that look over the world, and when they saw the destruction of what was they knew they must do something. What they did was create the slayer." Temperance told them.
"The slayer brought the balance back into order?" Giles asked.
"No, a slayer could not make everything right once again, but she was a start." Temperance told him. "The balance between good and evil could only be fix with love."
"What do we have to do with any of this?" Xander asked.
"It has been centuries since the balance was destroyed. In that time the love of certain people have kept good alive and safe, but a new evil is coming." Temperance told them.
"But we have fought evil before." Buffy said.
"Yes what is so different about this new evil." Giles asked.
"The evil that is coming dose not care about destroying the world. This evil only wants to destroy your love." Temperance said.
"Wait a minute, why our love? Why not someone else's love?" Willow asked.
"Willow your love for Angel is centuries old. It is a love that until now has never been seen." Temperance said.
"Why is it that this evil is just now finding us?" Angel asked.
"Ya you said our love is centuries old." Willow pointed out
"Your love was created to restore the balance, but when it was created there was also and evil created that could destroy you. As for why now that's very simple. Even though your love is centuries old this is the first time you have actually been together." Temperance said.
"What do you mean?" Willow asked.
"You and Angel are a lot like the slayer. Ever since you were first created it was your destiny to be together. But you have just now found each other. There have been barriers in your way, evil barriers. Evil knew that if you were to get together they would not be able to keep the upper hand." Temperance told them.
"If there were barriers then how did we get together?" Willow asked.
"Angel was never supposed to make it to Sunnydale, and in the shape he was in those that would have prevented him from coming didn't see him as a threat. Evil took love for granted. As a result someone else was able to step in to help Angel." Temperance said. It was then that another voice spoke up, "Yes I was able to step in and help get Angel back on the correct path." Angel recognized the voice immediately.
"Whistler?" Angel asked.
"Hello Angel." Whistler said as he stepped in to the light. Angel didn't even bother saying anything more. He walked up to Whistler and hugged him.
"Its good to see you again Angel." Whistler said when Angel finally let him go.
"It is good to see you too old friend." Angel replied.
"So you brought Angel here." Willow said, "I don't see why you weren't stopped."
"When they looked at Angel they only saw what he was, not what he could be." Whistler told her.
"Well I can understand that. He is a vampire, but then there was the curse." Willow said.
"As you all know the curse had a clause. They figured that if you were to ever get together the clause would be there to stop things from going to far." Whistler said. It was then that Temperance jumped back into the conversation.
"They hadn't counted on there being so much love around you. There are some many people that love you both things just had to work out." Temperance told them.
"Yes Temperance is right. Your love is one that cannot be contained. It is even more powerful than I thought." Whistler said.
"Enough." Angel said in a low voice. "You keep talking about our love and the love that surrounds us, but that's not telling us much."
"Right, I don't see what this really has to do with us? I mean Angel and I are friends our love isn't something that is all that great." Willow said quietly. Angel looked like he was about to say something, but was cut of by Temperance.
"What the hell do you mean that you are just friends? Do I look like something that comes from two people who are just friends. I mean come on mom you can't really be that dense. Even Xander can see how much he cares for you." Temperance said sounding angry. Xander tried to say something, but stood silently after Temperance glared at him.
Willow looked doubtful, but didn't say anything more. After a moment, Whistler continued on with his story.
~Part 11~
Whistler continued on with his story. When he was finished everyone could clearly see the problem. Evil and good always had to be in a balance, with out evil how would you know what good is. The new evil they would be facing was not what would be unlike the evil they had faced before, but what would be different would be those who knew about the evil.
"I get what you're saying, but demons have been around since the beginning of time. And there have never been more than a few people who believed in them." Willow said.
"Yes, but that is about to change Willow." Whistler said.
"So people are going to know about demons, won't that help us fight them?" Xander asked.
"You would think so, but it will only cause more problems. There are those creatures that are good that could be destroyed because not every will be open minded when dealing with them. Take for example witches. Not all of them are bad, but that won't matter there will be certain people who will want them all dead." Whistler told them.
"How are we supposed to stop this from happening?" Angel asked.
"I can't tell you that. I'm sorry you must fight this battle on your own." Whistler said.
"Well when exactly are we supposed to be fighting this battle?" Buffy asked.
"We can't tell you that either. You will know when its time to fight." Temperance told her.
"So let me get this straight, " Willow started she sounded very mad, "You show up here to warn us about a new evil, you tell us hardly anything and that's it you're going to leave. You won't tell us any details. How the hell can your warning really help us at all." She stopped talking for a moment and tried to calm herself. No one said anything and after a minute Willow turned to Angel.
"Angel, I don't care if he is your friend or not I want him gone and I want him gone know." Willow said quietly. Angel wasn't even about to try and argue with her. She looked like she was on the verge of crying, and the last thing he wanted for her to do was cry.
"Whistler I think you had better leave now." Angel told him.
"Yes I do believe that would be for the best. But I leave you with one final piece of advice trust nothing you see." With that said he walked off and faded into the background.
"Well I guess I had better be going to." Temperance said.
"Are you really my daughter?" Angel asked as she started to walk off.
"Yes I am. Don't worry too much daddy things will work out you'll see." And then she was gone.
Everything went black and then they were all back at the mansion.
"Is everyone ok?" Giles asked.
Everyone gave him their reply that assured him that everyone was indeed ok.
"Well I don't know about everyone else, but I'm still tired. Why don't we all head to bed?" Cordelia said.
"I think that would be a great idea." Giles said agreeing.
"There a great many number of places to sleep through out the house feel free to use any of them. I'm going for a walk." Angel walked out of the house thankful night had fallen.
"Well, lets head to bed." Joyce said.
"I can show you where to sleep Joyce." Spike said. "Why thank you Spike." Joyce said thinking about how nice Spike could be when he wanted to.
Spike started to lead her down the hall before his reply could be heard.
"No problem pet my bedroom is this way." Spike told her.
"Your bedroom now you just." The others didn't get to hear the rest of what Joyce said.
"Giles would you help me find a room?" Cordelia asked.
"Why yes of course." He told her. And they headed off in the opposite direction that Spike and Joyce had taken.
"Well you kids don't stay up to late. Ira and I are going to go sleep in the where we put Angel." Shelia linked her arm with Ira's and headed off to sleep.
"I'm going upstairs. Do you want to come with me Buffy?" Willow asked.
"No, I'm going to go on a quick patrol." Buffy said. Willow headed upstairs and Buffy headed out the door. Leaving Xander and Dawn alone on the couch.
"Xander would you sleep here with me?" Dawn asked.
"Sure will." Xander said. They both curled up on the couch and Xander covered them up with a blanket.
Upstairs Willow had found the most wonderful room she had ever seen. She assumed it was Angel's. As she explored the room she found that there were 3 doors in the room. One was locked, once was the biggest closet she had ever seen she didn't know Angel owned that much clothing, and the third was a bathroom with a huge black marble tub that could have easily held 3 people. Although she was tired seeing that tub was just too much for her to resist. She filled the tub with hot water and used some soap to make it a bubble bath. Once the tub was full she took off her cloths and climbed in.
Angel couldn't believe all that had happened tonight. He still couldn't get over the fact that he was no longer in hell. Not only that, but Willow loved him, or at least she would love him. She had to love him he couldn't believe that Willow would have a child with him and not love him.
"I just need stop thinking." Angel said to himself.
"You know they say the first sign that you're going crazy is when you start talking to yourself." Buffy said coming up to stand beside Angel.
Angel had been so caught up in his own thoughts he hadn't even heard her.
"Buffy." He said acknowledging her.
"Angel I think we need to talk." Buffy told him.
"Yes, I suppose we do." Angel replied.
"Ok I'm going to start and I don't want you to interrupt," Buffy started and paused for Angel's reaction, Angel nodded he head and she continued, "Angel when we first met I saw you as my savior, and I fell in love with you. The truth is I'll always love you, but not the way Willow dose. Lets face it we never would have worked out. I realize that know. I also realize that you and Willow were made for each other. She was an absolute mess while you were gone, so don't leave again. And while we are on the subject of leaving what the hell are you doing standing around out here. Willow is back at the house."
Buffy could tell Angel was relived that she wasn't expecting their relationship to pick up where it left off, and she smiled.
"Thank you Buffy." With that said Angel turned around and headed back to the house, back to his Willow.
