Christmas Eve - Angel's (LA)

Angel was sleeping peacefully in his bed, this day no different than any other except that it was Christmas tomorrow, though at 244 years of age, and alone, it no longer held the excitement it once had.

As he shifted in his dreamless sleep, his subconscious became aware of movement around him.

Waking, Angel had opened his eyes just in time to see what appeared to be a bat descending upon him.

Then everything went dark.

Unknown Location

Angel slowly awoke, becoming painfully aware of the thumping in his head.

Reaching his hand up to inspect the wound, he found that his arms and legs were chained to the bed.

Struggling against his bonds, he attempted to free himself, only to find the effort futile, the chains more than strong enough to hold him. His movements causing his head to start pounding even more, he slid back into unconsciousness.

"What the hell did you hit him with?" said the woman.

"Does it matter?" said the man.

"I told you not to hurt him!"

"Well, how else were we meant to get him here. Ask nicely?"

"Never mind, he's here now." The woman said. "Besides, he does look kinda nice all chained up."

"If you say so. I don't understand what you see in him myself."

Ignoring him, she asked. "Is the room finished?"

"Almost. We're just going to finish it off now."

"Great. You do that while I get him changed." She said.

"What? Oh never mind." He said as she left.

Christmas Day

When Angel awoke this time, the pounding in his head had gone.

Moving his arms in an attempt to get more comfortable, Angel was surprised to find his arms free, no longer held by the chains that had bound him earlier.

Slowly sitting up, Angel was relieved to find that the pounding in his head had not re-surfaced, his vampire healing abilities taking care of it.

Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, Angel noticed he was no longer in the clothes he was taken in.

Instead, he was wearing a pair of tight fitting leather pants, and a fuzzy jumper with a Christmas tree on it.

<What the->

He was cut off mid thought as however when the door started to open.

Preparing to attack whoever walked through the door, he sighed in relief in who he saw.

"Willow?"

"Who were you expecting? Father Christmas?" she teased.

"No…I just didn't except to see you here…rescuing me?"

"Yes, rescuing you Angel. But not from the bad guys, but from yourself."

"Myself?" Angel asked confused.

"Walk with me Angel and I'll explain."

Taking her offered hand, Willow led him out of the room, with a very confused Angel behind her.

"Willow, I don't und-"

"Shh, let me explain." Willow said. "Firstly, let me apologize for your head."

"You did that?!"

"No, Doyle did. But it's my fault. I asked him to get you here."

"Do-"

"Angel, let me finish. I asked him to bring you here. You know, ask you. But he had other ideas instead."

"Oh. So…why did you bring me here?"

"Um…well, after all you've gone through, it may not seem like much, but it seemed a good idea at the time and-"

"Willow."

"Oh, sorry, right. Well it's just through here." Willow said as she let him towards a double set of doors.

"Um Willow? Before we go in there, why am I dressed like this?"

"Well, the jumper's to try to put you in the Christmas mood and the pants are well…well I like them, they look *really* good on you."

"Oookay, if you say so. And I thought you didn't celebrate Christmas." Angel said as they reached the doors.

"I do say so. And I know I'm Jewish but your not so let it drop. Now do me a favor. Shut you eyes and don't peak."

Looking at her for a moment, Angel sighed and did as she asked, hearing the squeak as the doors were open and allowed himself to be lead into the room.

Hearing Willow telling him to stop, Angel complied and felt her move away from him, and wondered what was going on when Willow suddenly spoke.

"Open your eyes Angel."

Taking a deep breath, Angel opened his eyes and was floored by what he saw around him.

"Merry Christmas Angel!" yelled a chorus of voices.

Jumping back slightly at the sudden outburst, he looked towards Willow, and found her standing with Doyle and Cordelia. Then, looking around and past Willow, he took in the decorations and the huge Christmas tree behind them.

"What's going on here?" Angel asked unable to believe his eyes.

"What does it look like Angel? We're helping you celebrate Christmas. These past few weeks you've been brooding more than usual. And have changed the subject everytime someone mentions Christmas. Well I've decided that if you aren't going to enjoy Christmas then we're going to help you do it."

"Oh…Willow I can't believe you guys would do this for me, even if the way you got me here was a bit over the top." He said giving Doyle a pointed look.

"Look I'm sorry okay, jeez, some people came be so ungrateful."

"Ugh, ignore him, he's just full of himself at the moment. So, you going to join us or not?" Cordeila asked.

Looking at Willow who was nodding her head, he gave in.

"Sure, why not." He said taking the offered glass from Doyle and began his Christmas celebrations.
