3:02 am

Shifting her backpack as she hurried towards the mansion, Willow clutched the stake she had brought with her tightly to her chest. Lowering her other hand, she reached into her pocked and felt the cross and that she had placed there as she had hurried out the door.

Shivering as a gust of wind hit her, she quickened her pace, wanting to get to the mansion as soon as possible.

The mansion…

Approaching the mansion, Willow took a deep breath.

<Well, this is it. > She thought as she stopped outside the front door. <Time to find out if I'm right…or going crazy. >

Reaching down, Willow gripped the doorknob and turned it, opening the door. Walking into the mansion, Willow was struck by how cold it was, the stone walls and floor sucking the warmth away.

Walking inside, Willow shut the door behind her, plunging the room into almost total darkness. Crouching down, she unzipped her backpack and rummaged through the items that she had packed until she found her torch.

Switching it on, she picked up her bag and dropped it onto the couch and started to walk around the room, looking for any sign that she was right, that Angel was here.

Then she found him.

Casting the beam around the room, she heard a noise. Swinging around, Willow held the torch in the direction of the sound.

Shining the light in the corner, she saw him. He was lying on his side, curled up in a ball, naked and shivering from the cold.

Quickly walking over to him she crouched down beside where he lay.

"Angel? Angel can you hear me?" she asked. Getting no response she tried again. "Angel?"

Realizing that this was getting her nowhere, she started to get up to look for a blanket to cover him with.

Suddenly he reached out and grabbed her arm, halting her movements. Looking down at him, Willow took a deep breath trying to calm herself from the scare he had given her.

Looking into his eyes, she saw the pleading look not to leave him and her heart broke.

Reaching down, she removed his hand from her arm and took his hand in hers.

"Don't worry Angel. I'm coming back I promise. I'm just going to find you a blanket to keep you warm okay."

Letting go of his hand, she stood up and began to search the mansion, hoping to find something to use to keep Angel warm.

She returned a short while later, finding some blankets in a storage closet.

Putting them down beside the couch, she put her bag down next to them and walked back over to Angel.

"Angel? Angel?" seeing him look up at her she carried on. "Angel, why don't you lay on the couch okay. It'll be more comfortable."

Bending down she helping him to stand and started to lead him over to the seat.

Seeing him suddenly reach out for support from the wall, she walked over to him and put his arm across her shoulders, letting him lean on her.

"It's okay, Angel. We're almost there." she said as they approached the couch.

Helping him lay down, she reached down and picked the blankets up and covered him with them, trying not to look at his body and hoping they offered some warmth for him.

Sitting down next to him, she took his hand in hers, and whispered soothing words of comfort to him till her drifted to sleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

By the time Angel had woken up again, Willow had started a fire in the fireplace and had found some candles to shed some light in the room.

Walking back over to him she smiled. "Your awake. Do you feel better?"

"That's okay, you don't have to talk yet. Wait till you feel better." She said receiving no response. She was about to let him sleep some more when she though of something. "Angel, when was the last time you fed?"

Noticing Angel look away from her Willow sighed. < He probably hasn't had anything since he got back. And I didn't think to bring anything. >

Getting up Willow walked over to the mantle and retrieved the knife that lay there. She had put it there earlier after she had found it just in case she needed to protect herself from something.

Picking it up, she walked back over to Angel and sat beside him once again. Noticing he was about to fall asleep again, she picked the knife up and made a small incision on her wrist. Just deep and wide enough to let some blood trickle out but not as to harm her.

Raising her wrist, she lowered it over Angel's mouth and let her blood trickle onto his lips, sighing in relief when he opened is mouth to capture the droplets. Lowering her wrist so it rested on Angel's mouth, she felt him began to suck on it, taking the blood she offered.

Suddenly however his hand came up and pulled her arm away from him, his eyes filled with shock and guilt.

"Angel, you need blood, you're weak. If you don't you could die." She said, not wanting him to feel guilty about what he had done.

"Angel please, drink…for me…" she said, her voice begging him.

Looking at her, he nodded his head slightly and Willow smiled at him.

"Good, you can scold me about doing this when you're better." She said, lowering her wrist again.

Feeling Angel's tongue flick out and capture the droplets of blood that had settled on her arm, she watched as he changed into his game face and cried out softly as she felt his fangs pierce her skin.

Closing her eyes, she fought the urge to pull away and instead let him feed off her, pushing the pain aside. As Angel became less demanding on her wrist, she couldn't stop the low moan that escaped her lips and Angel suckled on her wrist.

Feeling him retract his fangs and pull away from her wrist, she opened her eyes, trying to fight the dizziness that was over coming her, and looked down at him as he licked the last remains of her blood into his mouth.

Looking down into his eyes, she saw the guilt-ridden look in his eyes once more.

Moving her arm away from his mouth, she ran her hand along his cheek.

"Sush, it's okay Angel…it's okay." Willow said, starting to feel dizzy. Moving to get up, she felt her head began to spin and then everything went dark.
