Prologue

September 5, 2000

It had been over three months since anyone had heard from Willow. She had disappeared from Sunnydale without a clue to what had happened. Xander took it the worst, with his long time buddy gone he distanced himself from everyone thinking it was somehow his fault, and without her the Scooby gang had lost its most prized member. It was hard at first; they never knew how important she was to them and how hard it was to hack into all those databases. But after a while they all learned to make it without her there. Surprisingly it was Anya who got them to move on; saying things about dealing with it and that it was bound to happen sooner or later. And she was right; they had been fighting evil so long it was a wonder even Buffy had made it through everything.

Soon enough they all dealt with it. Buffy and Riley planned a private memorial service for Willow where they talked about all the fun times they had together. During the service Giles said he knew she wasn’t dead and vowed never to stop looking for her. He felt he had lost a daughter and could never forgive himself if she was alive somewhere in pain. Before long Tara stopped coming to meetings and spent more time in her room alone. Buffy tried to talk with her but Tara told her it was too hard. Buffy never conceived their relationship until then but she finally understood how much they cared for one another.

No one expected to hear from Willow again, but one day Giles found a large envelope in the mail. There was no name or return address on it so he read the postmark and saw it was from Greece. Giles looked at the package for a while wondering what was inside of it. It took him awhile to get the nerve to open it, being in his line of business you never know what could be inside. But when he recognized Willows handwriting Giles almost had a heart attack. He never expected the shock of finding out what happened to Willow and whom she had been with for the last three months:

Giles,

I'm sorry for leaving without telling you guys I was all right, but the thing is I wasn’t and I didn't know how to tell everyone what happened. So I bet you want to know what happened huh? Well the night I disappeared Druscilla grabbed me. She took me somewhere outside of Sunnydale where she told me that she was going to make us all pay for what we had done, she was going to make me a vampire and not any ordinary vampire but one strong enough to kill Buffy. She drained me and preformed some ritual that made me what I am. When I woke the next morning they were all sleep and I walked outside thinking I was still human, well you can guess what happened next, the horrible feeling of your own skin burning. I screamed thinking maybe Buffy or one of you would come rescue me but no one came, I was alone and angry. I went back inside and started to think. First I thought what I was, and how could I ever live a normal life. Second, was I'm inside a vampire lair with one of my worst enemies sleeping in the next room.

When night fell I left, I thought it would be best if I left. I didn't know what I was going to do and I was starving and not normal let me eat Twinkies hungry but the nasty vampire let me drink your blood hungry. Giles it was so hard that first night, I didn't want to, but something inside of me made me do it. After that I couldn’t come back not even if I had the will power to face you all. I went to the only person who could help me and I never expected for things between us to become like they are now.

Now before I tell you and I think you already know who it is. I want you to know that I don’t want to hurt anybody else, I want you to tell everyone what I am. I am a vampire almost like Angel, I still have my soul, its here permanently, and that means forever. I don’t get all bumpy when I change either, I can still eat solid foods but only after I get you know what, and I'm a lot stronger than the rest (I still don’t know the limit of my power). I think Drusilla didn't read the fine print on the spell. We still don’t know what I am but I was hoping you could help with finding that out.

Giles I don’t know how to say this but I love Angel more than anyone else in the world. I didn't know I could feel this way with anyone. He helped me get through everything and I helped him get a permanent soul that's why we're in Greece. I know everything about him and I can talk to him about anything. We are together and we don’t want anyone else. Please tell Tara that I love her and that I always will it's just that now things are different and we can never have what we had. Tell Xander and Buffy that we'll deal with things like we always use to do, chocolate and junk food.

Anyway, when you get this I should be back in LA, I mailed it before I left. Angel said I should just call you but I think you should call me, you know his number.

Giles laughed at Willows closing statement, he didn't know how to tell everyone what happened but he would find a way. Now sitting in his living room after talking with Angel, Giles was happy know that Willow and Angel were coming to Sunnydale at the end of the week.
 
 

Part 1: September 8, 2000

After the trip to Greece Willow decided that it was time for them to go back to Sunnydale. Willow had finally learned to accept being a vampire, and wanted to see her friends. After she told Angel he chartered the first flight he could to LA. Giles had called them a week later and reassured them they would always have a place in Sunnydale. Angel told him at the end of the week they would be there. When they finally arrived Buffy and Xander were waiting impatiently in the courtyard for them to arrive.

Xander looked up from the ground to see Angel pulling Willow along with him. He immediately rushed to Willow and pulled her into a hug.

"How are you?" Xander asked holding onto her tightly.

"Xander Im fine, happy even."

"Good, so how's deadboy treating you?"

"Like he should." Willow answered looking at Angel.

"Will, I missed you so much." Buffy said pulling her into the apartment. "Angel I just need to talk to her for a sec, it won't take long."

"Does anyone else see disaster coming?" Xander commented raising his hand.

Buffy took Willow to the upstairs bedroom and sat down on the bed.

"We just need to clear some things up. Why did you leave? We could have helped you Willow, we would never have pushed you away."

"Buffy I couldn’t come back, you don’t know how it feels to be a vampire. Especially after taking someones life. None of you could help me; I went to the only one who could. Angel knows how it feels, he lives with it everyday and you don’t know how hard it is. You should have seen Cordielia when she found out I was there and a vampire. Wesley took it better than I thought he would, he didn't try to kill me or anything. "

"So you and Angel are really together?" Buffy asked sadly.

"Buffy its not like I want to hurt you, but we are together. When I first came to him, he immediately wanted to call you guys but I begged him not to. Angel didn't know what happened to me and couldn’t believe it. But we sat down and talked that first night. And when I cried, he reassured me that we could work through this and maybe I could come back. After that we talked every night after he got back from his missions. He taught me how to fight and how to control the impulse to take life. I started helping him and soon going with him at night and fighting evil. But we still talked, Buffy I know more about him than the watchers council does. I don’t know when it happened, but when we first kissed it was like an explosion. I never felt that way with anyone; it was more powerful than any magic in the world. That’s when I started looking for a way to anchor his soul. Why couldn’t we be happy like everyone else?"

"What about Tara?"

"I don’t know what to do. I've been gone so long I was hoping that maybe she moved on and I won't have to feel bad about telling her. How is she doing?" Willow asked solemnly.

"After you disappeared she stopped coming to meetings. I talked to her and she said it was too hard for her to come here without you. She needed to move on with her life and get away from things for a while. She still lives in the dorm if you want to talk to her, I couldn’t find her to tell her you were coming back."

"I'll go tomorrow night, can you come with me?"

"Of course I will what are friends for?" Buffy said smiling.

"So how are you and Riley doing?"

"Great and that’s unusual, I thought with all the things that have been going on someone would have self-destructed by now. We even have a cute little apartment together."

"You think we should go back downstairs now?"

"Yeah, we have all tomorrow to catch up. Besides you guys couldn’t have come at a better time. There is this new master in town who thinks he and his girlfriend are Spike and Drusilla."

Buffy jumped up and offered her hand to Willow, she took her hand smiling, and glad she still had good friends like Buffy.
 
 

Downstairs

Angel sat uncomfortably between Giles and Riley. Xander had slipped off somewhere with Anya and he wasn’t expecting them back soon. Giles had been trying, unsuccessfully to make conversation with Angel about Willow. Angel felt he was trying to find out if she was still tempted by human blood. He tried to shrug it off because Giles didn't understand what she had been through. Willow didn't mean to kill that boy, every vampire has a demon and hers asserted itself that first night. Angel had worked with her until she was able to control it, just because she has a soul doesn’t mean she could resist a temptation as strong as bloodlust.

"So what has been going on here?" Angel asked changing the subject.

"Same as usual, just this time there's a vast rise in demon activity."

"Like what?"

"I think it's the backlash of what ADAM started, and the new master in town as well."

"New master? Whats his name?"

"There's two of them actually Jason and Kira. We know they're very old and that’s about it. You wouldn’t happen to know of them?"

" When I was first changed Darla introduced me to them. I know them, Jason isn't really the master, she is. Kira is a very powerful witch, I think you'll be needing our help if you want to destroy them."

"You know a lot about them?" Riley said jumping in the conversation.

"I know enough of them to help with defeating them. This is not ADAM, Kira has power beyond any other witch I have seen."

"That's something we didn't know, she must have raised the army of demons we've been fighting." Giles voiced trying to keep them from arguing.

"And that's just the beginning. Kira is here for a reason, she doesn’t like hellmouths they're too much power for her. She likes carnage with personal gain and most masters that come to Sunnydale just want the slaughter. She planning something big, that’s probably why all those demons have been out."

Giles was about to say something when Buffy and Willow came down the stairs. He stood up and embraced his long lost daughter.

"I want you to know I never gave up on you. Deep inside I knew you were somewhere alive." He assured her.

"Giles, you understand why I didn't come to you?"

"Not entirely, but I accept the reason why you didn't."

"It's getting late, we should have started patrols an hour ago." Riley voiced irately.

Buffy moved closer to him and took his hand sensing something was wrong.

"Riley is right, we should be out there. Willow you don’t mind if we go on a patrol?" Buffy asked.

"Of course not, I was thinking maybe I could come along like olden times." Willow replied.

"Then let's split up, it'll be quicker and when we get back we'll talk some more."
 

Part 2

Buffy and Riley went to patrol the cemetery while Angel, Willow and Xander went to the park.

"This is a little harder than I thought it would be." Willow said.

"It's okay, this is your first night back and we talked about what would happen." Angel replied.

"Yeah but it's hard to be here with things so different. I'm going to see Tara tomorrow."

"That's what you're worried about isn't it?"

"Yeah, I hate having to tell Tara that you and I are together when I never told her we were apart."

"You always put other peoples feelings ahead of your own. Willow you'll only hurt her if you lie."

"We are supposed to be patrolling you two can discuss your problems later." Xander said cutting into their conversation.

"Sorry."

"Im just joking."

"At least a few of us kept their sense of humor." Willow said smiling.

"Well we are supposed to be patrolling and I think I see some bad guys." he said motioning to the five vamps that were following them.

"I see them too. Everybody ready?" Angel said.

"I'm good." Xander answered.

"Just a little nervous." Willow said.

"Calm down, we fight, we dust, we go home and eat pizza. Although Angel I don’t think you would want anchovies."

Xander stopped walking and turned around to face the vamps.

"You know stalking went out in the eighties."

"We know who you are and our master will be happy when we bring your heads back to her." The leader said.

"How are you going to bring my head back when you're dust?" Xander said.

"Don’t be so sure that you'll be able to kill us."

"Lets just fight and see who wins."

The vampires started to attack Xander when Angel vamped out and grabbed one by the neck. Willow pulled one to the side and quickly dusted him. Surprised by how easily it was to kill him Willow started to fight with another. Angel and Xander finished the other three and watched Willow skillfully fight the last vamp.

"You taught her well." he commented.

"I tried my best. Um, Willow could you hurry we have other vampires to kill?"

Willow stopped fighting for a minute. "Sorry." She said before dusting the vamp.

"Willow you're like super good." Xander said.

"Thanks I had a good teacher." Willow replied looking at Angel.

"Well if it isn't Angelus gone all good." Announced a voice with a thick french accent coming from the trees.

"Jason you can come out now."

"I didn't know you missed me?" Jason said walking out from the darkness. He was tall and slender with black hair and big violet eyes that made his white skin seem to glow. His nose was broad, it didn't stick out more than it should and his lips were small but sensual. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans with a black sweater covering a white shirt. Willow was amazed; he looked nothing like a usual vampire, not one thing he wore was leather.

"I didn't miss you at all." Angel replied.

"That’s Jason? I was expecting someone bigger." Willow said sarcastically.

"You even found time to talk about me, I'm surprised. Why don’t you come and give your old friend a hug?"

"Why don’t you leave town?" Willow muttered under her breath.

"I think I like her, she can talk, fight, cute too, and not as unstable as Kira either." Jason said moving closer, "So what happened to you, one minute you where all bad ass evil guy and now you're all… I don’t know, is fuzzy the word?"

"You want to fight or talk Jason I don’t have time for pleasantries." Angel said annoyed.

"I think I'll talk a bit more then leave, I'm outnumbered three to one and I don’t feel like becoming dust right now. Now back to the subject I remember there was a time when Kira wanted to dump me for you. I think she would be embarrassed to admit it now. So anything you want to say before I leave?"

"Okay then why are you here?"

"My beloved witch said we where to come here and wait."

"Wait for what?" Willow asked curious.

"If I told you that it would ruin the surprise."

"If you tell us now maybe we'll let you live when we defeat you." She said firmly.

"Whats your name? Maybe when I defeat you I'll let you be my new girl."

"What about your girlfriend?"

"What about Kira? She's crazy and Im getting really sick of her waiting for some master person to come. So want to dump Angel here and join me?"

"Let me think about it for a minute… Not."

Angel had finally gotten sick of Jason flirting with Willow and lost his temper. Angel grabbed Jason by his collar and started beating him in the head. Willow and Xander stood back and watched Angel pummel Jason. When Angel felt he got the idea he stopped and pulled him to his feet.

"Now I think you got the idea I don’t want to kill you Jason but I will if I have to!"

He backed away from Angel and started to run.

"Angel's really protective huh?" Xander asked Willow.

"I guess, he's never really acted that way before. Angel are you okay?" Willow asked concerned.

"I don’t know, something feels different… it's like the demon is trying to break free." Angel explained.

"But I made sure, no more Angelus. Your soul is there permanently or else we couldn’t have been able to…" Willow trailed off looking at Xanders embarrassed expression.

"Maybe that’s what Jason meant by Kira 'waiting for some master person to come'. But then I usually ask Giles when things like that happen." Xander replied changing the subject.

"Well let's go then, time is awasting." Willow said perkily.
 
 

Meanwhile

"What is with you tonight?" Buffy asked Riley.

"I don’t think Angel is right for Willow, that’s all."

"Then who is? In case you haven't noticed Willow is a vampire and if Angel isn't right for her then who is?"

"I don’t know, it's just…" Riley looked up.

Buffy stopped and looked him in the eye.

"I know you don’t like Angel but if you just take the time and talk to him maybe you will."

"Or maybe I'll hate him even more."

"Please, for Willows sake, you can at least pretend. Please?" Buffy batted her eyes and gave him one of her *I'm so innocent you have to agree with me* looks.

"You won't stop till I agree with you huh?"

"I don’t know what you're talking about."

"Alright but only on one condition, you have to clean the dishes for the rest of the month."

"You've got a deal."

Buffy stopped and held her hand out. Riley smiled and pulled her into a kiss.

An hour later Willow, Angel and Xander had came back to Giles' apartment, followed by Buffy and Riley. They had started discussing their patrols and about Jason.

"…the last time I felt that way was when I lost my soul." Angel said.

Everybody except Willow and Riley started thinking about what happened before when he lost his soul. Angel noticed the uncomfortable looks in their eyes and looked towards the ground. Willow just held onto his hand tighter making Angel feel better.

"What will happen if he loses his soul again?" Riley asked curious.

"He can't anymore I made sure of it." Willow answered.

"How do you know that? Before I met you guys I didn't believe in magic and now I know that if you really want something done all you need is a little sage. From the things I've heard about him being evil, it wasn’t too pleasant and I would hate to see that for myself."

"But it wasn’t his fault, he didn't have a soul." Willow said defending him.

"That’s like saying we shouldn’t kill vampires because they don’t understand what they are doing."

"Riley" Buffy scolded.

"I'm not saying that, and I know that it's not only not having a soul that makes them evil. I'm a vampire, it means I am dead and so are all other vampires. I believe if they are without a soul and evil go ahead and kill them… again." Willow pleaded.

"So how does that make him not responsible for what he did?"

"Because without a soul the demon inside takes over completely."

"And what about what happened with you?"

"It's not the same, I didn't know what happened until it was done. I didn't know how to control it."

"And he knows how?"

"Riley whats your problem? I know you don’t like Angel all that well, but lay off." Willow expressed in a threatening voice.

"No I don’t, and I'm not going to pretend that I like him either. But there is something wrong here, he said so himself, and before he kills us all in our sleep I think we should find out what is going on."

Willow jumped up at what he had said and closed her eyes trying to calm down.

"It's late I think we should all go home and get some sleep. We'll meet back here tomorrow at noon." Giles said trying to keep them from fighting.

"Come on, I want to see Willow kick Riley's butt." Xander said making everyone turn to him. "You guys should have seen her fighting, it was cool. I think she could take him."

"Xander, out now and all the rest of you too."

"Riley you don’t understand anything about him and everything you said tonight comes from your jealously of Angel and what he had with Buffy."

Angel stood up and took Willows hand. He said goodbye to everyone and left pulling Willow along with him. Giles was relieved that someone stopped the argument before it erupted into something more. Not even Willow knew the extent of her strength and she could have easily hurt Riley.
 
 

Part 3
 
 

"You didn't have to pull me out like I was some child." Willow shouted at Angel after they had gotten to their hotel room.

"I didn't think it was a good idea for you to stay there arguing with Riley." Angel explained taking off his coat.

"I wasn’t going to touch him."

"Yeah but that last comment you made hit below the belt."

"He deserved it."

Angel walked over to Willow and put his arms around her waist. He pulled her onto the bed and started to stroke the hair from in front of her face. He spoke to her softly:

"Riley just needs time to get used to this. He is your friend and I dint think he'll ever like me. However that is his problem and I'm pretty sure in time Buffy will make him see that I'm not evil."

"Why can't he see what I see?"

"Because he's not you. Willow there was some truth to what he said, if Kira really wanted to get rid of my soul all she'll need is a spell."

"I won't let her take it, not after all we've been through together. I don’t care who she is I will kill her before she touches you or your soul."

"It's not my soul, it's yours and always will be. Willow I love only you, and so you know before anything happens, if I lose my soul Angelus will come after you first. Because of what we have and because of what he can get from you. He wants you, he wanted you from the beginning and if that happens I want you to make sure I can never lose it again."

Willow looked into his eyes and immediately knew what he wanted. She turned away and held back the tears that started to from in her eyes.

"I can't do it, I love you too much."

"You have to, it will be too dangerous for you not to. Willow did you know he used to stand in your room while you slept planning how he would take you? And after the uninvite spell he still came, standing in your doorway watching you from outside? I don’t want him to hurt you and for that I need for you to do whatever is in your power to stop him. And if it means killing me so be it."

"Angel, please don’t ask me."

"Willow if you can't do it then someone else will. I know how you feel about me, I feel the same about you and I could never hurt you. But precious, if Angelus comes out, he'll use your feelings for me against you just like he did with Buffy. I don’t want to die, I've finally found peace in my life and someone to share it with."

Willow faced Angel and started to cry into his shoulder. He held her understanding how she felt. If he were in the position she was in, he would do the same thing. But now wasn’t the time to grieve nothing had happened yet and if it was they needed to prepare.
 
 

The Next Morning

Buffy had headed directly from her apartment to the hotel where Willow was staying. She still didn't understand what had happened last night and wanted to ask Willow some questions. Giles was worried that her demon could somehow assert itself if she was under too much stress, he was researching what had happened to her and still couldn’t figure out what Druscilla had done.

Buffy walked into the hotel and was surprised to see Willow walking to the restaurant. She ran up to her and grabbed her shoulder.

"Willow," She said out of breath "I need to talk to you."

"Same here."

After they ordered the food Willow and Buffy sat in an uncomfortable silence for a time trying to find the words to say what they wanted to say.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Willow asked fiddling her thumbs.

"I was just going to ask you the same question. But I guess I should start first…. The things Riley said last night… I don’t know why he said them. I wanted to apologize for him and ask you are you sure you can control yourself?"

"Look Buffy, I know he was saying what everyone else was thinking but didn't have the guts to say. I wasn’t going to touch him; I just felt this surge of power coming through me. It was kind of like what happened to Angel, I didn't want to tell everyone that. I know that Giles thinks I'm a time bomb waiting to explode, but I'm not. It's just I don’t know whats going on and it scares me."

Buffy put her hand over Willows hoping to make her feel better.

"You're not evil and you're not the only scared one. This scares me too, how do you think it feels to not know where your best friend is for three months. Then this evil bitch and her, I hate to admit it, totally hot boyfriend comes to town and starts all the evil that we stopped over again. I need a vacation, we all need one with margaritas and Mai tai's." They both laughed.

"I wish we could find some spell to make everything all peachy…. He asked me to kill him last night." Willow said close to tears.

"What?"

"Angel said if he loses his soul again that he wants me to kill him."

"Willow I know from experience you can't do it, I couldn’t do it."

"I know that, but what if this is about me and not him? What if it's me losing my soul and not him?"

"I don’t know maybe we should tell Giles?"

"And then what? Giles already thinks I'm going to lose it anyway. Angel told me what they talked about when we were upstairs. Buffy this is something I never prepared for, if I lose my soul what would happen then? I don’t know how powerful I am and I don’t want to hurt anyone. Not again, I can't live with it."

Buffy just sat and stared at Willow for a while trying to figure out some way to make her feel better. She was about to say something when the waiter came and placed the food on the table. Willow looked up with a red tear falling from her eye and stared at Buffy.

"Willow, it's going to be okay we will get through this. Just like everything else we've been through and beat." Buffy said trying to keep herself from crying as well.

"No we won't, this time someone is going to lose. I can feel it, and its eating away at me. It hurts to know that all the happiness I've found is going to be destroyed."

"Willow just calm down, we'll find a way… we will."

"There is this scroll that tells about everything that Angel will face… and one of them is me. I convinced Wesley not to tell him I thought I could find a way to stop it before anything happened, now I think it's meant to happen… that maybe Angel is supposed to kill me."

"Don't say that ever. You're not going to die Willow you're my best friend I need you, you don’t know how hard it was to get along without you all those months. I won't lose you again."

"I've got to go, Angel will be up soon." She said getting up from the table.

"Okay, but we need to talk some more like later tonight when we go see Tara?"

"Sure and thanks Buffy, you don’t know how hard it is to only have Cordielia to talk to."

"I can imagine, and Willow I wont tell anyone."

Buffy and Willow gave each other a hug before leaving one another. Buffy just stood and watched Willow walk to the elevator. She sat back down at the table and put her face in her hands and thought about what she had to do. But first she had to find the only person who would help her without saying anything to the rest. And luckily she knew where to find him.

An hour later Buffy found herself at Spikes lair. She walked in slowly looking around to see if he was there. Soon enough he jumped out at her in game face.

"What do you want?" He said changing back to normal.

"I need your help with something."

"What is it?"

"Before I tell you, you need to know I wouldn’t do this unless it was very important. So even if it means losing some of your almost gone dignity will you do it?"

"Depends on how much you're going to compensate me for it."

"How about five hundred?"

"Now you're talking. What do you need me to do?"

"I need you to find out what Kira wants and help somebody keep their soul."

"I'll do the first one but if you want me to help that bloody poof forget about it."

"Not him, someone else."

"Who else?"

"Willow."

"Willow?" Spike asked disbelieving. "She's back? What happened to her?"

"Your ex girlfriend did something to her. Now she's like this super vampire and she may be losing her soul."

Spike turned around and let out an unneeded breath. He shook his head and walked to the door.

"I'll help you, and you can keep your money. I consider Willow a friend and if she needs my help I'll do it. But if I do it you have to pay me for a weeks worth of food."

Buffy smiled. "Great. Oh! One more thing, you can't tell anybody. Maybe Willow if she asks you, but not Xander, Giles, Riley or Angel. She doesn’t want anyone else to know."

"Angel is here too?"

"Yeah, they're together."

"Together like together, together?"

"Together, together."

"Fine, just answer me this: What happened to Dru?"

"Willow killed her."

"Hmm… Dru dead, I really wanted to do that myself. I'd thought you or even Angel would do it but Willow. I'm really surprised."

"I'm not, after what she did to her. If it were me I would have thrown her out in the sun and watched her burn."

"You can leave now." Spike said gesturing to the door. As Buffy left she swore Spike was smiling.

Later at Giles apartment, Buffy stopped by to see Riley and Xander already there. She could tell by their silence they were discussing something that they didn't want her to know about.

"So whatcha guys talking about?" She said sitting on Riley's lap.

"Just about Kira." Xander supplied.

"You want me to fill me in on any new things you've probably discovered?"

"We were just discussing the things that Angel told us last night." Giles replied.

"And you couldn’t wait till later when Angel could tell you more?"

"Why? He and Willow could already be evil and we wouldn’t know it." Xander quipped in sounding totally different from last night.

"You know if any of you can't be man enough to tell me what you really were talking about I think Willow, Angel and I can do this on our own. Since the three of you seem to be fine by yourselves." Buffy said jumping up and walking to the door.

"And then what? Angel stabs you in the back while Willow watches not believing her perfect gentle Angel could actually do it." Riley shouted at her.

Buffy finally had it with Riley's comments and snapped. She slapped him across the face sending him flying into the couch.

"I'm sorry but that’s it! I'd rather be with Willow and Angel who are being honest about what is going on. Rather than the three of you who are talking behind our backs. Angel has done nothing to hurt any of you since he's been here. Do any of you know what he asked Willow to do last night?" They looked at each other for a moment and then shook their heads. "He asked her to kill him. If he does lose his soul that she would do it. I spent all of this morning trying to stop her from crying. I know how it is to be faced with a decision like that and it's hard to kill someone you love even if they are evil. And you two of all people should know how it affects them. Willow is still Willow even if she is a vampire, she is still my best friend in the world." Buffy screamed at them.

"Buffy, I'm sorry I didn't realize I was acting like a jerk." Riley said getting up.

"Sorry isn't good enough. You need to apologize to Willow and Angel first."

Buffy stomped out of the apartment and ran back to the hotel where Angel and Willow were. She still had a few hours before she and Willow were supposed to go and see Tara. Buffy figured she could stay there until then.
