10 Year Reunion

Part 17

"Hey hey hey, the food is here so let the fun begin," Cordelia said as she entered the house where she and the other women would be spending the night, watching over a wolfed out Oz. She carried quite a few sacks of food from the restaurant, which the others quickly relieved her of. "So, have I missed anything yet?"

"Nope," Faith grinned," just Willow telling us about her getting revenge on Xander for stealing her Barbie." Cordelia laughed.

"Oh yeah, I remember that," she said. "Didn't you tell him that you were going to steal his G.I. Joe and put him in Barbie's clothes since you didn't have your doll anymore?"

Willow giggled, "Yup and you should have seen his face when I did that. It was classic."

The women in the living room laughed out loud at the image of a five year Xander panicking over the fact that his G.I. Joe might suddenly become a cross-dresser. Their laughter was interrupted by a howl from the wolf below them. Faith walked over to the basement door and opened it.

"Hush up Oz or it's trank time," she shouted down at her husband. Surprising the threat worked, but that was because after eight years the wolf knew enough that the woman that carried his scent meant the threat. "Much better." Faith closes the door and goes back in, joining the others.

"You know, one day you have to teach me how you do that," Anya tells the brunette.

"Do what?"

"Get your husband to obey your ass." This caused another round of laughter from the women.

"Spike always does what I want, but that could be because he's taken care of me for so long," Drusilla said. "He's good like that."

"Could be that he does it cause he love you too," Willow added. Her affection for the insane vampiress had grown over the years and she considered Drusilla one of her closet friends. "That and he knows Angel can still kick his ass if he does anything to hurt you. Not to mention Faith."

"That could also be why," Drusilla smiled.

"Okay, we're all here and it's ten o'clock. That means truth or dare since we haven't played that in awhile," Cordelia said. The girls all got comfortable as Willow volunteered to go first.

"Okay, Faith, truth or dare?"

"Ummm, truth." Willow grinned as she thought of her question to the slayer.

"Out of all the men in our group, other than Oz, who is the one man that you would like to sleep with." The women in the room laughed at Faith's sudden discomfort.

"Ummm, well, Spike," she whispered so low that the other mortals didn't hear her, but Spike's mate did.

"Spike," Drusilla repeated. "Why?"

Faith started to turn red, "Well, I mean, the guys been around for over a hundred years and I'm sure that he knows a thing or two about pleasing a woman."

"Oh he does," Drusilla added as everyone giggled.

"Okay, my turn." Faith looked around the room as she looked for her victim. "Cordelia, truth or dare?"

"Ummm, dare?" Cordelia replied.

"I dare you to call Spike's and have phone sex with Giles." The room erupted in hysterics as Cordelia started sputtering. She hesitated a minute, enduring the jibs that were tossed her way, finally gathering the nerve to go ahead with the call. Cordelia dialed Spike's number, hushing the others as they held back their laughter. She asked for Giles and as soon as he picked up, she began to tell him all of the things that she wanted to do to him. Willow and Faith excused themselves, running to the kitchen on the pretense of getting something to drink, when instead they picked up the other phone, listening to the call. They had to put it on mute so that their giggling wouldn't be heard by either party. They listened as Giles breathing got noticeable heavier at Cordelia's words, finally ending with a scream. They hung up the phone quickly, grabbing a couple of sodas before heading back into the living room. Cordelia's face had an evil grin to it.

"Very nice, Cordy," Faith said. "I am impressed."

"Yeah, I hope you enjoyed listening in." Willow and Faith just nodded their heads, grinning madly. "You two are so bad. Well, my turn. Anya?"

"Truth."

"Okay, what was the worst thing that you ever did when you were a demon?"

Anya sat back and thought a few minutes. "Well, let's see, there are so many. I mean I was a demon for over 1100 years." Anya thought another moment. "I guess the worst thing I did was destroy an entire village."

 "What happened?" Willow asked.

"There was this young couple, very much in love, but the villagers hated her because she came from gypsy stock, while his family was very influential. One night the two of them had decided to run away and get married. Well the townspeople found out and hunted them down. The boy died trying to protect the girl. She called to me two days later. It took her that long to finally allude her pursuers. She asked me to destroy the whole town for what they had done to her and her love. No matter who was involved in the actual act, she wanted them all punished. So I did as she asked." Anya's voice had a quiet tone to it, indicating how much regret she had over her past acts as a vengeance demon. The other women in the room were silent as Anya told of the destruction of a town all because of the hatred of some. None of them truly understood how you could hate someone just because they were different. Anya took a deep breathe, composing herself. "Okay, Willow, truth or dare?"

 "Truth."

"How do you really feel with Buffy being back?" Anya had decided to make Willow talk about what she was feeling and couldn't think of any other way other than the direct approach.

"Anya, that's none of our business," Cordelia admonished the woman.

"The hell it isn't Cordy," Anya retorted. "Buffy comes back to town and slaps Willow for no reason and it becomes my business. Do you know that Buffy was pumping Xander for information earlier today at the park?"

 "She was?" Willow asked quietly.

"Yes, but don't worry. Xander told her that the two of you were very happy together and that he supported you and Angel."

Willow offered her friend a smile. "Thanks."

 "So now, answer my question."

Willow took a deep breathe. "I feel a few things. I mean, I'm happy to see her. She changed my life and I always wondered if she was even still alive. She was my best friend. She's the reason I even attempted to get Angel out of hell. I thought she would come back if I did.

"I'm a little sad too. I mean, I wish she had found some of the happiness that we all have. She deserves it after everything that she has gone through. It must have been hard on her being alone. But I'll be damned if she thinks that she can just come back here and think everyone will be the same. That the relationships will go back to the way they were before we graduated."

"Willow, give her time. I'm sure that she will realize that you and Angel belong together," Faith comforted.

"Daddy and you are meant to be. Miss Edith told me that the two of you would be together always, that's why Spikey and I came back," Drusilla added.

"I know that Angel and I are meant to be together. I have no doubt of his love for me," Willow told the group. "As for Buffy accepting it, I don't know. I mean, I can't be with Angel twenty-four seven so there will be times when she can see him when he is away from me." Cordelia decided to tell Willow what had happened that day in the restaurant.

"She already did." Willow turned at her oldest friend. "She came into the restaurant earlier. Actually she was there up until I left to come here. She took off right after Angel and Giles. Even tried to finagle an invite to the guys place. Didn't work though," Cordelia told the group smugly.

"Do you know what she and Angel talked about?" Willow asked.

Cordelia shook her head, "Sorry, I don't. I know that she wasn't happy about whatever he said to her. Kim was ready to kick her ass when she found out about her hitting you. I'm telling you, Giles has his hands full with that little girl. Talk about protective. She told me that she informed Buffy that she had never seen anyone more romantic than the two of you."

"Yeah, that sounds like Kimmy to me. That girl has a heart of gold when it comes to the people she cares about," Willow stated. "I hope Buffy doesn't try anything. I'm just afraid that she won't give up and that she'll try to drive a wedge between Angel and I. Not that it will work, but I'm pretty sure she'll try."

"Well, there is one way to make sure that nothing she says will divide the two of you," Anya said. "I don't know why you haven't told him yet."

"I'm afraid that he'll be upset. I mean, the girls are 8 and 5. And as much as I hate to say it, Angel isn't exactly a young man anymore." The girls all laughed.

"Willow, Angel hasn't been a young man since the day you met him," Faith told the red head. "We'll you know what I mean. As a mortal he's 38. I don't know how he'll feel if I tell him now."

"He'll be ecstatic and you know it. He loves you," Cordelia added. "So just tell him your pregnant and get it over with."

Willow sighed, "Fine, tomorrow. I'll tell him tomorrow. Happy?"

 "Yup."

"Good, now who shall I ask next?" The slumber party turned into a giggle fest the rest of the night as the women relived their high school years, or in Drusilla's case finally got the youth that she always wanted. They gave each other makeovers, watched sad movies and ate lots of ice cream before finally settling down to get some sleep.
