Part 14

The Bronze was hopping Friday as Buffy, Xander, Oz and Faith paid the cover and entered. The four were somewhat surprised because the Bronze was actually doing a Karoake night and they weren’t sure that the other kids were going to like it. They looked up at the staged and saw Harmony and some of her sheep trying to sing the song from Titanic and failing miserably. The four friends found a table and made themselves comfortable, Oz and Xander going to get drinks for them.

"I can’t believe I let you talk me into coming here tonight, B," Faith said to the blonde next to her.

"Hey, it’ll be fun to see everyone else make fools of themselves," Buffy commented as Harmony finally ended the torture she was inflicting and left the stage. "It’s not everyday that high schoolers normally act like idiots voluntarily." Oz and Xander rejoined the girls, putting the drinks in front of them before sitting down. Xander sat next to Faith while Oz sat near Buffy.

"Willow is coming tonight, right Oz?" Buffy asked the boy next to her.

"Yeah, she said she would meet us here," he told her. "I just hope that she isn’t with Cordelia. I don’t like the influence that she has over my Willow." Buffy placed a hand on Oz’s arm.

"Don’t worry. I’m sure that everything will be okay," she assured him.

"Yeah, Willow’s never been one to do anything too drastic," Xander chimed in. "It’s just not in her nature to be a vindictive bitch, which we know is Cordelia’s strong suit."

"And yet, you still had a thing for her," Faith teased Xander, who suddenly grew quiet.

"Yeah, well, that was a mistake," he said, but the others could tell that it was a mistake that he wished he could do all over again. Xander decided that he wanted to change the topic from himself. He turned to Buffy, "So, can we plan on Deadboy joining us tonight?" Buffy shrugged her shoulders.

"I don’t know. I haven’t talked to him since Monday," Buffy explained. "He hasn’t joined me on patrol and I never got his new number or address."

"What he didn’t tell you where he was staying?" Xander asked the girl. Buffy just shook her head.

"Nope, not a word," she replied. "He just changed the subject every time I tried to bring it up." She looked up as the person on stage tried to hit a high note and missed horribly, causing everyone to laugh.

"Okay, who’s gonna be the brave one here and go up there to sing," Xander asked, looking at the others. Oz just raised his hands.

"Don’t look at me. I’ve been on that stage enough as it is," he said.

Not me," Faith added. "I can think of better ways of killing myself." Xander turned to Buffy.

"Buffster, what about you and me. Care for a little duet?" Xander asked hopefully.

"Maybe later," Buffy told him. "After I’ve seen a few others look stupid." She was about to say something else, when she saw Xander’s chin drop open at something behind her. She turned around and gasp, hitting Oz’s shoulder to show him what had shocked her. Faith also saw what they were staring at and couldn’t believe it.

Willow and Cordelia walked into the club, blissfully aware of the commotion that they were causing among the male population of the club and ignoring the boys that tried to gain their attention. They were in identical outfits, the only differences being in color. They were wearing a string halter crop top and a long, skin hugging skirt that had slits up to their thighs. Willow’s was of a deep emerald green color that high lighted her eyes, while Cordelia’s was a deep midnight blue. Both had on a pair of strappy high heels that helped emphasize their legs. Cordelia’s hair was up in a french twist and had some baby’s breathe in it. Willow had hers braided and pinned in a bun in the back. She also wore a chain maille head piece, along with a chain bracelet, belt and anklet. All in all, the two women presented the picture of sheer sex appeal that the men in the room could not deny.

Cordelia saw Buffy and the others staring at them and pointed them out to Willow, who turned to look over at them. She gave them a small smile before turning and going to another table. As soon as the two girls sat down, they were surrounded by boys offering to buy them drinks or asking them to dance, all of their offers being gently declined. Finally, after making it obvious that they weren’t interested in what the boys were offering, the two were left alone.

"Are they staring over here?" Willow asked Cordelia. Willow had sat so that her back was to her former friends, giving them a view of the fake tattoo that she had placed on her back shoulder of a little angel. Cordelia slyly glanced over her shoulder to the group, seeing that they were indeed still staring at them.

"Oh yeah, they are definitely staring at you," Cordelia laughed. "Man, I think Oz and Xander’s tongues are hitting the floor. I’ve never seen Xander’s eyes bug so much." Willow grinned at the thought of Xander finally noticing her. There was a time that she would have done anything for that kind of attention from the boy she had known since childhood, but that had changed. Now, her thoughts were of Angel.

 "What about Buffy?" she inquired.

"Chin hanging down, also hitting floor. Oh Willow, you really need to turn around and see this," Cordelia told the girl through her smiling face. Willow turned and looked over at the table and her smile grew wider at the sight that greeted her. Buffy was in shock. Xander was in heat. Faith seemed surprised but unaffected while Oz looked angry. Willow turned back to face Cordelia.

"Oh, this is even better than I had hoped," she said. "Now for the finishing touch." Willow motioned for the waitress and handed her a piece of paper to take to the deejay, signaling him that everything was ready. Angel and Spike had prearranged with him everything that need to be done. As soon as the group of people onstage finished their rendition of "Livin La Vida Loca", the deejay took the mic.

"Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Our next act comes as a special request. Let’s hear it for the Ladies of the Night, Cordelia and Willow." The crowd applauds and many of the guys cat call and whistle as the girls take the stage. At their table, Buffy leans over to Oz.

"I didn’t know that Willow was going to sing tonight," she whispered.

"Neither did I," he shrugged. "She never said anything to me." The two broke off their conversation as Willow started talking.

"This song is for all of you boys out there that don’t know a good thing when you have it," Willow said.

"You know who you are," Cordelia continued, looking over at Xander who visibly flinched. "You’re the ones that have decided to see it the grass is truly greener on the other side." The girls signal to the deejay who starts the song.

You talked me into moving in and giving you my key
You said you’d be a mess now if it hadn’t been for me
You said I stole your heart away by looking in your eyes
I wonder now how many times you sold that pack of lies

If this is how you act when you give your heart
Well take it back
Take it back

You told me I was everything you wanted and more
Then tell me what you’re doing now sneaking out the back door
You’re bringing home flowers and a bottle of Chablis
You forgot I don’t drink wine, I know that bottle’s not for me

If this is how you act when you give your heart away
Well take it
Take it back

Oh you must think I’m blind
And I don’t smell your new cologne
You don’t think I realize
All the nights I spend alone

As they were singing, Willow and Cordelia had made their way down from the stage and sauntered over to the table holding the four friends. As she was singing, Willow made a point of emphasizing the lyrics to a confused Oz, while Cordelia did the same to an embarrassed Xander. As they continued they turned and walked back to the stage.

Well, I’m not one for sitting ‘round in some ole pity pool
You think you got a ticket and I must be some kind of fool
I hate to steal your thunder but your playing days are through
At least they are with me cause, babe, I got no use for you

 Tonight laying on the street
Babe, your bag is packed
So take it back

Willow and Cordelia finished their song to the sounds of applause from everyone but the four people that were the focus of the song. They just stared at the girls on stage, wondering what was going on. Their confusion only increased when it became obvious that Cordelia and Willow were going to stay on stage.

"Okay," Cordelia began, "that was for the boys that don’t know what they have. This next one is for the men who not only know when they have a good thing, they will do anything to make sure that the woman they are with knows it."

"This is for the men who know how to make a woman feel loved and cherished with both their actions and their words."

The sun contains a ray, they label vitamin d
If you like vitamin D, it’s quite all right with me

Buffy saw Angel enter the Bronze, surprised to see him in his leather pants and an emerald green shirt. She stood as he approached the table and was shocked when he didn’t stop, just continued on his way to the stage. Then she saw Spike entering from the back entrance also headed for the stage. (What is going on here.)

But I am here to say, that I like vitamin love
But I can’t get vitamin love
With that dog gone sun above.

I don’t care if the sun don’t shine
I’ll get my loving in the evening time
When I’m with my baby
It’s no fun with the sun around
But I get going when the sun goes down
And I meet my baby

Spike and Angel joined the women already on stage from different directions. The girls walked over to them, wrapping their free arm around the necks, while the guys held their waists.

That’s when we kiss and kiss and kiss
And, then, we kiss some more
Don’t ask how many times we kiss
At a time like this, who keeps score.

So I don’t care if the sun don’t shine
I’ll get my loving in the evening time>br> When I’m with my baby

During the music break, the two couples start a slow, erotic dance that matches the torch song quality of the song. The four friends sitting at the table can’t believe their eyes as they watch the people on stage.

I don’t care if the sun don’t shine
I’ll get my loving in the evening time
When I’m with my baby
It’s no fun with sun around
But I get going when the sun goes down
And I meet my baby

That’s when we kiss and kiss and kiss
And then we kiss some more
Don’t ask how many times we kiss
At a time like this who keeps score

So I don’t care if the shine don’t shine
I’ll get my loving in anytime
When I’m with my baby

As the song ends, Angel and Spike grab Willow and Cordelia, dipping them and giving them a long, passionate kiss much to the delight of the cheering crowd. They finally let the girls back up and they all bowed to the crowd. The guys jumped down from the stage and turned to face the girls. Willow and Cordelia looked down at the two vampires, love in their eyes and jumped into their waiting arms, circling their arms around their necks, again kissing them. The two couples then headed towards the exit of the club, only to be stopped by three very pissed off people.

"What the hell do you think you’re doing with Angel?" Buffy shouted as she grabbed Willow’s arm. She was surprised when Angel grabbed her wrist, forcefully separating the girls.

"Leave her alone, Buffy. I won’t let you hurt her," he said angrily. He turned to Spike and Cordelia. "Why don’t you two take off."

"I’ll talk to you later, mate," Spike said as he bent and gave Willow a kiss on the cheek. "It’ll be okay, pet," he whispered to the redhead. Cordelia gave Willow a kiss and smiled over at Angel before allowing Spike to lead her from the club.

"What’s going on Willow?" Oz asked his girlfriend. "I mean, what was all that about?"

"How could you two do this to us?" Buffy questioned the two people whom she loved more than life.

"It’s not something we planned on happening Buffy," Willow replied, knowing that only part of that comment was a lie. They had been planning on the song and reactions for three weeks, but the feelings that had developed between Willow and Angel had been completely natural.

"Why don’t I believe you, you little slut," Buffy said angrily, wanting to strike Willow. If it wasn’t for the fact that they were in public, she would have staked the girl on the spot, human or not.

"Maybe it’s not Willow’s fault," Oz tried to reason. "Angel’s a grown man, well vampire. Maybe he seduced Willow." Oz was trying to come up with a logical explanation as to why the girl he loved was kissing and hanging all over the dark vampire.

Willow sighed, "There was no seduction, Oz. Well at least not on Angel or my part. We were friends and discovered that there was something more there. We just didn’t feel the need to hide from you. We didn’t want there to be any secrets between us," Willow said pointedly looking between Buffy and Oz, who were oblivious to her meaning so caught up in the pain of seeing Willow in Angel’s arms.

"How long?" Buffy asked. "How long have the two of you been together?"

Willow looked over at Angel, who whispered something in her ear. She turned to face Buffy and Oz, an smile full of malice forming on her face. "We’ve been together since the night we found the two of you screwing in your bedroom." With that said, Angel and Willow left the Bronze and two very stunned lovers in their wake.
