Revenge Is Sweet

Part 17

Willow and Cordelia arrived home to find two very tired vampires waiting for them. They smiled as they received some very deep kisses from the men in their lives.

"What are you two doing up?" Willow asked as snuggled into Angel’s lap. "I would have thought that you would have been asleep still."

Angel held Willow tightly as he kissed the top of her head. "Funny thing happened. When I went to bed, I discovered that I couldn’t sleep without a certain red head to keep me warm."

"Same here," Spike said as he looked into Cordelia’s eyes.

"Oh, you needed a certain red head to keep you warm too," she teased wrapping her arms around the blonde vampire. He growled at her as he gave her a passionate kiss.

"Nope, just you," he told her. "You are more than enough for me."

 "Good."

"So then what have the two of you been up to all day, if not sleeping?" Willow asked, laughing at Spike and Cordelia.

"It’s a surprise." Willow looked up at the man who was holding her, a glint of pleasure in her eyes.

 "What kind of surprise?"

"One that I hope you like,’ he said as he stood her up. Taking her hand, he led her to his bedroom. When he turned on the light, illuminating the darkened room, Willow gasped.

"Angel," she said, not sure what she wanted to ask. Angel was standing behind her and wrapped her waist with his arms, pulling her against him. Willow took in the changes that had occurred while she had been in school. The closet was open, revealing her clothes hanging there. She saw her makeup and other things lining one of the bureaus.

"Are you happy, my love?" Angel asked, hoping that Willow wouldn’t be mad at his assuming she would share his room. Willow answered him by turning in his arms and drawing his mouth to hers.

"I’m very happy," she replied before kissing him.

Cordelia smiled at the couple in front of her before she felt Spike take her hand. He brought her to his room, showing her the same thing that had just affected Willow so much. She turned to him, tears in her eyes as she realized what it took for Spike to do this for her.

"Spike, I don’t know what to say."

"Say you’ll stay with me," he told her. "As long as you can." Cordelia realized that there would be no better time to tell Spike about her conversation with her parents.

"That can be an awfully long time," she said wrapping her arms around his neck. At his look of confusion, Cordelia took a moment to explain what she meant. "I talked to my parents the other night. They are in no rush to see me come home. I can stay for good if you’d like." Cordelia’s anxiety over Spike’s reaction disappeared as soon as she saw the grin that spread over his face. He picked the brunette up and spun her around, causing her to squeal and bringing the attention of the other couple.

"What is going on with them?" Angel asked. "I’ve never seen Spike so happy."

"I believe that would be because he just found out that Cordy’s folks said she could stay here for good." Willow looked up at the man beside her. "Looks like you’re stuck with us."

"I can think of nothing I like more," Angel grinned at the girl in his arms. Angel then realized that Willow and Cordelia had never had a chance to tell them if they had any run-ins with their former friends. "What happened in school today?"

Cordelia broke into a wide grin." Oh, you should have been there. It was great." Cordelia and Willow led the vampires into the living room, so that they could get more comfortable. Angel and Willow sat on the couch, while Cordelia sat in one of the chairs, Spike on the arm.

 "So, tell. What happened pet?"

"You tell them, Cordy. I can see you’re dying to."

"Okay, first we walked in and everyone was staring at us. I think they were all still surprised about the whole Bronze thing. Then Willow and I were at her locker, talking about this weekend and what happened." Willow blushed as she remembered the conversation. "Then Buffy came over to us."

"Buffy? What the hell did she want?" Spike asked.

"Hold on a sec and I’ll tell you," Cordelia admonished her boyfriend. "Well, apparently Faith had figured out the whole revenge thing and told the others. Buffy was convinced that Angel and Willow only kissed to get back at the two of them. Then she saw the bite marks you gave me and accused you of feeding from me. That’s when Willow goes, and I quote ‘Those are not made by a vampire that is humgry, but a vampire in heat.’" The men laugh at this, Angel giving Willow a squeeze and kiss.

 "You didn’t," he asked her.

Willow proudly shook her head, "I most certainly did. Of course that allowed her to bring in the whole soul happiness thing."

"And what did you say to that, little one?"

"I just walked up to her and told her that it wasn’t there anymore," Willow shrugged, a grin forming on her face.

"Bravo, Red." Spike applauded from his perch. "I really wish I had been there to see that. What was the slayer’s reaction to that?"

"Don’t know," Willow replied. "We just walked away from her after that. Didn’t really want to stick around." Willow snuggled into Angel’s chest, allowing him to circle his arms around her form. "Besides, what she thinks doesn’t mean anything to me anymore. This is what’s important," Willow made a slight gesture taking in the house and the inhabitants. "My family."

"So this means that you won’t be plotting anymore revenge on Buffy?" Angel teased the witch. Willow had the decency to smile wickedly at his question.

"Oh, I won’t necessarily plot anything, but if opportunity knocks, who am I to not answer the door." Everyone in the room laughed at Willow’s comment. The foursome relaxed, discussing what they had done during the day and making plans for that night. The discussion was interrupted by Cordelia’s cell phone ringing. She went over to her purse and answered it.

"Hello……Hey Giles, what’s up?…..Yes, it’s true….I’d rather not discuss it over the phone….Another one, you have to be kidding me……What do you mean, you think it might involve me and Willow?…..Okay….Yeah, she’s right here with me as are Spike and Angel…..Okay, we’ll see you just after sunset….Bye Giles."

Cordelia hung up the phone and looked over to see the other three people staring at her, wondering about the conversation she had just had with Giles. "Giles, wants us to meet him and the others at the library after sunset. There’s another prophecy."

Willow groaned at the thought of having to deal with Buffy, Xander and Oz again. She had planned on talking to Giles later in the week, explaining why she didn’t feel comfortable coming into the library and telling him how he could get in touch with her if he needed research done.

"Does that include me, pet?" Spike asked. Cordelia nodded at him.

"Yes. Buffy told him about the four of us," Cordelia explained, "and what happened on Friday night, so he knows that you are in town. He said that it made understanding the prophecy slightly easier."

"What do you mean, made understanding the prophecy easier?"

"It seems that the prophecy may be about us."
