Buffy came to a stop outside Willow's house.  She looked up and down the
street, making sure that she hadn't been seen, then marched up to the
door and banged loudly.  After a few minutes the door was pulled open by a
sleepy Angel, who hid in the shadows.

"Angel, we need to talk,"  Buffy pushed into the house and took Angel's
unbuttoned and un-tucked shirt.  "Did I wake you?"  She asked sweetly.

"No.  I was just about to go sunbathing,"  Angel replied sarcastically
as he moved into the living room where the thick curtains protected him from
the sun.  "Why are you here?"  He asked without preamble.

"Like I said, we need to talk,"  Buffy sat on one of the sofas and stretched
out her legs, her short skirt rising to an almost indecent extent.

"I think you've said enough,"  Angel sat on the opposite sofa and quickly
buttoned up his shirt.

"Let me explain,"  Buffy leaned forward, almost falling out of her top.

"Explain what?  You should be apologizing.  To Willow."  Angel stood and
began to pace.

"It's just that seeing you with *her* made me realize what we had was so
special."  Buffy's eyes followed Angel around the room.

"*Her*?"  I think you mean Willow, Buffy.  The girl who has been your
best friend since you came here."  Angel stopped his pacing to lean against
the fire place.

"Best friends don't betray each other."  Buffy pouted.

"Nobody betrayed you, Buffy."  Angel snapped angrily.  "We were finished."

"You're just confused."  Buffy persisted, standing and moving over to him.
"Let me make it all better,"  she trailed her hand down his chest seductively.

"Enough!"  Angel yelled, jumping back.  "I love Willow.  I don't want you."
Angel continued backing away from Buffy.  "What will it take to make you
understand?"

"You don't love her,"  Buffy advanced on Angel.  "You're grateful.  She gave
you a permanent soul."  She smiled as an idea popped into her head.  "Why
don't we go test it?"

"You're right.  I am grateful to Willow.  I love her *and* I'm grateful to
her."  Angel sat down heavily.  "And we've already put my soul to the
test."

"She can't make you happy.  I can."  Buffy was adamant.

"Willow makes me happier that I've ever been."

"Not for much longer," Buffy smiled sweetly.  "I don't think she'll be very
happy either when she comes home to find me and you together."  Buffy
began removing her clothes.  "Just you and me.  Alone."

"Actually Slutty, it's just you, the poof and me.  Alone."  Spike sauntered
into the room, a mug of blood in his hand.   "And if you don't put those
clothes back on, I might just lose my breakfast."
