"Could they be taking these girls?" Angel asked. He saw Willow shake her head yes quickly. "Let's get out there!"
Giles and Angel start to leave, but Willow stays still.
"Buffy!" she squeaked.
"We don't know that it's concrete," Giles started. "Uh, let's not disturb her until."
"Is there," Willow interrupted. "With Cordelia. They went to a party at the Zeta Kappa house."
"She lied to me?" Giles asked.
"Well," Willow said nervously.
"Did.she have a date?" Angel asked.
"Well," Willow started again. "Well, why do you think she went to that party? Because you gave her the brush off." She then turned to Giles. "And you never let her do anything except work and patrol! And I know she's the Chosen One, but you're killing her with the pressure! I mean, she's sixteen going on forty!" Willow turned to Angel once more. "And you! I mean, you're gonna live forever! You don't have time for a cup of coffee?!"
Later that evening...
Angel comes down the stairs of the Bronze and stands behind Xander.
"Angel, Angel, Angel," Xander said. "Does every conversation we have have to come around to that freak?" Glancing up, he sees Angel behind him and to the side. "Hey, man. How you doin'?"
"Buffy," Angel stated.
"Angel," she repeated to him.
"Xander," Xander said to himself in a low voice.
"I hear this place, uh, serves coffee," Angel said. "I thought maybe you and I should get some. Sometime. If you want."
Buffy starts to smile. "Yeah, sometime. I'll let you know.
Angel watched her carefully as she got up and left. Xander left moments later trailing after her, leaving Willow with Angel.
As Willow watched them leave the club, she started to get up but stopped when she heard Angel's voice.
"Is she gone yet?"
"Huh?"
"Buffy, is she gone yet?"
"Um.yeah."
"Good. I can drop the act."
"What act?"
"The act of wanting her."
"But you do want her. You spend time with her and."
"To get to you, Willow."
Her eyes widened at this statement. "Me?" she squeaked.
"It's always been about you. Buffy is a Slayer. I would never want her. Could never want her. But you.you're.everything I ever wanted. You're smart.beautiful."
"You.you don't mean that. You.you and Buffy."
"It's simple, Willow. I've been around a long time and I know what I want."
"But."
Angel brought his lips to Willow's, sliding his fingers through her hair. Pulling back, he looked into her eyes. "It's you I want. Do you want me?"
Before Willow could realize what she was doing, she was shaking her head yes.
Angel smirked and leaned over to whisper into her ear. "And now I'm planning to have you." Grabbing her hand, he led her out of the club.
