~Part: 1~

Kennedy was pacing. It had all made sense now. She knew that she shouldn't have "tapped" into Willow's laptop, but she had to know. She looked at her sleeping lover, afraid for what would or was happening. It had been almost three years since he came back. He was one of the most vicious vampires that had walked. Kennedy had heard the stories, from all of them. She looked out her window, a part of her wanted to walk out to the balcony. She wasn't on her game today and he could be there. Kennedy, like Faith, had loved her calling. She knew she couldn't protect Willow all by herself and Willow had refused to tell the gang about the games Angelus was playing. Willow reminded Kennedy that between rebuilding the Council and locating the now active slayers; they had enough going on. Kennedy picked up one of Willow's now ever-present cigarettes. At first Kennedy was against them. Now they helped her think.

Kennedy hated admitting she might be in over her head. She had never faced Angelus directly. He was really only toying with Willow. Kennedy wanted to know why there had been no direct attack on Willow or herself. He had kept a low profile. This angered Kennedy because she wanted a clue as to what she was facing. Faith had only told her Angelus was wicked and powerful. It seemed Angelus was a topic no one ever wanted to discuss. Kennedy had too many questions, pure and simple. The biggest question was why the hell didn't the curse work again? Willow had given him the curse before, why didn't it stick. Kennedy chuckled to herself about him having a Teflon soul, can't seem to stick to that vampire.

She crept over to Willow's bag that had her address book. She copied Spike's number down. She wasn't sure what she was going to do. But she knew he could help, or at the very least offer insight to their "Angelus" situation. He had spent many years with him and taught him very well. Her next task was not letting Willow know that she now knew everything that her lover hadn't told her. Part of Kennedy was angry that Willow had hid this information from her. Lucky for Kennedy, Willow wasn't good at keeping secrets. Kennedy looked at the clock, knowing Spike was merely four hours away.

Kennedy slipped the number into a safe place. Tomorrow she would have to talk to Spike. She had a certain respect for him, more than many of the slayers. She only hoped that they could find a way to stop Angelus, before anyone else Kennedy cared about ended up dead. Kennedy had no doubt that list could include herself. She was a slayer and he was a vampire. Plus, she was one of the main things that kept him from his goal.

The following morning Willow woke up in a big empty bed. She panicked, worried where Kennedy was. She saw the drawing on her bed. She felt the drop in her pulse. She tentatively reached for the rolled up parchment. With his gifts, Willow simply never knew what to expect. This one was of Kennedy lying back in bed, a sated smile on her face. Willow took a deep breath. This was his way of letting her know Kennedy was next. Willow then got out of bed and went to find Kennedy; it was time to move. Willow had long ago decided she hated moving. Willow was busy packing when she smelled the smoke. She jumped as she saw him standing there.

"Jumpy?"

"A little. How the hell did you get in?" She asked.

"Your Bird called me."

"Where is she?" Willow asked, fearing for her lover.

"Hunting him as we speak." Spike said.

"He'll kill her, soon." Willow said.

"Probably, his patience has its limits."

"How did it happen?" Willow asked.

"Last battle with Wolfram and Hart. Giles and the other do-gooders are looking into it."

"Any luck?"

"Define luck."

"You know what I mean." Willow said, angry that Spike was here. "I need to find Kennedy. We have to move."

"He did love a chase, do you honestly think he'll just get bored chasing you? Maybe just give up?"

"I don't know." She weakly said.

"You are smarter than that. You can lie to your bird, even to me, but in your soul, you know he won't quit until he breaks you." Spike said.

"I don't want another dead lover." Willow whispered.

"It happens with humans, they die." Spike said.

"Did she tell you everything?"

"He doesn't need an invite, does he? I bet he watches you at night. He did so love balconies, well Darla always liked the views, and what Darla wanted, she got."

"What is he gonna do to me?" Willow asked.

"I think he'll try and break you, like Dru. Then turn you, make you dependent on him. He likes to be the center of attention." Spike said with a chuckle.

"I feared that."

"Will you help me?" Willow asked Spike.

"I can't say no to you and you know that." Spike said with a grin.

"Why?"

"I wish I knew. I think it began that night I kidnapped you."

"Which time?"

Spike laughed. "At the factory. Such a pretty thing you were, still innocent. In your dorm room, I saw something in your eyes, when I was on top of you, something dark."

"And here I thought I hid it well."

"I'm already dark, I can sense that in people."

"So, do we have a plan?"

"We leave, now."

"But Kennedy.."

"If you leave her, he'll leave her alone. The only interest he has in her is you."

"I'll tell her tonight." Willow said.

"I'll help you pack." Spike said.

~Part: 2~

Willow took one last look at the house. Leaving Kennedy was not as hard as she imagined. There was a small part of her brain, reminding her that Spike would be helping her now. Spike was such a paradox for her. She admitted to lusting after him, she still had some fear of him and she respected him, seeing the depth of emotion he possessed. She then walked to the Land Rover Spike had secured for their drive. She took a deep breath and had left. She didn't even ask where they were going. Her head simply hurt. She hoped that Kennedy would understand. It might even save her life. Or it would kill her, Willow thought to herself.

Willow was amazed as Spike found a secure spot quickly. Willow was very aware of the impending sunrise. She had not told Spike that she was going to contact Kennedy. He might get angry with her. She wanted to ask him, but on some other lever, she didn't. "We are here. There are no working phones, in case you were wondering."

"Why not?"

"We are hiding, aren't' we pet. Not too many phones around here."

"I guess." Before she even had the chance to look at him, he was in front of her. "I told you I would keep you safe, do you trust me?"

"Yes and no." She answered.

"Fair enough." Spike said with a grin.

Willow looked at the small cabin. It had one bedroom and a kitchen that double as a family room. Willow looked around, seeing mementos. "This was someone's home."

"A few years ago, it was. No recent occupation that was human anyway. " The vampire said indifferently.

"Did you kill them?" Willow asked.

"No. I might bite, Willow, but I don't kill. "

"I guess that's fair."

"I'm a vampire, its what I do."

"Do you want to bite me Spike?" Willow asked.

"At times, I won't mind sinking more than my fangs into you."

Willow laughed. "Spike I need to know, has he killed her yet?"

"Who?"

"Kennedy, my little bird."

"I don't know."

"I think you do know." Willow said.

"Willow, you might be a little tired, perhaps a nap." Spike suggested.

"I slept in the car, don't you remember?"

"I was driving Pet."

"Don't lie to me Spike. I have tolerance for liars. Has he killed her yet?"

"How should I know?" Spike asked.

"You brought me here, to his place. "

"What?"

"He was here, he killed the family that lived here." Willow said slyly.

"You can't be sure."

"But I can, he's near. "

"It's daylight."

"But he can see us now, he's waiting." Willow said, giggling a little.

"You are worrying me."

"I'm so past worrying. I'm tired Spike. I'm tired of running, of hiding. I want him out of my life."

"Then you shall have it." The soft voice spoke.

"Angelus. I knew you would be here." Willow said, without turning to look at him.

"You brought her here Spike, you brought her home." Angelus said.

"I want a taste of her. That was our deal." Spike said.

"Why me Angelus?"

"Because you wanted me. All those years ago, back when you were innocent, you wanted me. Even at my worst, you wanted me. I tried to get you out of my head, but then she came, your vampire double. I knew then I could only get you out of my head one way."

"If all you wanted was sex." Willow said.

"What I want goes far beyond the pleasures of the flesh, as you know."

"Spike, I forgive you." Willow said. She kept her eyes closed so he wouldn't see them darkening. She felt the power in this rainforest. She was harnessing the energy when she felt the fangs. Angelus screamed as the heat for the lightening hit her and him. Spike just smiled, loving to see his sire in pain.

Willow then backed away from Angelus. "How did I taste?"

"Bitch!" He growled to her.

Willow laughed. She knew whatever she did to him would not go unpunished. She didn't care. What she didn't count on was the other set of fangs that sank into her neck. Willow felt her body getting weaker, her legs no longer able to hold her up. She felt the strong cool arms holding her up. "Like Altoids, not bad." Spike said. He then tossed her to his sire. Spike had decided there was a certain slayer he was in the mood for.
